a week agoThe Sugar Forest *At the edge of the forest, sunlight dapples through the trees, the air feels cooler and thicker here but Starlia finds a small clearing and makes her way in. Curious, determined, slightly clumsy and with a thirst for magic, Starlia looked for a place where she could practice the art of shapeshifting.
Starlia has been studying the basics of shapeshifting under the tutelage of a mage at True Crossover Academy of the Blue Flame. She went out on her own, feeling that she’s ready for the challenge. She imagined she would turn into some kind of tiger or a wolf but this particular potion had the name “ursa essence”. Which she failed to investigate the name of the potion and therefore, had no idea what ursa meant.
Starlia makes her way deeper into the forest while clutching a small vial filled with a honey-colored liquid. Her heart hammers against her ribs. The air smells of damp earth and pine needles. The woods feel both inviting and intimidating.
“Okay, Starlia,” she whispers to herself, adjusting the satchel on her shoulder. “You can do this! Just like sensei showed you. Focus, breathe, and…”
She holds the vile and whispers, “Feel the ursa essence within!” She takes a deep breath and then drinks the contents of the vile. She was expecting a quick transformation but nothing happened for a few minutes. She gets up about to leave when she starts to feel the instincts of a bear. The change isn’t overwhelming to her perhaps because she is already a hybrid but she notices the clarity in her hearing and the sharpness in her senses. She also feels much stronger but the change isn’t of a full bear, but a human/bear hybrid.
Starlia is a little confused and heads to a nearby lake to take a look at her transformation. She laughs a bit and smiles. “I look cute. But um, how will I change back?” She facepalms realizing she forgot to get the chant to revert to her normal form.*
“Ah damn! I’m gonna be in big trouble. I’ll explore the forest for a while and see if I can think of something! Or I’ll have to call Sugar to help me out here!” She would roam around the forest exploring until it was afternoon. She had actually found other cute hybrids and other animals, a few would stay away from her due to her being in bear form but she wasn’t offended. She figured it made sense and then started to head back, pulling out her cell phone and calling Sugar for help.* @sugar

*Sugar had just arrived home from school and was wondering why Starlia wasn’t there. She looked all over.* Did she forget we have homework to do? *She would then get a phone call which would answer her question. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing and searched the room for the potion and chant that would help her shift back to her normal form.* Baka! Who told you to go do this on your own? What if you would have shapeshifted into a fish! Tch! Ok, I’m on my way!
