“Holy fuck! You just shot goddamn lasers! Did anyone else see that?!” Jack said, laughing.

“Nice pun! Did anyone else ‘see’ that! Of course I saw it they came out of my eyes!!” Apollo falls to the ground, blanketting himself in wings and laughing, rolling around on the ground.

“Haha, yeah! I’m clever like that.” Jack making that pun was completely unintentional and accidental.

<i>Katherine muttered under her breath as she gathered up all the bottles in the room and left, coming back to find the mess Jack and Apollo made. </i>”I literally just left for a few minutes! I’m starting to regret being in charge….” Katherine cursed herself for being too stubborn to recede in her mind and let Rose be in charge of these ‘teammates’

Apollo gets up and laughs nervously. “Oh, um, forgot you were here. Laser bottles though.” Apollo looks directly at the car hovering outside and wonders if that can take them to Inversia.

“Hold on. Who made you in charge? I’m the leader of the goddamn team!”

Katherine raised an eyebrow at Jack, clearly unimpressed, “Of course you are……” She looked away and glared at Apollo a bit sternly, “No touching.” Really, what were they, kids?

A scrunched up paper ball hit the back of Katherine’s head. As she turned around, Jack pointed at Apollo.

Apollo shoots Katherine a look. “Jack’s right, he is the leader.”

Katherine sighed, “Well yes, he is. But I’m technically not part of his group, only Rose officially agreed. Plus, while you stay in this building I am in charge of being your host and making sure you don’t put everyone else in danger, this building still has valuable information in it as well.”

Apollo snickers at Katherine’s two personalities. “Wish there was more Ascendius in you than human, then you would’ve gotten along really well with me.”

“Oh yeah? Fucking stop me from doing this.” <i>Jack grabbed a vial, drinking it and smiling in victory. His face slowly lowered as his emotion went from confidence to sheer horror.</i>
“Uh oh.” Jack’s eyes suddenly glazed over, his pupils taking up most of his eyes like a cat. He got on all fours, walking on the ground whispering.

“You shouldn’t have done that! You’re not built to eat everything!” Apollo tackles a fearful Jack into the indoor pond.

Jack slammed into the metaphorical indoor pool, as it did not exist. As in, they were in an underground lab, not a fucking hotel room, HiFly. Where do you keep getting this idea? We are in an underground lab. Jack hit the ground, tripping nuts.

Katherine ignored the Ascendius, choosing it would be better to ignore the pure breed, and instead she just grinned at Jack. The half-breed picked up the bottle and sighed a bit sadly, “This is only temporary, the only lasting side affects is heightened senses for a period of time. This was a failed attempt at making the user a lupide, but mostly just made the user more cat like and a tad bit crazy.”
