Chapter Five: Retribution

Andaluza shrugged. He always hated cantaloupe. “Pandora, Apollo, let’s go back to the main room. Apollo will show us how to use our new electric abilities, right?” Andaluza slugged Apollo in the shoulder happily, finally being able to be friends with the person he constantly tried to kill.

Jack yanked himself out of grinding across the side of the ship, narrowly avoiding a high-speed collision with an OGA ship. He spun to the side, holding his breath to keep in the nausea of spinning over and over, firing and destroying the ship that missed him.
“I’ll stay out here!” He said over the comms.
“I’m guarding the hangar so they can’t dock. Evacuate now!”

Apollo commed Jack back. “It’s fine, we ditched them. Come to the lab, I want to show you something.”
Apollo winked at Pandora and Andaluza. “Fireworks time.”

Andaluza stared at the hangar bay. “No, we don’t even know how to use this!”

“We didn’t ditch them, idiot!” Jack shouted, dodging gunfire.
“There are ships surrounding us. I need some backup!”

*Pandora held out her hand and a little ball of electricity formed then zapped her*”ow!”, she said shaking her hand.

Apollo, by now, had dashed behind Jack and stared over his head. “Jesus, you’re right. Open the turret hatch, I have an idea!” Apollo slapped his hands together, creating a small ball of electricity between them.

Andaluza burned everything outside the turret, aiming for the ships. “Here I’ll just throw some oil out an-”
The ship outside set ablaze and exploded before Andaluza got a chance to burn it.

The exploding ship blasted to pieces, chunks of flaming hot scrap metal slamming into Jack’s tiny ship, him spinning out of control.
“Shit, shit, shit!” Jack shouted, pulling up and revolving uncontrollably.
“Jack to Fury! Crashlanding inbound, someone seal off the newest breach that appears on your monitor, because I’m blasting in!” Jack yelled, speeding towards the white space station, slamming into it and bursting through the hull in a shower of explosions and sparks, shielding his face as his little ship burst apart. The next thing he remembered was a feeling of no air, being yanked somewhere. He came to, looking up. His clothes were torn and he felt an odd warmth, being pinned down by a piece of wreckage embedded in the ship, staring into space in the hole of the Fury he caused, preventing him from flying out.

Apollo opened the airlock and crawled out the side of the ship. “I’m coming for you!” Apollo scaled the side of the ship to where Jack was and held onto the smooth side with his wings. He began to burn off the wreckage and grabbed Jack by the hand, scaling back to the airlock and filling it with air. “You ok? Jack, Jack?!”

Andaluza sealed off the branch and used the advanced movement airlock to the cockpit, opening the door to let Apollo and Jack in.

Jack stood up, blood dripping down his nose and ears, covered in various cuts and bruises.
“We need to get out of here. Where’s Calypsa?”

Apollo pointed to the cockpit. “Already working on it. I infused Andaluza and Pandora with electrokinesis so they should be able to do that now.” Apollo then leaned closer to Jack and whispered silently. “Don’t think about giving Andaluza cantaloupe anymore.”

Andaluza pulled out a locket that read “Shavari V.” and held it away from everyone else, in his room. “I regret it. I really do.”
