*As the movie draws to a close I collect our things and lead Autumn by the hand out of the theater. Because it was a matinee showing, there is still plenty of daylight left.*

that was a really good movie. so um we still have awhile before it gets dark wanna go to the park?

*I smile at her and offer her my arm.* “Of course, I’d love to.”

*i take his arm and smile at him* great *we head towards the park*

*We come upon a fountain in the park and I pull out some loose change.* “Do you want to make a wish?”

sure *I smile*

*I toss a coin into the fountain and make a wish.*

*i close my eyes and make a wish as i toss the coin into the fountain*

*I turn to Autumn and tilt her chin up toward my face, looking deeply into her eyes I lean in and kiss her.*

*i slowly start returning the kiss after hesitating for a second. after a little bit a turn away gasping*

*I notice her pull back and turn away embarrassed.* “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to upset…” *The words kind of feel lost and without meaning.* “Why don’t we head home? I can call us a taxi.”

*i nod silently trying to hide my face from you scared that you will find out what i am thinking or feeling*

*I dial a cab and walk away to give her some space.*

*i notice him walk away and i take a shaky breath and wrap my arms around me as if to keep me from falling apart before i follow him. looking at the ground as i walk behind him*
