Chapter Five: Retribution

“It’s nothing. Everything’s fine.” <i>Jack got up, putting a shirt on and walking to the kitchen, looking around the strange white ship for Calypsa.</i>

Apollo wondered what Calypsa was. “Hey, if you don’t mind me asking, what are you? Like…are you an Inversic or something?”

Katherine followed Jack, just to make sure he was actually alright. When Katherine and Jack reached where Apollo was, Katherine just acted as if Calypsa wasn’t even there, sitting in the washing machine next to Apollo’s dryer/bed.

*Pandora’s dreams 😀 *Rainbows!* : She was back in her cell room at the facility were she was experimented on, she was in a white sleeveless dress, the room was all white except for the black iron door, scorch marks surrounded it, She felt weak in the room her wings drooped and touched the floor. Pandora moved her legs and took a slow step, she was fair foot, she eventually reached the door, she lifted her hand ever so slowly it seemed like it took 10 minutes for her to place it on the door, she tried to use her fire to melt the door but nothing happened, Pandora looked at her hand confused, then felt the door heating up only just she wasn’t using her fire, her Tattoo was not activating like it usually did when she got mad or used her flames. it continued to heat up until her palm started to hurt, she tried to put down her hand but it went so slowly off the door their was blood dripping from her blackened palm, she tried to step back but could not at the door appeared normal it radiated more heat, She panicked used all her strength to jump back which happened in slow motion again, she fell on her back and stared at the door trying to move but could not. The door cracked open and 2 red beady eyes stared back at her from the darkness of the hall, all of a sudden the door flung open with suck force a heat wave brushed her face as she looked on at the figure scared. Emerged through the darkness was herself only her hair was black with red high lights and she was wearing a black dress similar to the one she was wearing her self, she looked at her with red eyes menacingly, murder was in them. The dark Pandora started to cry blood, the dark figure smirked at Pandora as the blood hit the white floor with a patter. “Why did you kill those people? the scientists? What have they done to you?”, Pandora tried to answer but nothing came out but a strangled squeak. The dark version of her self grabbed her by the neck and held her up smiling devilishly at her. Pandora slowly moved her hands to her neck grasping the wrists of her evil self trying to pull away but could not she was to slow and weak to do anything really, blood dripped from their wrists, Pandora grunted at the pain.”Hurts doesn’t it?”, the evil self of her said. “Why don’t you accept my power Pandora? why don’t you let me out forever!?”, The evil self of her said raising her farther up into the air. Pandora’s wings and legs hung limp. She tried to speak but nothing came out again. “I don’t under stand why you killed the scientists I liked them personally they brought me out for the first time in a century”, Pandora’s vision was failing and the pain in her palm increased as her dark self tightened her grip on her neck. “I helped you escape too! your so weak that all you could do was fend them off, you couldn’t even pierce the guards armor!”, she said before slamming Pandora against the wall making a crater around Pandora, she opened her mouth to yell in pain but nothing came out she felt like that had broken her back and wings. “Its a shame that your suck a goody too shoes compared to me, Your true self, not your outer shell why don’t you let me out Pandora? why don’t you just let the havoc out?”, the evil figure asked.”N-No”, Pandora said weakly.”Y-Your-r aa B-Bad D-Dream…G-Go A-Away”, Pandora squeaked as her dark self threw her through the opposite wall, Pandora was falling now, she tried to use her wings but of corse they didn’t work. Pandora opened her eyes in the room she was in, her wings shot open and she thrashed in place breathing hard, she punched at the air as some fire shot from her fist dissipating (idk if i used the word right) before it ought anything on fire, she stopped thrashing and looked around frantic and fearful her wings out stretched and vibrating.

Apollo heard a loud thud from the upper floor. “You don’t think that was…” Apollo dashed downstairs and knocked on Pandora’s door. “Pandora! Pandora are you alright? Why is everyone acting so weird!” Apollo lifted the door off of its hinges and ran into Pandora’s bedroom. “Why is the wall charred?”

*Pandora screamed at the door then fell over back wards on the other side of the bed thrashing hysterically, a couple Crimson feathers floated around her*

Katherine followed Apollo, but instead of asking anything, Katherine looked at the scene before slowly approaching the hysterical Ascendii and silently say, “Are you alright? Its me, Katherine.” Katherine stopped at a point and waited.

*Pandora eventually stopped thrashing and hugged her knees, her wings out stretched and vibrating she was breathing hysterically now, fear was in her eyes, she shakily looked from Katherine to Apollo and back then stared down*”Ka- Ap-“, she said gulping trying to calm herself down.

Katherine knelt beside Pandora and slowly hugged her, rubbing circles in her back. “You don’t have to tell me…….just remember it was then, not now, we’ll protect you…” Katherine had her fair share of nightmares, that’s why she knew what Pandora was going through.

*Pandora flinched as Katherine touched her back remembering when her Dark self supposedly broke her wings and back, she ran her hand along her neck to see if their was and bruises, their were none then she looked at her palm and saw that it was neither bleeding or black, she gulped and tried to slow her breath but to no avail*

Apollo, who never had a dream, was extremely confused. “So, what is going on?”

Katherine slowly wrapped her wings around Pandora, making a small comforting heat around them. “You are not whoever that was, you are not broken, and you are not hurt.” Katherine listed common nightmares among experiments, it would explain a lot, these nightmares also tend to bring the strongest to their breaking point.

“um…Major symbolism happend”, Pandora said gulping.”T-Thanks Katherine…Its not the first time she visited me though”.

Apollo took a seat next to Pandora. “Who? Who visited?”
