Chapter Six: Split Paths

Katherine answered the comm confused and with a drowsy voice, “I still…..have this? Do you evwen….know where I ahm??……they good……” Katherine’s words came out slurred.

Apollo landed the OGA ship next to Katherine’s base. He then ran up to the big door and rang the doorbell. “Hey, Malice, Katherine. I’m here with Pandora. We split from Jack. I also cloaked the OGA ship so the kids don’t get scared, we’re painting it later.”

Andaluza commed Apollo again. “Hey, I want to talk to Katherine. I want to tell her I’m truly not on the OGA’s side and that I’m a double agent.”

Apollo put the comm to his ear. “Yeah, okay. But don’t say you’re a double agent, it makes me kinda want to punch you in the face.”

Mimi noticed that Katherine was tired and decided to open the door instead for Apollo and Pandora.

Andaluza snickered and returned to his course to Apollo’s location.

All the kids looked at the OGA ship scared, all of the hiding behind Malice and Mimi terrified.
Katherine ignored the bell but once she heard the kids’ screams Katherine broke out of the building with a black shadowy sword in hand, a pale look to her skin as she glared at Apollo.

Jack laid on the floor, throwing peanuts into the air and trying to catch them with his mouth.

Apollo walked in slowly, looking at the kids. “Uh, hi kids! I’m Apollo and this is Pandora. We’re here to…do stuff with them as well.” Apollo then crossed the doorway but hit his head on the ceiling fan. “Ow…who put this thing so low?”

*Pandora ran into the door frame*

Apollo pointed to three kids hanging together. “Are they…ascendii? Because one of them is hovering and the other one is giving the third one static shocks.”

Jack threw the table over in his room, clearing his desk and any unknown debris out and shoving them into the air vac, turning it on and watching it shuttle off into space. He then grabbed supplies, taping a map of the known quadrants of the galaxy across a bare wall. He then unspooled a large amount of red thread, connecting newspaper clippings, bits of photographs and notes, furiously scribbling on the wall. After he finished, he looked up, satisfied. He then turned on Apollo’s comms.
“Ozymandias is currently stationed on…Earth.” He said, looking in bewilderment on the board.

Apollo’s comms were already open so Jack didn’t need to make a stupid override. “Hey, they’re already open. And he’s WHERE?! Hold on!” Apollo turned to Andaluza and pointed to the cloaked OGA ship outside. “We have to get the kids to Chiron as soon as possible, then get to Earth. Ozymandias is there.”

Andaluza simply opened the comms again and yelled through them. “TELL US MORE WE STILL NEED TO GET THE KI-” Andaluza looked at the kids, who were staring at him in bewilderment. “Oh…where are your parents?”

“heh?”, Pandora said confused again.
