Chapter Five: Retribution

<div>Faye rubs her eyes slowly as she starts to sit up, the words Geralt said earlier echoing through her mind for a moment…then they were gone. “Gosh…that was a really vivid dream…” Faye glances around the ship, her eyes widening and watering again out of fear, “T-the…Fury? N-No… It can’t be! I-It was all a dream…right?” She holds her face in her hands, breathing quickly.</div>

The chair turns, and Odysseus is sitting in it, wearing spectacles and a bow tie while reading Crime and Punishment. “Hello, Jack.”

Calypsa stands up, and proceeds to the telemetry control tower above the primary hangar. She sees a few odd blips on the radar, and zooms in on them with the orbital telescopes.

Jack sighed, staring at the fictional Ody.
“Aetheress, Nameless One, some Daomer that is messing with me, I’d prefer to be brought back.” Jack said shortly.
“Or, this is just a figment of my imagination. Which is the best option. Or you somehow managed to fuck with my brain, being far far away.” Jack glared at him.
“I’m warning you Ody, I’m coming. Not only for abandoning your teammates to die, or for planning this while you hid behind a false smile, I’m coming for the children. And I will get them. And then I’ll kill you.” Jack said menacingly, staring through him with piercing red eyes.

Apollo looked at the cockpit dials. “So…”

Odysseus looks at Jack with sad eyes. “I’m afraid to say, old friend, that I am very real. But you need to stop. I’m not strong enough, not for that. If you come to kill me, I won’t be able to hold Ozymandias back anymore. I can barely hold a grip on him as it is. We are both each other’s puppets, but unfortunately he’s the one in control of my body at the moment. If you come to kill him though, you’ll cut the strings. And then… You’ll all die. Besides, the Keepers need you. You actually have bigger problems than Ozymandias himself as of now.” Odysseus takes a sip of his tea, glancing at a vase of white tulips sitting on his desk before looking expectantly at Jack.

“Hey Jack, even though I totally just kidnapped a bunch of kids and backstabbed my entire team and now a member of the OGA, please don’t kill me, there are totally more important things than shoving me through a garbage disposal!” Jack said back mockingly, folding his arms.
“Lemme think about it…nope. Still gonna kill you. Regardless of how Ozy may or may not be a split-personality, getting rid of him is going to benefit us immensely. So I refuse your offer, and give my own. In fact, my offer is this.” Jack stuck his hand up, giving Ody the bird.
“I’m gonna go now.”

Apollo rang up Jack again. “Hey, Jack. You haven’t responded five minutes ago. Please leave a tone after this message.”

Calypsa zooms in on the blips, and they multiply to hundreds. She recognizes them immediately, and calls out on the intercom as alarms sound. “OGA vessels incoming! Prepare to evacuate!”

“I was not in control of my actions, Jack! I could only keep him from killing more! Do you know what it’s like, to have all the darkness inside you stab you with a thousand knives? To paralyze you and pull you out of your own eyes?” Odysseus’ face darkens for a moment, but his eyes remain the same. He sits back down in his chair and sips more tea. “You should be worried about Faye. She is dangerous.” Odysseus looks to the side, startled. “You must return to the others. The OGA is coming. I will contact you again.” Odysseus and the room dissapear around Jack, depositing him back on his shuttle.

Jack’s vision shifted back into the cockpit of the small ship. He put a hand to his ear, talking into the comms.
“Jack to Fury. Is everything alright?”

Calypsa responds. “Hello, Jack! No! Things are not alright! We have 7 OGA sub-fleets incoming! Some help would be appreciated!”

Katherine turned to Rose before anything. “Uh, come please?” Rose said into the comm as the ship got attacked. Rose looked at the others.

“Fuck!” Jack shouted, spinning the ship around, launching towards Fury. Jack was a fucking idiot, he should have never left. Now they’re in trouble and he’s around ten minutes away.
“I’m coming!”

Rose looked at Calypsa as she opened her wings. “They didn’t enter the ship yet, but I can attack them from the outside. Make sure the others are okay.” Rose went to the hatch and entered space, using her wings to guide her to one of the ships and start attacking.
