The City and The Coffee Shop
-
“Fight! Fight! Fight!” Cecil watched eagerly, having never witnessed a demonic possession firsthand before. At least he thought this was probably a demonic possession. It was hard to tell without having seen one. He pulled out his phone and turned on the camera, he’d definitely want a video of this. He sat on the counter, trying to get a good angle.
-
Tager quickly stands up. Coffee and donuts could wait, if this person was dangerous, he had to get rid of the disturbance. But…He never liked fighting women, or children. Overall he had no qualms fighting if need be, but after the fight was over he always felt upset over having hurt someone that seemed so fragile. Still, he was good about not killing – Even those in the Novus Orbis Librarium, NOL for short, rarely fell to his gigantic, metallic fists.
He wasn’t used to fighting in such a combined space, however. His massive size may prove to be a problem, but he was hoping it wouldn’t be so much of a hindrance that he practically couldn’t move.
The radio transmission came back on. “Tager! What’s going on? Your signal’s showing hostility! If you break anything, that’s even more coming out of your paycheck!”
“Sorry, Kokonoe. Just a minor disturbance. It’ll be settled shortly.”
-
The tall guy was talking, and I stopped to listen. It seemed he was talking into an eraser of some sort, definitely not the kind Dad had taught me how to use. He was talking to some person, “Kokonoe.” Weird.
I shrug and begin trying to reach out to the girl’s warping soul, my soul wavelength passing the barrier of the dead to reach her. My wavelength had a special property to soothe dormant madness, wherever it touched. That was how Jameston, Stitch’s little “pet” demon, stayed contained. He was still sarcastic and annoying, though. I try to put these thoughts out of my mind as I focus on breaking through the barrier to get my soul wavelength into the world of the living. Nearby people might feel a slight calm in their soul, or if they were particularly chaotic, a discomforting disturbance.

((*earset, not eraser. AUTOCORRECT!!))

The imp looks on at the scene unfolding in front of himself, frantically looking back and forth.
“A-ah-aaaah, I don’t know what to do.” He bites his lip, and shifts in place. “I went in way over my head…”
-
((sorry, but I was on the mobile version, and apparently I don’t have access to editing posts there. I’m back, so I shall edit it. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Jane looks around, “Where is my empress?” She sits into a seat, “I am nothing without my empress…” She shakes her head to see a person behind the coffee counter holding a phone. He was filming her. Jane stands up again and stomps toward him, “Turn off the camera device. No one is allowed to see me in my state of utter confusion due to the lack of a person to rule my every move.” Jane raises her hand and slaps the phone down, “Please refrain from causing me any embarrassment.” She nods and trumps over to L’s side, “How about that drink?”
-
“Oh, right.” L said, blinking in confusion at the sudden change in her attitude. “Have you decided what you want?” He motioned for her to follow him as he went over to the counter, picking up Cecil’s phone and handing it back to him with a slightly apologetic expression.
-
Tager, deciding that this situation wasn’t as dangerous as he thought, decided to head up to the counter and order his coffee. The clerk looked rather scared, at everything that was going on.
“I’ll have one Caramel Macchiato please. And if you have them, I’d like a box of chocolate creme-filled donuts. …How much would that be, by the way?”
-
“Thanks.” Cecil took the device gingerly, giving Jane a dirty look. “Your little girlfriend’s quite the firecracker, isn’t she?” It was not meant entirely nicely. He turned around and examine the menu. Seeing how the barista was unresponsive, he guessed they’d probably have to figure things out for themselves until the man was ready to do his job again.
-
Jane frowns, “I do not understand what you mean by firecracker. And I am most certainly not this mans girlfriend. He is much to old for me, and besides I already have eyes for someone else.” Jane approaches the counter, “I’ll have a Caramel, chocolate Frappuccino. Sprinkle some cinnamon and vanilla on the top and add extra whipped cream.” She tilts her head, “And I will have no need for any baked goods, for Crocker products are the best.”
-
Looking up from his phone looking the giant man amazed by his structure.
“That will be $8.50 please”
Dai moving his head towards the noise to see a fight a brewing, staring at what to about to happen.Dai walks to the back of the kitchen, making the Caramel Macchiato and picking up the donuts for the customer.Arriving back with the order putting them on the counter with a slight stumble but able regain his balance. Now waiting for the customer to give his money… -
Jane stands, waiting for her order to be received, “This tiara is giving me such a headache, someone please take it off.”
-
“Yes, I only met her a few minutes ago.” L said, reaching down to remove the tiara before she had another fit or something. He decided he’d head home after this, maybe go for a walk. The whole situation was giving HIM a headache.
