Chapter Five: Retribution

SAL speaks to Odysseus. ‘Sir, we have the location of the Omega Harvesters.’ Odysseus’ eyes glow red, and his hands shake. “SAL, plot a course immediately.” ‘But sir, the children?’ “SAL, plot the course. NOW.” ‘Yes… sir.’ Ozymandias’ eyes flash a bright red, as the ship jumps to hyperspeed, towards the final destination in the Charybdis Expanse. He smiles, a smile to chill the soul.

Rose had to hide back a flinch at the sight of Midzog but stood strong, “What is your goal exactly, Midzog?”

“EVERYONE, BUMRUSH MIDZOG!” Jack shouted, sprinting at him and attacking, tackling him through the glass window, them both tumbling to the empty hangar 30 feet below, landing painfully.

Andaluza glared at Midzog. “Guess who I’m with. That’s right!” Andaluza charged towards Midzog before turning to the light switch. “Light switch? More like immortality remover.” Andaluza hit the switch, then threw a fireball at Midzog, the combination disabling his (Midzog) exterior shielding.

Apollo guided Harvin down to the bottom of the hangar, throwing him into Midzog’s flagship, shattering it as well as a speeder hovering behind it before slamming him into the ground in a flash of fire. “Oh baby a triple!”

Midzog shouted when he realized that now he could be defeated, his body malfunctioning. He tried to punch Jack, Jack easily blocking it and slamming a fist into Midzog’s face, hitting him so hard that his artificial skin rubbed off, exposing his metal skull underneath. He got up as Midzog twitched, shouting for the group to come down.
“He’s weak now! Everyone come down, he can’t hurt us!”

Faye goes back out of the room, holding her head as the rest of the team seemed to have the fighting taken care of. She then goes out to hunt for an experiment that might have been here…
She dashes through the halls, heading to the armory’s experimental stock…

Ozymandias hails Faye. “I am about to secure your family. Anything that you would like for me to tell them?”

Andaluza looked at Midzog, exploding his exterior.
Harvin got up with Apollo, but decided to retaliate. “Dad!!!!” Harvin mirrored to Midzog and created a sphere of flames with a wind shield, knocking everyone back. “M-Midzog…” Harvin’s eyes flashed blood red before he charged into Apollo, screaming. “YOU!!!!”

Faye hails Ozy back, “Tell them I’ll be home soon…and that I’ll cook them something nice after this is all done.” She smiles a bit, looking back at Geralt as he follows her around.

<i>Jack held Midzog down as Andaluza focused his powers on him, Midzog staring fearfully into Jack’s eyes.</i>
“Please, help m-me.” Midzog whispered.
Jack stared at him, knowing his time was ending.
“No.”
<i>He watched as Midzog’s head blew apart in front of him, somehow unsatisfied. He got up, wiping the blood off his suit.</i>
“Ody, we need a pick-” He said to Ody over the comms, interrupted by a small voice in Midzog’s chest.
“Planetary detonation in T-Minus two minutes.”
Jack looked at the group in shock.
“He must have rigged it so the base would explode once he dies…he’s gonna blow up this whole planet…” Jack said in horror.
“Ody, we need a pickup now!”

Ozymandias’ ship pulls up into the Charybdis Expanse, and he docks with the central core. The men aboard salute him, and he informs them. “Take the children off. They still might prove useful to us.” Ozymandias proceeds into a relatively small central chamber, with a pad at the center. “Midzog delivered it right to me. I knew he would prove a good investment.” Ozymandias dons a leather coat and gloves, and slicks back his hair, sitting in a chair and monitoring the others.

Ozymandias appears on a viewport in front of the others, as the doors around the others are sealed. “Hello, Keepers! In a dire emergency, eh? Well, I’m afraid that I will not be able to assist you!” Ozy presses a button, and the ghostly images of Faye’s parents, with pain-stricken faces, appear on the pad. “Say hello to your parents, Faye!”
