Chapter Five: Retribution

Faye continues to play with the systems a bit, getting something on the radar she had up on a nearby screen. She types a few things and gets onto a intercom or a very loud voice amplifier, “Something’s headed this way. When you birds are done playing around, we might need to defend this place…”

“Whoa! That ones intense”, Pandora said looking at the page with interest then turned to Faye.”I ain’t no bird!”, she chirped.”Wait….Ok maybe I am”, she said realizing.

Apollo rushed down to the computers. “Okay, we’re done. And you’re right, something is coming towards here, but it’s constantly beeping. Probably a horrible cloaking system. Whoever owns a cloaker that can even vanish from these computers for even a minute is probably prepared.” Apollo hit the comm button to everyone. “Prepare for space defense! If the enemy docks, we have to take them out hand to hand! Weapons downstairs, those tubes are meant to outfit you instantly in an operations uniform!”

*Pandora went over to the insta out fit tube and it her uniform on then he went over to a missile defence system thing and turned on the shields for the facility, then aimed some missiles at the blinking dot representing the ship*(gtg guys)

Apollo entered the launch vectors and hit the fire button. “Good work Pandora, they’re headed for him.”

Andaluza cracked his knuckles and used the insta-fit tubes to put on his operations uniform. “Nobody’s as perfect as those two. Always ready.” Andaluza nodded at Faye and Apollo.

The Gunman looks out the window, having docked his ship with the OGA hoplite force. “They seem to have taken our beacon as bait. There weapons systems are focused on the probe. We will split our invasion strategy.” The Gunslinger pulls out both pistols, and points at a highly uniformed officer. “Sergeant Lee, you will lead the invading party in your ship through the primary docking tube at the front and bring down the shields. I will bring a select platoon in through… Forceful means. Good luck.” The Gunslinger brings his selected men into his ship and separates from the OGA Hoplite, both ships still cloaked. The Hoplite opens fire on the shields of Apollo’s base.

Faye continues to mess with the computer systems, getting as many defenses on as possible, “Anti-armor missiles prepped, thank you Pan… Anti-ship guns active… Internal defenses on standby…” She presses a few more things, “And here’s the cameras… Let’s have some fun…”

Apollo watched the monitor as the shots bounced harmlessly off the shields. “Good thing I didn’t design this base. Looks like a large platoon headed our way. Wait, they’re still cloaked. Don’t fire back. They will drain their energy using the cloaks. Then we can take them hand to hand. I have a feeling it’s the gunslinger.”

Andaluza makes a growling dog noise as he looks at the monitors. “Doesn’t matter. Their shiny ships and their glow thing are no match for my blow thing.” Andaluza flexes his lungs(?) as he gets prepared for a fight.

Faye nods and zooms the exterior cameras to view the ships, “We’re taking light hits… They may be cloaked but they are not very stealthy… That’s too… Suspicious…” She looks around, “Cartographer? Can you activate heat sensors and see if there’s any other signals?”

Cartographer makes a small whale scream and hits the sensor. “I can’t pick up anything!! I’m sad now!”
Apollo looks again at the map. “This is too small of a force to attack this facility. The Gunslinger must be planning something larger. Yes I know it’s him! We have a good record with everyone else!”

Faye scratches her chin, “It’s okay, Cartographer… Try out as many sensors as you can.” She smiles at the ceiling, “Do you have a preferred nickname, by the way?” She looks at the camera Apollo was on the other side of, talking through it to him, “I completely agree… Keep on guard you guys.”

Andaluza charges his hands and discharges them. “If only Katherine called me Mr. Wind now.”

Apollo spoke through the camera. “All good. Docking area secure. Andaluza you don’t have to flex your muscles that much, just get over here.”
