Earth (Second timeline)

Casi just grabbed a cup and a tea bag of Earl Grey, and stuck it in the cup. She watched the two warily, sitting down lightly on the one person couch,tense. The girl didn’t feel comfortable with her parents, not like she felt with Armane, then again she was light toed with him too, she’ll warm up eventually.

-Jake was the first one to speak, “So, no other contacts yet other than your pale lover, right?” Dirk looked over at Jake weird out of the side of his glasses and Jake caught the look. Jake quickly said, “I mean there has to be others around here. Maybe a nice male or female? Perhaps even an animal or two or five.” Dirk turned his attention back to his coffee, Jake continuing to ramble.-

Casi shook her head no,”I don’t really have any human friends, and animals would be to dangerous as I keep a lot of guns in the house.” She shrugged,”I’m not very likeable I guess, just me and the house is all I can say.”

-Jake thought all of two seconds and blurted out, “What about a hunting dog? Or a god animal of somekind. They aren’t always good and whatnot but they make good pets from what I was told.” Dirk finally sipped the coffee and seemed to be trying to ignore the conversation.-

Casi frowned slightly,”I’m use to being all by my self, I don’t really want to be responsible for killing my pet by accident..I did have a cat once, but he didn’t enjoy my company, so I let him go into the back yard. Never seen him since.” She wondered why Jake was asking her all these questions, a dog though? She was thinking about getting a small bird once, but she didn’t want to kill that one either..

-Jake smiled and said, “Well, I am sure instead of all these questions you’d rather hear what we were up to this entire time right? Well, he and I have been traveling with the others to try and rid the universes of red cherubs!” Dirk turned and said, “Jake, we aren’t supposed to talk about that, remember?” Jake covered his mouth then said, “Did I say that? I meant we pick flowers from different galaxies and explore and do cool things?” Dirk rubbed his own forehead and went back to his coffee.-

Casi blinked,”..Brilliant.” Her voice was blank and she shifter sipping her tea,”I just mostly was here, doing studies or at the shooting range.” She didn’t really care what they where doing, though killing red cherubs? That is such a great reason for letting her be by her self for a long time, really great.

-Dirk sighed and said, “Casi, we’re sorry we left you alone, but we had to. Do you know what red Cherubs are? They kill for fun, Casi. They like destroying things and watching others suffer.” Jake looked at Dirk and said, “Don’t tell her that, the bloke she was with seemed nice.” Dirk looked at him and said, “Seeming is different than what they really are.” He went back to silently sipping his coffee.-

Casi adjusted her shades,”Maybe so, or maybe not.” She shrugged, and sipper her tea once more. “He showed me only kindness. Then I guess I have to not assume when kindness is given then.” The girl shrugged nonchalantly,”Oh well.”

-Dirk looked at her and said, “I have been trying to figure him out with Helmoj’s help, but he seems to be a step ahead of everything.” Jake went to place his hand on Dirk’s only for the hand to move away. Jake shook his head and said, “I am sure he might have been legitimately kind. Sometimes, the line between the good and bad were so tootin close, you couldn’t tell the difference. They are just that alignment by chance.” Dirk didn’t seem to want to hear Jake defend the cherubs so he got up and walked away. “I think he’s just cranky from lack of sleep,” Jake made an excuse.-

Casi sighed slightly,”That or he might just like me, which can be a possibility, I’m not to likeable.” She shrugged and finished her tea, she then stood up,picking up the tray. “I’m going back to the kitchen, I think you guys know where the guest rooms are, so you can reside there.” The girl walked out of the living room and placed the tray on the counter, starting to put things away.

-Jake stood up to follow her. He looked right at her and said, “A cherub doesn’t really tend to have true feelings, just fake ones. Even if he liked you, it might be because of instinct. Cherubs mate with other Cherubs that remind them of their sister half. Don’t tell Dirk I said anything. Okay?” He offered her a smile.-

Casi shrugged,”Okay then.” She tugged off her hoodie and set it on one of the chairs neatly, before going back to putting things away. Small scars on her arms where barely viable to the islander,”He just liked me because I’m fabulous though, he couldn’t handle the Englishness.” The girl flashes Jake a small grin.

-Jake smiled and said, “Just to be sure, what do you know about him. I wouldn’t feel right killing him if he is innocent.” He still had his tea with him and took a sip. “Oh and sorry about him still… I don’t know what has really been wrong but I am sure sleep is part of the problem.”-

Casi shrugged,”He’s nice enough, he let me fight with the trolls against Prospit. Though that was so I can protect Armane, also why I was in the castle in the first place. He did say it was frustrating when he when to sleep and woke up having to fix destroyed stuff. He also was raised by the trolls, which is a bonus for me.” The girl shrugged and reached on her tip toes to reach the top shelf to put back the coffee.
