Earth (Second timeline)

-Dirk smiled to her and said, “I would love to spend the rest of my life making up for leaving you all alone, just so we don’t have to be anymore. Just know… I will have to head out from time to time to kill Cherubs. I am the second in command in the human groupings…” He gently kissed her forehead in a fatherly fashion. He wanted to make her feel wanted.-

Casi looked up and smiled softy at him,”I understand.” She leaned forward and hugged his, her hold strong and warm. “Thank you.” The girl mumbled into his ear, her head burrowing in his shoulder once more.

-Dirk smiled and felt accomplished. He held her close and couldn’t stop smiling. He’d completely forgot he didn’t have his shades still. He just wanted to hold his precious daughter and keep her safe forever.-

Casi shifted and pulled away after a few moments, and slid out of his lap, sitting in front of him, her shades forgotten over to the side. “That might be a bit difficult during my game,” she shrugged,”We’ll make it work I guess.” The girl looked down at her lap,”I’m sorry to go back to such a disheartening subject, but really, how would we preserve Jake’s body?”

-Dirk took a deep breath and said, “Sollux should be able to. I could ask him to do something rash but I don’t know if it would work. So, just ask him to preserve it. If he can’t, probably Jane.” He couldn’t lock his mind onto which would be better. “If anything… a freezer if they can’t.” He was still computing the options.-

Casi nodded,”I guess so then..” She said softly, and sat for a moment not sure what to do. Her breath was still had slight shutter and the girl wiped her watery eyes.

-Dirk moved to gently place a hand on her shoulder and said, “Why don’t you check on the others that went on that mission? I will go figure out what to do with the body. Then meet me back here.” He got up and went to go deal with Jake’s body, maybe take the wraps off it because they weren’t really needed now. He also wanted to examine the wound.-

Casi stood up and rubbed her eyes once more, then picking up her shades, shoving them on her face. She walked to Gamzee’s room and knocked on the door softly,”Hey, is every thing alright in there?” The girl said that loud enough so it would be heard on the other side of the door.

-Gamzee heard the knock and said, “Come right on in. I can’t exactly move too motherfuckin well.” He tried to sit up but it hurt his eventually to be scars a little, causing him to grunt. “Only need one thing to be alright, that’d be a motherfuckin miracle.” He smiled honestly.-

Casi walked into the room and winched slightly at his face, she jogged to the bathroom and grabbed a towel and jogged back to Gamzee. The girl gently pressed it to his face, wiping the blood away, then pressed it to his chest, so his wound doesn’t bleed every where. “Let me go get more towels, be right back.” She left again to get a smaller towel for his face and returned, gently pressing it to the cut on his face.

-Gamzee gritted a bit at the being cleaned up. He was patient though, keeping his rage from the pain down and away. He looked at her and said, “We are all a motherfuckin mess. Have you noticed something, Casi?” He pointed to himself forcing a smile. “The second I lose this, the moment I am not a clown, that will be my death.” He chuckled a bit and said, “It’s mortherfuckin fun to laugh at death, so why ever stop?”-

Casi patted his forehead lightly,”Because there are others who can succumb to it, and from what I can see. They’re worth protecting.” She moved away and kept the towels on him, her voice quiet and low. “I’ve had first hand experience, it wasn’t very pleasant if I can say.”

-Gamzee looked at her and said, “I didn’t smile in the fight… I tried to save him… I should have died instead… Or with even… but… Do you know how deep?” His mind was foggy, hiding a cough from what little of the gas he inhaled. Despite hiding the cough, a small trickle of purple blood flowed from the corner of his mouth. He again forced himself to smile but it was feeling too bad, leaving him straight faced as he placed his hand onto his wound, sticking his finger into one of the marks just to judge its depth.-

Casi removed his finger,”Don’t do that, you’ll make it worse.” She peered at his wounds,”They don’t seem extremely deep, but not too shallow either.” The girl stood up,”I’m going to go get Jane, I think that was her name..” Casi left the room and found Jane quickly enough and tapped her shoulder,”Uh,may you help me, Gamzee seems to be still injured, and not healing quiet all right.”

-Gamzee looked at his finger and saw purple up to his first knuckle. He decided when she went to go seek healing to put his finger back in the whole way to the bottom of the wound, grunting at the pain then pulled it back up. He looked at his blood nearly reaching the knuckle on his hand. He wiped it off on one of the towels to make it look like he didn’t place it back in again, so he left the blood from the first knuckle to the tip of his finger. Jane looked at her and said, “He should be healing fine, he is a clown. But if you insist I will do a little more. Which is his room?”-
