Muri gave a startled yelp as the beast bellowed and roared at her, clearly diverted by her thrown flash-light. It had a disgusting looking maw and nasty, vicious looking eyes. She turned her back and dashed back to the stairwell, hearing loud claw clicks growing louder and louder behind her as the creature began to accelerate, moving more quickly than she would have expected for a creature of that size and she had to sprint all-out in order to remain ahead of it. The girl reached the door to the stairwell, but the few seconds it took to open the outward-swinging door wide enough to slip through and rush into the stairwell cost her valuable time. The beast caught up to her at this point before Muri could slam the door down against its face. When the creature took a flying leap directly at her, Muri jumped up and over the hand-railing of the stairs in order to get away and possibly trick the beast into hurtling off after her. As she cleared the guard-rail, Muri began to form hand-signs as quickly as she could while up in the air before hurtling down several stories of the school, because her life depended on it. ” Tatsu, U, Ushi, Tatsu, Tori, Inu! Form of the Phoenix Jutsu!”

The creature bounded over the railing but its claws gripped the rails. The most the Hyuuga’s eyes would see was that it’s system was certainly a summon that was of a Yin release base. It’s dark chakra was binding some of the important points. It looked down at what would now be a little flittering fireball and pounced back up to the half stairway to get back to the now bigger target. It walked slowly and angrily towards the mini Hyuuga, it’s chakra showing a sharp burst of anger.

Muri heard Rai calling out in his loudest voice, from behind her as she hurriedly unfurled the feathered wings of her small fiery bird form to slow her fall in time to avoid meeting an early demise. Using the sudden lift and change in acceleration, she veered off through the narrow gaps in the guard-rail. Unfortunately, the beast had enough presence of mind to not accidentally fall off of the top of the stair-well. With a huff of frustration, Muri began to fly her way back up to the 9th floor while wondering just what to do about the monster attacking them. Each wing-beat gave her time to think. If she rushed back to fetch Mr. Haruno, there was a high likelihood that the little six year old would be mauled and eaten by the time the two of them managed to make the return trip. The door connecting the ninth floor hallway to the stairwell had been torn open by the creature’s attack, so Muri angled her wings to soar back into the hallway, the situation similar to before except now, Muri had no more chakra left for additional jutsu and Rai appeared to be significantly injured. In fact, the beast began stalking towards the Hyuuga slowly and filled with anger with its back towards the stair-well door. As quietly as she could, Muri dive-bombed the beast with flaming wings outstretched, hoping to clip and ignite the tufts of patched fur on its head and catch the beast by surprise before maneuvering out of reach of those sharp claws.

The creature was about to swipe again but had to stop as its tufts caught on fire. It yelped and rolled around, catching the walls on fire before it disappeared into a puff of unsummoning. The walls remained on fire though and it was starting to spread. Mr Haruno managed to come down and saw the fire before he said, “What the hell happened?! Nevermind! Muri?! You go get the students and escourt them down the far stairway. And… Early acceptance, you run up and tell anbu to get off the top floors and then get out as fast as you can and alert any on the way out. I will try to put out all the flames.” He focused his chakra into his fist and punched at some of the spreading flames, creating a vaccum and putting that little bit out.

The mosnter caught on fire and not only got distracted as Muri had hoped but it seemed that was enough to make the beast disappear! Before she could feel any relief, the dratted creature managed to catch the building on fire and almost immediately after the beast was gone, Mr. Haruno appeared. The girl grimaced, wishing that he could have come even a few minutes because the demonic looking creature that attacked them sounded like a excuse for arson. It was difficult to distinguish her avian expressions, but Muri’s fiery crest drooped a little at the thought of exactly how quickly Mr. Haruno had appeared after the beast disappeared. Had he been coming after them or… could he have possibly summoned the monster as part of their “test” ? If so, that had been a pretty dangerous test for young academy students, and one look at Rai showed that he had been seriously injured and probably needed medical attention, not climbing more flights of stairs. Also, there were ANBU here!? Still, she had no choice but to follow Mr. Haruno’s orders for the moment. Muri gave a nod in response to Mr. Haruno’s orders, a bit worried that she might be blamed if the building actually went up in smoke, especially if someone died in the fire that she had caused. “Aye aye!” A few wing-flaps and frantic back-peddling allowed Muri to turn and head for the stairwell.

She flew up back to the door to the 16th story hall and then transformed back into her human form so she would be able to open the door. That last transformation had taken a lot out of her, and even though she tried to hide it, Muri was beginning to feel beat from the amount of chakra and just overall energy she had spent practicing transformations and running all over the school. Those lunches were going to be delicious. Muri weakly entered the hallway and walked briskly to the classroom, opening the door and calling out, “Oi! We’re hoofing it out of here! Mr. Haruno says all y’all have to evacuate!”

Mr Haruno knew that Rai was injured, he also knew the anbu would help him. He focused as he coughed out some of the smoke and he thought about things he could do to try and quell the growing flames. He created a massive vortex with a single punch, putting out the flames but collapsing the floor. He didn’t have the time to steady himself and he landed on his back. He took a deep breath and looked up, he’d missed a flame.

The anbu coming from the top sent a scout ahead, they saw Rai and said, “Halt! Return down and seek medical help.”

The class mates had all retreated into their phone and when Muri burst in with the news, they blew it off. One of them pulled out long enough to say, “What? is the building on fire or something?” The others laughed and one of the others shouted out, “Shit! I hit a pipe!”

The complaint from her classmates provoked an irritated click of the tongue accompanied with an eye-roll. Had they really not been able to hear the roars and growls from that dreadful summon beast? Muri reminded herself that she really did need to save these idiots and tried once more to convince them. “Yup. I set fire to the whole 9th floor like WOOSH!” To emphasize the intensity of the fire, Muri raised her arms above her head and flailed them in what she deemed to be a dramatic manner. ” So, anyway now we need to go down the back stairs. Mr. Haruno is having a go at putting out the fires, but this place might go up in smoke. Also, all of our lunches are out there so if ya want to eat….”

Mr Haruno got himself up and dusted off, trying a few more vacuum punches that nearly caught him on fire from the growing blaze. He leaped up the walls and performed a few more punches, the fire sucking into it and extinguishing. They were still going on though.

The anbu that were coming from the bottom, two of them spotted Rai. The one went over and said, “Kid, hold still, we need to get these wounds shut then you will be escorted safely out of the building.”

The classmates did not pay much attention until the mention of food arose. They looked and her and one by one, they started evacuating the class. They weren’t leaving because the school was on fire, but because they wanted their food to not go to waste. On the way down, when the finally saw the fire, they ran down and panicked. They even shoved each other to get out of the building.

It didn’t seem like the students were going to ever leave the classroom, but the mention of food seemed to finally do the trick. Muri grinned deviously, the smile widening slightly when her classmates realized just what trouble they were in and really started to run about and panic. Talk about lighting a fire under their asses… The classmate who had been failing at his cellphone game bumped tripped in his haste to get away from the growing flames while Muri followed afterwards, more wary of the dangers of smoke inhalation than of the actual fire. Once all of the students had managed to get out of the building, although many had scrapes and scratches and skinned knees where they had pushed and shoved each other to get out, Muri stopped paying attention to them to look for where Rai, Mr. Haruno or some adult ninja would be to give her some kind of an explanation for the craziness of the past hour or so. She was unable to find Mr. Haruno, suggesting that he was still inside the building. Muri cast a worried look over the now evacuated school. Just how bad were the flames, anyhow? “Oi,” she complained to everyone and no one in particular, “this place don’t have a fire-alarm?”

The anbu channeled their chakra into their fingers and ran it over the wounds, sealing them a bit. They did a few more passes until the wound closed. Then the anbu scooped up the young child and ran them outside, the anbu starting to evacuate. When they got outside, they placed Rai down. There was mostly children outside and the Anbu made a line to prevent anyone from entering the building. One of the Anbu said, “Do not worry! The situation is being handled! We are trained professionals!”
Mr Haruno walked out of the building, covered in burns and smoke as well as having some stones and wood sticking from different parts of his body as he said, “Trained professionals my ass…” He spat at the ground in front of them and said, “Your bullshit risked the lives of many students because you didn’t know how to put out a god damned fire. Worthless pieces of crap.” He walked to Muri and somewhat towards Rai as he asked, “Are you both alright? I tried to make a strategy to cause you both and the building the least amount of destruction.” He started pulling out wood and rocks from his arms.
