Chapter Two: Outlaws

Kika continues to talk to the individuals, blending her conversation with the one she was having with Jack, “Ahaha! Yes, I know it can be a bit frustrating, doctor, but you seem to have the right attitude towards things to get very far.”

“I guess. It’s not really my mentality that keeps me this far along, more with the fact that I can’t die even if I tried.” Jack looked through the vent, seeing the second floor.
“Oh shit! A lot of military, Kika. Is…is that…” <i>Jack’s eyes widened.</i>
“Kika, we don’t have much time. Get the fuck out of there, now!”

Kika laughs along with the other guests, looking at the camera she brought with her, “Oh shoot! I left my spare power cell in my vehicle. Be back in a moment, ladies.” She does a quick curtsey and heads out the front way, “Talk to me. What’s the issue?”

“OGA’s here, and they’ve got a lot of soldiers and a lot of firepower…Midzog’s here, too.”

(I’ll be playing in a sort of third person story mode for now with this.)
<i>A loud screeching noise suddenly blares out momentarily on all the speakers in the hall, including Jack and Kika’s ear pieces, and cuts off the music. Then, a voice comes over the speakers, as Midzog waltzes onto the stage, accompanied by several soldiers who surround the party-goers. </i>”Well, I hope that you all have been enjoying yourselves this evening,” <i>Midzog says into the microphone. </i>”All of you are here for a very important reason: money. Well, resources. Bravo! Your companies are booming! But unfortunately, we need those resources. Your money.” Midzog hops down from the stage. “Your technology and weapons.” Midzog pulls out a gun. “And those superior brains of yours.” Midzog shoots a nearby person directly point blank in the head. “Or else we’ll be painting the walls with them. Now don’t try to run away. My men are ordered to kill at the slightest disturbance, and we don’t want to scare the children. It’s your choice though. Join us and give us control of your corporations. Or die. Line up.” Midzog pulls out an electronic tablet and places it on a table.

Kika walks out the front way with a few others that were going to a different party, blending with them as she left, “A headquarters? On this planet you say? Well, that’s a splendid idea! It might be a bit costly though, don’t you think, Mr. King?”

Without warning, the doors to the ballroom closed, locking people outside and in.
“Fuck!” Jack yelled, then covered his mouth. The soldiers heard the disturbance, and began firing at the vent. Jack scrambled backwards as bullets tore through the thin metal, falling down the ventilation hole and into the bathroom stall, shattering the toilet on impact.
“Ow…”

A scared young man steps forward, the first in line. Midzog says to him, “Dont be afraid, my boy. Come closer.” Midzog puts the gun to the back of the man’s head. “You just need to type in your bank and stock codes. They will then be transferred to us. Just a few numbers and letters. Do it. Now.” The man hesitates, about to say ‘No’, when Midzog shoots him in the back of the head. He yells. “Next in line! I’m very impatient, so don’t keep me waiting. Don’t resist! This man was an example, and don’t give me the pleasure of making one of you another one.” The line creeps forward, as people type in their personal information.

Kika follows a big group of people headed to a wall, then she disappears from view as she activates her other power. A few people gasp and a few soldiers look around for what just happened, their weapons at the ready as a few fired at where she was.
She walks over to the bar in her invisible form and hears the sound of Jack getting into some trouble. “Do you need help?” She whispers as silently as she can.

Jack hears a gunshot, trying to stand up from the shattered toilet, water spraying everywhere. He realized Midzog was killing people. His clenched his hands in rage, opening the door quietly. In front of him were two soldiers, with their back to him and keeping control of the crowd. He grabbed their heads, knocking them into each other. He crept into the crowd, keeping his head low.
“Where are you?” He whispered.

Midzog whispers to a small group of soldiers. “Take the children. They will serve excellently for my experiments. If any parent tries to save them, shoot the child. And bring in the ships. We will need to bring these people to the mining colony on Pandarus-1.” The lead soldier nods, and brings a small batallion to carry out the orders.

Jack heard Midzog’s words. He could no longer hide.
“MIDZOG!” He shouted, staring at the cruel man.

Midzog wheels around. “Jack! My failed experiment! The prodigal son!” Midzog grabs a random woman from the crowd, and uses her as a shield, putting a gun to her head.

Kika looks at two guards go down as her head begins to ache lightly, “By the bar, you won’t see me, but…what do you need me to do now? Battle tactics is your for–” She stops and looks at Jack, “Okay then.” She sees the soldiers start to open fire and the crowd starts to scatter.
Kika then attempts to open up a window in the back as Jack keeps the crowd distracted.

“No-no no no! Don’t you fucking dare!” Jack shouted, holding his hands up.
“I give up! Just don’t!”
