    Rose raised an eyebrow,“Washing machine?”

Apollo shrugged. “It’s a good place to catch a nap.”

Rose shook her head and smiled, “Its alright, I’m not tired.”

Apollo acknowledged Rose’s not tiredness. “Hey, did Andaluza teach you how to generate explosions with your eyeballs?”

Rose looked confused before suddenly lit up, “Oh! I sort of forgot! But no, he did not.”

Apollo decided to go wake him up, but decided it would be better to let him sleep. “Oh, well, it’s really easy to learn.” Apollo looked kind of worried, because the power rush given by the ability would be grounds for destruction of everything.

Rose turned her full attention to him. “Well, how do I learn it?”

Apollo slowly laughed. “Either by asking Andaluza, or watching him do it for over 10 years.”

Rose pouted, “But Mr. Wind said you know how to do it too. Can’t you teach me, or at least tell me?”

Apollo sighed. “Fine. Let’s go to the fencing room.” Apollo led Rose down to the fencing room and released two levitating cannonballs from the compartments. “They won’t hit you, but you have to kind of look inside of them, then concentrate your fire through your eyes. Careful! Don’t concentrate out of your eyes, but inside the cannonball. If you concentrate out of your eyes, you’ll get a really horrible version of heat vision and blindness for about 5 minutes.”

Rose nodded at the instructions and looked at cannonballs closely but stopped when she felt her eyes heating up. “Um, how do I exactly focus inside of them?”

Apollo looked at Rose’s eyes. “Good, they should feel heating up. Once they heat up to a red haze, you should just expel it. Try shooting at the cannon ball first.”

Rose rubbed her eye before trying again, fighting back the urge to stop as she expelled the heat, but it wasn’t really controlled so it sort of missed the cannonball. Rose concentrated again and this time she did hit the cannonball but it didn’t do much damage. Rose sighed a bit frustrated.

Apollo looked at the cannonball intently. “Ok, so you shouldn’t even try to stop. The two causes for this is either that you’re very weak at fire manipulation, which I know you’re not, or that you’re trying to stop. You just have to act like you’re shooting a missile out of your eyes. Here, watch this.” Apollo looked at the cannonball as his eyes turned white, then a red haze. There was a flash of white light and the cannonball lay on the ground, shattered, in pieces. “Your turn…” Apollo said as if he had just walked on a wire at neck-length. ‘That felt horrible, I’m never doing that again.’
