Chapter Four: Fork In The Road

Apollo opened the switchblade he was carrying. “What if something happened to one of us?” Apollo drew the knife dangerously close to his arm. “Nevermind, nothing will. We will do it for the children! For the universe!” Apollo pretended to stab the air. “On it! We’ll take the starfighters.”

“Okay. Hm.. Well how exactly do we do updates?” Malice says lookin at Pandora.

“Battle plan goes as follows once we finish up the finding the location: Once we get to wherever it is, Apollo and Rose scout the planet. Then we find the base, and Pandora and Ody will hack into the mainframe, keeping us from being caught and opening doors with codes. Followed by Ody and Pandora are Geralt, Apollo and Faye. They will attack Midzog and keep the base under siege, while Andaluza, Malice and I find the kids and get them safely away by a teleporter I’m currently working on that will warp ’em to Chiron-5. Now, before we attack Midzog we need to find a way to shut down his body. He’s purely robot, so we need to find his kryptonite. You guys probably don’t know what that means, so what I mean is we need to find his weakness. Alright, let’s get to work.”

“What I mean by updates is, tell us if something changes. Anything. Keep Ody, Apollo and I updated on if anything in the mission goes wrong or changes.”

Rose nodded at the information, looking at Apollo, “Shall we?”

“Oh, not yet though. We still need to figure out where the fuck he is. In the meantime, there’s beds upstairs, it’ll be a little cramped but there’s enough for everyone.”

Apollo went to the hangar room and signaled Rose to the back seat. “We’re not going yet, but we gota change into the mission suit. They’re in the back of the starfighter compartment. Hold on-” Apollo brought out a neatly folded black mission suit with a yellow wing seal on the right side, above the area of the Ascendii heart. “We have no need for armor, since we’ll not be seen. The suit can vanish with you as you do, and can withstand temperatures up to four hundred degrees, it’s safe to throw fire out of it. Yes, it comes with underwear.” Apollo ran into the changing room and got into his suit instantly. “Yep it’s that easy, go for it!”

“A little eager, Apollo.” Jack said, looking at the suits.

Apollo rolled his eyes. “Remember when I first made these out of thermal underwear?”

Rose followed Apollo, giggling before she changed as well. “Feels almost like a second skin…pretty light as well.”

Andaluza looked at the two dressed in thermal underwear. “Apollo designed them. They must be good.” Andaluza spoke in a sarcastic drawl.

“Okay, settle down Andy.” Jack grumbled to Andaluza, still slightly suspicious.
“I’d like to talk with you privately, anyway.” Jack motioned for him to follow Jack up the stairs, into the empty room full of beds.

Apollo rolled his eyes, but returned to his excited mood. “They’re light because it’s easier to run and fly in them. It’ll be just as if we’re spying on people naked, pretty much like Jack on weekends!”

Rose smiled at Andaluza, “Why the sour face Mr. Wind?”
Rose looked at Apollo with a blush, obviously flustered “That is a very strange thought….”

Faye actually made use of her recording device and got all of the battle plan on it. She smiles a bit and shuts it off, sitting back and waiting. Now she would avenge those dead… Mizdog would be gone, but mayhaps she could convince his armies of her own cause? She looks over at the group, very glad to have Andaluza back on her side again.
