Josh looks at his schedule, reads it over a dozen times, memorizing it, then looks for his classes, trying to make a mental map of those

*Sits at the grand piano in the empty music room and plays moonlight sonata. Eyes are closed  and all thought slips away. Nayr is lost and alone into and within the music.

A young woman was standing in front of the gates to the school. Her long ginger-blond hair was curly and shaggy and her brilliant blue eyes were adorned by black hipster-style glasses. She was wearing a layered blue t-shirt with white sleeves and khaki shorts. On her feet were canvas hi-tops with socks peeping out of them. She was nervous.

*Jillian walks on the beach watching the waves as they darkened, it was becoming night time very, very quickly, she sighed and turned around tracking her way back to the school*

*Nayr walks down the sidewalk away from the school. As Jillian approaches he gives her a small nod and holds up his hand offering a curt wave as they pass.

*Taken by surprise, Jillian waved back at the last second awkwardly,”Damnit! he probably thinks I’m weird now!”, she though infuriated at her self, this happened all the time were Jillian turns a totally none awkward situation into an awkward one. she kept walking until she was on the campus then sat down in a bench watching the sky to see if she could find the first star.

*Some time later Nayr returned to campus. He walked through the empty courtyards occasionally glancing at the lights from windows. By now it was night and the only illumination was emitted from the stars and street lights around the school. In the distance Nayr saw the now-familiar girl sitting on a bench gazing at the starlight sky.* “Hello, pardon me miss but what are you doing out here so late at night?”

“um, I… Cant sleep”, she said quietly.

“Oh? What’s got you up?”

“nothing really”, she said quietly.

“I see… I’m Nayr I don’t believe we have met before, but I see you around.”

“um, yeah im Jillian”, she said a little quieter.

“Aha, but I must be bothering you. Sorry about that. Be safe out here it’s still California even on campus.”

“yeah, ehhe”, Jillian siad scratching the back of her head.

“Arrivederci, goodnight.” *Nayr turned and continued through campus in the direction of his building*
