“ok, i’l try it” he pushes off the wall to get going and swims a few strokes of it

*When Josh gets to the other side of the shallow area Jillian calls out*”That was good! just make sure your hands slid into the water diagonally and not flat you’ll go a little faster that way”.

“ok, i’ll try t” he says, sounding tired, he pushes off the wall again and tries what she said

*Jillian watched him and nodded he was swimming pretty good, when he got to the other side she swam over*”That was good! you can officially swim in my books”, she said smiling., then noticed that he seemed tired which was normal for people new to swimming.”um lets take a break”, she said before getting out of the pool and siting on the deck, her legs in the water.

“ok” Josh says, breathing heavily, he hops up on the deck beside Jillian

“umm just to warn you, you may smell chorine sometimes in the dorm room. It has become my scent, literally”, She said quietly.

Josh takes a deep breath through his nose, “it’s not that bad” he says, smiling slightly

“i bet if I’m still swimming in 10 years it’ll be really bad”, she said quietly, smiling.

“what do you mean ‘in 10 years’?”Josh asks, slightly confused

“cant go to the olympics, 14 years old, in about 10 years i bet ill be ready to go and get a medal”, she said kicking her feet slightly in the water.

“if you make it, i’ll root for you” He says looking at her, smiling

*Jillian blushed*”Thanks”.

“i don’t play any sports, i can at least get involved by watching yours”

“um, sure”, Jillian said smiling shyly.

“so when do you start races?” Josh asks, getting back in the water
