Chapter Five: Retribution

“With all due respect guys, but can some of you place my devices into some ports? I need more access to the mainframe!” Odysseus continues to weave between the oncoming currents of OGA ships.

Faye sees the explosion of a door and hides behind a wall for a while. Ascendii… She takes a deep breath and uses her power for the first time in a long time, her hair dissipating, and her entire body fading from view…
She uses her now invisible form to go into the room Mizdog was in, getting near a wall and examining any other guards besides the Ascendii who broke the door…

Harvin reappeared behind Jack, kicking him square in the back and out of the facility, into the air.

Jack grabbed him by the foot, yanking him down and pounding a palm into his nose, shattering it.
“Not so fast, fucker!” <i>He shouted.</i>

Harvin brushed it off, blood draining from it slightly, before a cracking noise broke the silence. “You think Midzog would make me unable to regenerate? Silly human.” Harvin moved his hands towards Jack, launching a destroyed chest plate of osmium at him, locking him inside.

“Jack, you need to be getting to the kids! I’m getting tired up here!” Odysseus’ one wing gets slightly by a drone’s blaster fire. “They’re adapting!”

Jack realized he had immortality, suddenly scared for what this evil man could do. As he was trapped inside, he shoved it apart, breaking free. By then, Harvin was already gone. He breathed heavily, pulling a 8″ knife out of his back, groaning.
“I got a splinter.” Jack said, dropping it.

Rose lead the kids silently away as the others were distracted while fighting. Rose chanted a spell to conceal them as they walked along the halls. “The kids are ready to be free.” Rose spoke silently into the comm, knocking out any guard that comes near.

(He also climbed back into the facility next to Rose)

Faye sneaks around in her invisible form, plugging in a few ports for Odysseus and his mainframe requirements.

“Here.” Jack said, pulling out a small Transmatting machine, enough room for one individual person to stand on. He encouraged the group of around fifteen kids to stand on it, one by one vanishing aboard Betty, escaping. Once they were all gone, Jack spoke over the comms.
“We got the kids out, everyone! Ody, go! Go straight to Chiron-5 and bring them to the police station in Stata City, that’s where I said they’ll be dropped off.” Jack sighed with relief, happy his mission was complete.
“Now, we find Midzog.”

Apollo ripped himself free from the mainframe and was sprinting through the corridor, headed east to where Midzog’s quarters were.

“Thanks-” More laser bolts shock Betty’s shields. “Faye! SAL, start analyzing and cross-referencing! We need to find those Omega Harvesters! Oh, and Jack, I packed some… minor explosives in your pack. Enough to blow up the dome. Now that we have the kids out, you know what to do!”

Harvin raced Apollo, unknowingly, through the corridors, to Midzog’s room.

Rose shuddered at the reminder of Midzog but nonetheless followed Jack.
