-Rose nodded and went to go find the shower. Gamzee took off to go find Karkat. Sollux heard Casi and then turned his head back to what he was doing until all heads turned. Jake and John took the front as defensive. Armane had appeared on the ground. Sollux ripped off his eye bandages despite them still bleeding a little and he saw him on the ground and his first reaction was to run over in front of everyone and hover over him protectively. “Keep Casi back!” He yelled at them. They all froze.-
-
Casi had their back to them and saw nothing of the shit that was going on,”Eh?” She turned around at the yell, holding the mop in a defensive position. She spotted Armane and took a few step forward, slightly confused,”Armane?” The girl used her mop to whack the people trying to stop her, and slipped through their defence like a breeze, or like John, how ever you want to put it. Casi soon enough was kneeling by Armane and poked his cheek,”Yo man, you alright?”
-
-Armane was bleeding out from several cuts and had blood coming out of his mouth. He was coughing out blood and Sollux held him up a little bit. “They’re… gonna kill… Fenrie…” He wheezed out. Sollux looked appalled but attempted to keep a straight face. Armane then rolled his head over to Casi weakly and offered a really weak smile, “I… wanted to… see you… just…” He hacked up more blood, “one… more…” He stopped breathing and just went limp after the body tensed a bit. Sollux was in a bit of shock from it. The others really didn’t know what to do.-
-
Casi lowered her head,”Aww..Shit.” She reached over and closed his eyes with a small sigh,”Armane warned me of his doomed selves, but I never knew that I’ll see one so soon.” Her voice was soft and low once more. The girl stood up and hurried out the room, scrambling back into the attic, closing the door thing behind her. She then once more when over to her hidden spot in it and curled up on the mattress, extremely distressed on what she just saw.
-
-Sollux watched her run off but he couldn’t stop staring at the corpse and just held onto it. Jake shook his head and went to go follow her, he knocked on the entrance to the attic and said, “Casi, may I come in?”-
-
Casi didn’t answer to Jake for a moment and pushed her lap top away, under her pillow. “You may.” Her voice was barely heard through the door and she didn’t moved from her curled up position, trying to gain a rein on her emotions.
-
-Jake came up into the Attic and made sure he closed the door behind him as he went over to her and offered his body as a place to let it out. “I know that must be really hard… but he should be still alive in our current time. Also, if that was a doomed one, means there is one out there that didn’t die, or perhaps a lot of him that don’t,” He tried to speak as intelligently as possible, though it didn’t make sense for a lot of hims to survive.-
-
Casi scooter over to Jake and curled in his lap shaking, crying silently. The girl gave Jake a slightly damp spot on his knee as she cried. Her tears where silent but her small form seemed to be.shaking violently like she was in pain.
-
-Jake gently ran his fingers up and down her spine in an attempt to help her feel a little better. He knew it would be best to just be silent and let her get it out. He had an urge to talk but suppressed it, just to make sure she was alright. He may not have been in her life for long, but he had parental urges and he simply had to be sure she was alright. She was his little girl.-
-
Casi stopped after a while,”S-Sorry for this.” Her voice cracked and she shuttered under his touch and slid off his lap. The girl remover her shades and scrubbed at her eyes, her cheeks slightly flush. Casi stared down at her lap, which is were her hands lay, containing her shades. Her breath was uneven and is was clear she was still extremely distressed at the ordeal.
-
-Jake looked at her with no judgement in his eyes as he spoke softly, “It’s okay, what happened was terrible. Think of it this way… He loved you enough to want to see you again. Even if it was horrible timing.” He knew it wasn’t the best way to put it and really wished Dirk would’ve said something better but he was still in his own issue. He offered her a warm smile as he continued, “Just know, as one of your fathers, my shoulder is always open when you need it.”-
-
Casi gave him a weak smile, her red and orange eyes glinting in the dimish light. “Thank you..” Her voice was soft and she looked back down, her breathing slowly tuning back to normal. “I’m sorry if I’m not the best daughter, I’m not a relatively good person.” The girl looked up again but didn’t meet Jake’s eyes, and fittled with her shades.
-
-Jake tilted his head a bit to the left side but kept his sincere and warm smile. “You are a great person,” Jake told her right out, “We wouldn’t be so proud of you if you weren’t.” He heard a knock on the attic door and looked to Casi, leaving it up to her if they came up or not.-
-
Casi took a shuttering breath and shoved her shades back on,”Come in.” Her voice shook slightly but it was much stronger then it was before. She looked back at her lap and wiped her eyes once more, not really wanting to come off to be rude, but she didn’t have to will be greet the newcomer.
-
-Jake looked at the door as it opened, Kanaya showing herself. She spoke calmly, “Jake, he won’t let go of the body for anyone.” Jake looked down and said, “Let him get it out, otherwise you’ll never be able to give him a proper rest.” Kanaya nodded and went back out, closing the door. Jake turned back to Casi and smiled again, “Sounds like someone is having just as hard of a time as you are.”-
