-Armane tried to wipe his tears away quick and whispered, “Oh, you’re awake… How’d you sleep?” He really tried to cover it despite her seeing it. He was even biting his lip a bit, yellow blood trickling down his face. He was having a hard time of it but his grip gave him all too plainly away.-
-
“I slept well enough, thank you.” Casi said quietly and hugged him closer, making small shooshing sounds. “It’s okay,” The girl said repeatedly in a hushed tone. She tucked his head under her chin with some difficulty, tangling her free hand his his hair. The girl rubbed circles in his hair and hymns softly, doing her best to comfort him.
-
-Armane curled his head into her and let his tears come out openly. He sniffled and just was a wreck. It hurt him enough emotionally that he could just barely move the way he wanted to, making it seem like he was shivering. He stayed silent though and was like that for hours.-
-
Casi kissed the top of his heads and hugged him warmly. The girl untangled her hand from his hair and cupped his cheek, useing her thumb to brush his tears away. She rested her forehead in hos hair, sighing quietly.
-
-Armane began to calm down and finally said, “I wish… I could’ve understood him… You know…” He curled up closer and looked up at her a little bit.-
-
Casi looked down, her eyes where killing her, but she didn’t care at the.moment. “I understand, I felt Tue same way when Jake died.” The girl said softly and hugged him closer. Casi pulled him into her lap to the best of her ability.
-
-Armane hugged onto her and whispered, “this… but… Is it my fault?” He was questioning everything in his head and somehow trying to get it to trace back to him. The sounds of the others in the house were solemn and sad. It seemed everyone had stopped out and about in the house to mourn.-
-
Casi hugged him tighter,”No. Never was this your fault. Do not put your self down, you said that to me your self.” Her voice was stern and she leaned down, putting her forehead on his, looking right into his eyes. “Not your fault, okay?”
-
-Armane looked right into her eyes, unfaltering as he blinked a few tears. He looked down and said, “Yeah.. Okay… It’s not my fault… but… still… why…” He was hurt, still trying to link a way to make it his fault in his mind. Mostly linking it to having helped Carolus having come up with the terrible gas that caused this.-
-
“To save his friends.” Casi said simply and looked at him right in the eyes. “So they can survive, do you understand?” Her voice was soft and she ran a hand through his hair.
-
-Armane nodded and whispered, “I would… do the same… to be honest…” He smiled at her then straightened himself out a bit before continuing, “I need to go before they know I was gone or they’ll come looking for me..” He gave her a light kiss on her nose.-
-
Casi smiled softly and pecked his forehead, leaned back. “Stay safe, Armane.” Her voice soft, and gave him a quick hug. Then she reached for her shades and slipped them on.
-
-He accepted the hug then closed his eyes to fade away into the dream bubbles. The house was silent despite the others being mostly out and about.-
-
Casi stood up and retrieved her hoodie, slipping it on. The girl slipped out of the room, silently and padded out of the room and to the kitchen.
-
-Almost everyone was in the living room, except Karkat, Gamzee, Terezi, Feferi, and the body of Sollux. The rest just seemed to be in silent mourning, trying to think of what is possible to fix things without knocking everything out of whack. Kayana noticed Casi but said nothing.-
