Earth (Second timeline)

Casi nodded and lead Jane to Gamzee’s room and opened the door, holding it open for her to step inside. “This is his room, thank you for helping him.”

-Jane stepped in and used her healing for all of a couple of seconds before leaving again. Gamzee chuckled a bit at that and smiled while she was there. The second Jane left, the smile faded and he tried to scoot himself back down, still in pain. He moved to place his finger in the wound again, wanting to see if it patched up any.-

Casi nodded at Jane as she left and walked over back to Gamzee, removing his hand,”Don’t do that, you’ll hurt your self even more.” She nodded at him,”It seems your okay now, I’m going to check on the others, and try not to poke at your wounds if you want to heal faster.” Casi slipped out the room and almost ran into Karkat, she scooted around him,”Sorry..”

-Gamzee nodded but checked it again anyways. The depth appeared to be the same but he didn’t feel the internal pain anymore. Karkat looked at her and smiled a little, “for what?” He curled up into a tight little ball, bristles tickling his shoulder.-

Casi blinked,”What are you doing on the floor?” She crouched down by him and tilted her head,”Are you okay?” She gently poked his cheek, “Are you here for Gamzee? He’s in his room, I got Jade to heal him a bit.”

-Karkat shook his head and said, “No, I just… I felt horrible things when we were there… I know what happened and between everything… I can’t make any sense of it…” He tried to tuck his head into his little ball then, his nubby horns poking his arms.-

Casi’s face softened,”From what I could understand, Carolus attacked you while your tried to find out, that isn’t your fault at all. Not one bit, you hear me?” Her voice was soft but stern. “If you felt horrible things, then you can’t do anything about it I think, I don’t think you can go back to try to fix those feelings.” The girl reached over and ruffled his hair gently,”Maybe you should try to talk it over with someone, then you might make sense of it.”

-Karkat came out of his curled up heap as she spoke and seemed to want to talk. “He offered him power… Didn’t say how… didn’t say about the blood. He just strapped him down and did it…” He was choking up, “Then he found me and did the same… He put Fuchsia in me… But… Dave… Jake… Gamzee… They overexerted themselves just to change it back… I would have given up my blood if I could have… just so they wouldn’t have gotten so hurt… The pain though… The different blood.. to come so close to death and be brought back by different blood… it… really burned… it still does… I think there might still be a few drops in my system… I don’t see how he can live with himself… or why he doesn’t get it changed back…”-

Casi was silent for a moment,”He lives with himself because he knows that he can’t change his blood back, the moment he did he became a more useful weapon for Carolus, thus to valuable to change back. But he lived with it because he knows if he doesn’t, he’ll hurt his friends, ad he doesn’t want that.” She crouched back for a moment in silence,”I’m not sure what else to say, I’m sorry if I wasn’t much help.”

-Karkat looked right into her eyes and said, “When the blood touched in my veins… All I wanted to do was rip apart every living thing that moved… It was horrible… When I saw Dave’s face… I wanted to kill him… Just because he was there… When I saw Gamzee… When I saw Sollux… When… When I saw Jake…. I wanted to rip them apart… and the more they got hurt in the fight… the more I wanted up to tear apart all of them… Carolus included… I wanted everything to die…” He had tears coming out and he shivered a bit, “I don’t want to ever feel that again… but I’d of chosen that over Jake dying…” He dug his nails into the palms of his hands, the red going down over them.-

Casi gave a low sigh and leaned forward giving Karkat a warm hug,”I appreciate it that you would choose the violent urges over Jake, but what’s done is done and we can’t change it. Just accept.” She said softly and rubbed his back.

-Karkat held onto her and shook his head. “I could ask Dave to change it… I know he’d refuse… but I could… maybe borrow his…. sword again…” He placed his head on her. “Enough of me… How’s my team?” He wanted to get off the subject and wondered more about his team’s safety.-

Casi blinked as she was giving a face full of chest,”Uh, Gamzee is still healing, Dirk is better, I haven’t checked on the others yet, but most of them look okay. I was going to check up on Sollux next, he seemed in bad shape when I last saw him.” Her voice was slightly muffled, and she kept rubbing soft circles on his back.

-Karkat nodded and pat her gently, “best you do check on him… The last time I saw him.. He was coughing up droves of blood…” He got himself up and looked at the pin pricks on his arms and squeezed the one, a droplet of red with a tiny hint of fuchsia beading out. He looked away from it in disbelief.-

Casi stood up, not noticing his blood change and ruffled his hair again before going off to find Sollux. She found his room and knocked,”Sollux? Are you in there, and are you okay?”
