She smiled again. “I’m seventeen. The ages of the students here varies depending on when they discovered their Maji and what the circumstances were.”
-
“Oh okay. So in term, a 6 year old could be using magic and come to this school? Seems a little to bit early don’t ya think?”
-
After Alter was helped up he looked at Aubrey “So wait is there a chance to see a 10 year old kid here too?” Alter asked
-
Aubrey shook her head. “No, the chances are slim. The only reason I came at such an early age is because one of the professors here saved my life when I was a kid. It really is pretty rare for a child younger than thirteen to be here.”
-
While the somewhat pale mage did put this information away for later he found most of it rather pointless. Age had nothing to do with ones need for learning only their drive to rise in this world could ever hold them back. After taking the time to stack his plate with a group of dirty ones Seth returned to the herd with hands resting in front pockets. Without drawing any attention to himself he started to look over the rest of these new recruits. For a moment his eyes seemed more predator like as if he was a tiger stalking prey. He created a different set of mental notes for every one of them for life was a game and tho each player had cards that worked well when played with another some were simply designed to eliminate opponents.

Walking up to the new building, she smiled and pointed to two classrooms. “Human and mage history. Different classes, you’ll be taking both. You’ll switch off every week. These classes are the most important in your gen ed studies, as they will help you quite a bit with understanding your own magic.”
-
Seth nodded towards the building, putting on a face of someone who was truly interested in such things but he could honestly care less. While history did serve a purpose of reminding us of past mistakes he didn’t currently see much use in it for now. Slowly he ran light ash colored fingers thru pitch black hair and asked out in the same tone from before.* “Well I look forward to learning the knowledge of those who came before us.”
-
“Yea i cant wait either my sister would always tell me to learn from the past so i dont make the same mistakes in the future.” Alter said with a chuckle in response to what Seth said before a thought crossed his mind. “Hey was Merlin an actual wizard or was he just something someone made up or based on someone?”
-
A little twinkle of mischief came into her eyes. “Yeah, he was real. And you want to know something?”
-
“Hell yeah I wanna here something about Merlin!” Thomas said looking away from the door to the history class and back to Aubrey.
-
“Yea what is it.” Alter asked completely oblivious to the look in Aubrey’s eyes.
-
She gave a mischievous grin. “He’s the high mage.”
-
“Wait what.” Alter said and it took him a minute to register what she just said. “HE’S THE HIGH MAGE!?”
-
She giggled softly. “Yep. The one and only.”
-
“But wait, isn’t he centuries old? Hw is he still alive?”
