Apollo grabbed an osmium apple from the center of the table and put it on his chair, expecting a spring or a knife to come out or something. “Huh, oh.”

Apollo slowly took his seat and began nibbling on the silverware.

A butler came, filling both glasses with champagne from a bottle, and putting a silver tray on the table, the contents steamed pink fish. The waiter divided the beautiful cuisine in half, supplying both plates with an equal piece. Midzog dismissed him, putting the napkin in his lap and cutting the fish, eating.

“Well go on, it’s not poison.” He said.

Apollo was amazed at Midzog’s table etiquette. “Uh…ok…”

Apollo took a single bite very slowly in minuscule portions..

“You’re good friends with Jack. My condolences to what happened. I thought he’d be happy with me removing his immortality, since he never seemed to really favor it.” Midzog took a sip of the champagne, closing his eyes for a moment.

“Delicious. That’s one thing of having power like this. You get to taste the best foods, you get to live in the finest establishments, it is quite exquisite.” Midzog opened his eyes, carefully cutting the salmon.

“It is quite unfortunate that anything anyone remembers of someone is the bad things they’ve done. Take Adolf Hitler, if you remember him, since you are quite young. He was a fascist, a dictator, yes, but did you know he was an artist? Take another example, Julius Caesar. Such a foul temper he got the term “Caesar Complex” named after himself. But no one remembers him as a poet, a writer in Latin prose. It’s unfortunate indeed that people are usually remembered by the bad things they’ve done. I consider myself an artist, as well. The things I have created are beyond man. I was born a penniless human, and I have lived eight-hundred years. I have created the Super Man. Jack was a prototype, but he was flawed. I did not perceive what would happen to the mentality of someone who could never die, which was my first mistake. So, like Adam, the first of my creation, was borne with error. Et tu to him, for he was only a man. So I had to expel him from the Eden I have created. I do not regret creating him, however it is unfortunate I discovered him before you. I only wish I could have created the image of man in a creature from out of my world. But I digress. Even the greatest artists had flaws. And with my work, I enjoy pain. I enjoy human emotion, I enjoy watching people’s flaws pour through the cracks like blood through an exposed vein. It shows true humanity, true mortality, to see someone in deep anguish. In conclusion, this was an excellent meal.” Midzog stood up, putting his napkin on the table.

“I see you have finished your meal.” Midzog said. “I think it is interesting to be forced into situations that people do not know how to possibly handle. Call it a God complex, but that is how I view myself. Congratulations, Apollo. You have just consumed Ascendii flesh.” Midzog left the room, whistling.

Faye frowns and nods her head, hearing the news, “Please keep her safe…She’s been through too much to die…” Faye takes Geralt’s hand and smiles, “If it means anything…I never wanted to kill you…” She takes her bag and walks over to Odysseus’s area, standing before him and taking a seat in the ship, “Okay…let’s go then.” Faye looks up at Ody with a small smile, wondering who would kill her…Ody or Ozy?

Apollo, angered by this, yet wondering about the familiar taste when he bit into Andaluza’s hand, immediately took off from his chair, set his hands on fire, and aimed for Midzog directly, warping 10.

In an instant, there was a flash and Apollo was knocked to the floor, Midzog’s hand out. He chuckled to himself.

“You fought more than Jack did. All he did was beg me to kill him when I was entering his mind. ‘Oh, please.’ ‘Don’t make me kill them.’ Almost cute. Keep proving your superiority, one day I might just have to recruit you. Enjoy yourself, Apollo.” Midzog continued walking.

Apollo got up again and charged at Midzog, turning over to the side and this time shielding himself with a chair.

Midzog punched through the chair, hitting Apollo directly in the stomach and sending him into the table, splintering it.

“Now look what you did. I’m serious, Apollo. Go grieve the loss of your dear friend.”

Andaluza leaped into the area, standing in front of Midzog and blowing up the chair. “I’m here, dad. Give me something to do.”

Midzog stared sullenly at Andaluza, folding his hands together.

“Go play with your friends, boy. Daddy’s working.”

Apollo got up and smashed the table in two, burning both parts and sending them towards Midzog at terrible speeds.

Midzog quickly knocked both aside, brushing them off.

“You won’t win, child. I don’t understand why you continue.”

Apollo looked again at Midzog. “I try because I don’t like losing.”

Apollo ripped open a floor panel and flew towards Midzog again.
