Chapter Two: Outlaws

Apollo crashed next to Jack. “I drank about a gallon of hydrogen zipping around like that. Shit gets weird at that speeds. Do I count?”

Kika takes her bottle and pours the shot, a little bit of it spilling from a certain person crashing nearby. She stops pouring and sets the bottle down, scooting over for the new contestant, “Hey, why don’t you take my spot then?”

Odysseus pulls up a holographic monitor, and attaches one of his exo-suit antennas to it, immediately updating the software. The monitor flickers, and begins projecting. Odysseus forgets what he was doing, and his hands begin to shake, his eyes flashing red for a moment as his veins become pronounced on his neck. He brushed off the dirt from his suit, glancing at the old paint job. It was a 2000 year old relic, by all estimates.

Apollo, standing on his head and looking at Kika, simply said “No. It tastes bad, but the alcohol tastes good.” Apollo took a glass, held it upside down, burned out the “booze” and drank what left on the bottom. “Yay! Alcohol! Oh..wrong alcohol..I like the ones inside of the thermometers.”

“He’s a little stupid.” <i>Jack drank a fourth of the entire bottle of whiskey they were using to pour shots in.</i>
“Done. Your turn.”

Apollo grabbed the bottle and drank the entire bottle. “Uh…is it cheating if you can’t get drunk? Whatever, one upsmanship!!” Apollo begins eating the bottle.

Kika smirks and looks to Apollo, “Hey, you willing to take my place here? You have already started it.” She backs up and lets him take her seat in front of Jack.

Apollo looks at Kika. “But I can’t get drunk. I just drink because a little is good for Ascendii.”

Kika smiles and looks at the two, “The contest of ages! The Ascendii that can’t get drunk, versus the man with a interior and exterior of something better than steel!”

Apollo finishes eating the bottle. “Well, I’m full. Of glass. Won’t be eating for the next 5 days.”

“I prefer iron.” <i>Jack winked at Apollo, drinking an entire bottle, chugging it.</i>
“WHOOO!” He shouted, shaking out his arms and stretching.
“Let’s get this party started.”

Apollo ripped out a leg of the table and ate it. “Don’t make me do this..”

Odysseus hears a ruckus in the kitchen from his room as he lays on the bed staring at the ceiling. He gets up and comes out in his bathrobe, holding a mug of tea, and sees Apollo hanging from the ceiling singing while Jack tries to crack bad jokes with Kika. “What in Sir Isaac Newton’s name is this?! You two can’t even get drunk!”

Kika smiles at the two, wincing as Jack yelled so loudly. “Party? Well…uh…” She looks at Apollo and nods, “Yeah…I still may never be sure how your kind swallows everything so easily…” She glances over at Odysseus and smirks, “No, but it’s fun to watch them try.”

Apollo stopped trying. “Well now I’m not eating for 10 days!”
