Odysseus coughs, his hands still shaking. “Gosh, I’m tired. This ordeal has taxed me completely.”

Odysseus pulls out his flask and takes a sip of his tea, waiting for a response. “This is awkward.”

Rose entered her room and spread out her cards, putting them in a specific order, even though she abandoned all sorcery except her cards, this time she was gonna break her vow. Her eyes darkened a bit more as different words flew from her mouth, a demon coming from the circle. “Ah, Master, I haven’t seen you in a while,” Rose glared at the smirking being, “You know what I wish for, take my energy as much as you need, keep the kids alive.” The demon bowed as it faded from view.

Jack continued to stare at the wall, frozen.

Kika backs out of the room as she looks at Jack, her eyes filling with fear as she begins to wonder if this is the kind of rage Jack spoke of day one…

Malice heard Rose talk to the demon, “Oh my oh my oh my you have a demon too huh~~?”

Rose turned to Malice, her eyes dark and cold, before she blinked and it disappeared. Rose gave a small friendly smile to Malice, “I guess you can say that…but unlike you, with you’re soul binding ones, mine are….temporary. It’s a simple benefiting trade from both parties.” Rose looked at Parapara and Mimi as she said that.

“Kika, come in, and lock the door.”

Kika swallows and goes into the room, locking the door, “I know what this is about…”

“Temporary pacts huh…interesting but not so strong..”

“No, they’re not, but I’m perfectly fine with that, permanent contracts would not work well with my unstable mind.”

Malice laughs, “Unstable minds are fine, truly truly truly fine in contracts”

“Oh, you do?” Odysseus’s eyes glow permanently red, and his voice becomes deeper. “Please enlighten me. And don’t worry, I’m not here to kill you.”

SAID NOTHING

Kika takes a deep breath and looks at him, seeing his red eyes and keeping a straight face, “Your job here is like mine. You control the AI that contacted me. CAL, was it? That same AI that contacted me at the mission site.” Kika stares at Ody, trying to keep her voice low in case these were not sound proof walls, “You’re either here to fire me or give me the new orders.”
