Jack got up soaked in blood from the blast, grinning maliciously.

“Someone’s gonna die now.” He vaulted over Katherine, grabbing one of the last surrendering criminals with his hands in the air by the shoulder, lifting him fully into the air by one hand and shoving him towards the ground, smashing him through a glass table, shattering it.

He laughed as the man yelped in pain, clearly having broken bones from the fall. Jack lifted him up again by the wrist, holding him in the air.

“Where do you get your supplies to sell?!” He shouted at the man, and he spat in Jack’s face. Jack grimaced, and squeezed the man’s wrist, him suddenly screaming out of pain as the bones in his hands were crushed.

Katherine turned away from the scene Jack caused to look at Kika, “Despite what Rose might say I’m almost a hundred percent sure we both do not mind dying. Yes they did attack me, but stopped because they couldn’t find me. The enemy is the enemy, your allies are the enemy, keep no one close for they all have the power to destroy you.” That was the motto Katherine lived by and would always stand for. Usually she didn’t talk much but this was a mission in her eyes, the more they understood about the differences between Rose and her, the better. If anyone bothered to get to know her and Rose then they would finally understand why their personality was so split. She turned back to Jack and the man watching with hard eyes.

The man screamed information to Jack, telling him the location.

“Thanks.” Jack smiled, putting a hand on his throat, slowly squeezing the life out of him.

Kika looks at the woman a bit confused, now noticing the change in her voice and attitude, “Despite what Rose tells me? Both of you? There’s more than one of you?” A perfect opportunity to change the subject. She didn’t want to go into her whole speech about due process of laws and how they work, not to mention what they are bloody meant to be used for. No, that would be way too much, and more than enough to get her killed…

She looks over at Jack as her mind slowly tries to keep itself calm…people like him…that’s what her job was meant for…but it wasn’t time yet… She lets out a sigh and looks at Rose, awaiting her response.

Katherine tilted her head as she stared at the woman a bit before murdering the man by snapping his neck, “No need to make them suffer, Mr. Issues. You shouldn’t brood for too much either.”

She turned to Kika once more, “Only us after the experiment. Interesting, I know that Rose tells everyone she works with about how we work, or at the very least that I exist. I am Katherine, the colder counterpart of Rose.”

Jack’s face slowly dawned from the evil grin to a somber look, dropping the now dead man.

Jack sat down on the streaked black marble floor of the club, holding his head in his arms, assessing the damage and trying to keep fragments of his mind together. Not in front of them, he told himself as he slowly stood up, desperately trying to keep himself composed.

“Experiment?” Jack croaked, now lighting a cigarette as his hands lightly shook, turning around and looking at Katherine.

Katherine watched the unstable minded human before deciding that Rose would be a better handler for their situation instead. As Rose came out she accessed the damage around her coolly but with a sad tint in her eyes. “Mr. Human, are you alright? You seem like you’ll drop at any moment, please take a seat.” Rose did not flinch at the word and avoided it. Damn Katherine, always leaving her to deal with these issues. She knew Katherine disapproved of any action not strictly business but she wasn’t Katherine, and for a good reason as well.

“I’m okay. Just the brain being weird, y’know.” Jack used his free hand to knock on his head jokingly, facing her as he smoked, his deeply circled eyed focused on the floor.

“Thanks for the concern. But what experiment?” He asked.

Rose knew he wouldn’t let it go but she didn’t know what Katherine told him so it was quite frustrating. “May you clarify why you keep asking about an experiment? Despite what people think we are not emotions fighting over one body with the other, we each have a different part of the psych not allowing us any contact with the other.”

“Nothing. Just remember something a long time ago an experiment about a split-personality Ascendii, one side a double agent to the Exansis, and the other side completely unaware they were a spy to their group.” Jack said, trying to keep the smoke from reaching the girl.

Kika looks at the two, listening to the conversations and making mental notes of a few things as they spoke… Rose-Katherine was an experiment of two persons… The location of the weapon stashes… The fact that Jack is a smoker… RK has different memories per person…

Kika stands up and looks around the room, “We can play story time later…there’s dead people everywhere, so I suggest we at least get someplace safe.”

If Rose knew what he was talking about she didn’t let it show. Rose only tilted her head, “That’s an interesting story Mr. Human. Though…” She eyed the cigarette in hi hands before snatching it away. “Smoking is bad Mr. Human, you shouldn’t do that, you’re a human too which means you die faster too.” She snubbed out the burning end with her fingers, seemingly not feeling it sing her skin in the slightest.

“Right, right.” Jack threw the cigarette butt on the ground, grinding on it.

“Get out of here now and head back to base, I guess.” Jack stuck his hands in his pockets, walking out the door.
