“I’ve come to realize that the Keepers are more of a hindrance than a help to our cause, so I’ve left them. They lack purpose and conviction, and as a result I’ve lost my ace in a hole. As for why you, my purpose is threefold, two of the reasons being quite selfish. The first reason is that I failed to convince Rose and her team to join me, and I think that you might be able to convince them instead of me. I need them as assets; they’re almost as promising as the original Keepers, if not more so. Second of all, my illness has worsened. Recently, I’ve lost more and more time. A week most recently. I’ve woken up in strange situations, with no recollection of what was happening. And recently, I woke up with blood. I need someone to look after me, a caretaker, if you will. And someone to carry on my work should I prove… A threat due to my illness. As for why you specifically, I think that I can trust you. As I said, romantics like you are rare in the present world that we live in, but I think that we need more people like you. Basically, Geralt, I need you.”

Geralt gives Odysseus a hard look. So you need me to take care of you and you want me to be around to continue your work should you cease to be around. And you also want to use me to convince Rose and her group to join you. Geralt leans against the wall behind him. Is this illness the reason you were always so odd around the group? You would always leave us. It made it hard to trust you. So this is shat he has been hiding all along. He’s a sick man. He is trying to keep alive some work he has been doing for a long time now. It has now become his life-long work. It’s impressive, but it also brings up questions about who he really is and what he has done and what he has been working on all this time. But hey, I’m finally getting answers to questions I and.. Rose, have ad on our minds. And he could even lead me to her. This may just be worth it.

Jack drummed the dash.
“So, are Rose and Geralt dating?” <i>Jack asked nonchalantly, flying the ship.</i>

((Chat turned on?)) “Yes, that was partially the reason for my strange behavior. And people might have died, because of my… Illness. Nothing certain, but disappearances in the same sector I was in, or witnesses. In essence, I don’t trust myself entirely. I keep losing time. So…”

Kika looks over at him, giving him a shrug, “Na. I don’t think Rose likes him that much. I mean…he’s got the whole puppy dog crush going on, literally, but it seems like Rose isn’t interested. Katherine seemed like she was taking interest in Apollo though…so…would that be a love triangle? Or two different relationships?”

“It’d be weird.” <i>Jack replied.</i>

Parapara hissed at Mimi in anger, Malice shakes her head and lies down on the bed, “So soft~~”

Kika smiles and shrugs, “Point.”
Kika takes her datapad and makes some last minute adjustments to the power distribution. “By the way, how much farther till destination?”

“I think we’ll be on the surface of Mars in five minutes. So, uh, are you armed?”<i> </i>Jack asked.

Katherine smiled at her, “I know, it feels great right?” She sits up, “Be on your guard though, there may still be spies or a surprise attack could happen at any moment.”

“I’m always on guard! Hehehehehehe~especially with Parapara and Mimi around” Malice says smiling.

Kika smiles and secures her bag to her back, tying up her sniper rifle so it can be easily taken. She gets her pistol and puts it in a strap on the side of her clothes, making it nice and secure. “Ready to go. I assume your ready?”

“I don’t really use guns. Fists are more satisfactory.” They landed the ship on the surface far away from the colony, barely visible in the sandstorm of red coating the outside layer of the craft.

“Take this for the air.” Jack gave her a clunky fire protection-like suit, bulky and weighed down with metal tubes to protect Kika from the outside conditions.
