Gaelan nodded, snatching the keys and rushing out of the building to go get the oxygen tank, his mind in a blur. Adrian rose and followed behind, partly to keep an eye on his trainer and partly to lend his superior strength.
There were allergies, and then there was whatever Ryuu had. He had seen people get allergic reactions, and he himself was mildly allergic to felines, but normally those kinds of problems caused trouble breathing or rashes and hives, not internal hemorrhaging. Something was seriously, wrong and he was worried that another of the few sane people left in this crazy war might get die.
He threw the door of the car open, his eyes quickly alighting on an oxygen tank and mask. With a soft grunt, he picked one of the cylinders up. “Thanks Adrian,” he said, when the Kabutops helped him by lifting the mask carefully to keep it from trailing along the ground. “…No problem.”
If the oxygen mask helped the Rocket leader, then did that mean the disease was solely airborne? Yet another thing to think about…
Gaelan and Adrian headed back to the HQ quickly, hoping that Ryuu would be alright.

As Jason walked toward the steely doors he- Okay, stop. Reality check. I am walking into THE MOST HOSTILE PLACE FOR A POKEMON. Why? FOR KICKS. We good? Good. Let’s go into stealth mode….- As Jason STEALTHILY zipped through the doors, he quickly and quietly followed the people around as they talked, he listened. “People almost never look up unprovoked.” He thinks to himself.
-
-Ryuu stayed with her head down, just trying to focus on breathing. She couldn’t really catch it anymore without coughing more. She looked at the team members that stayed with her, trying to put n a stronger face before anyone else might show up but it may not work this time.
She didn’t seem in tune to anything other than trying to stop her coughing because others were around. –
-
Reaching down to get SOMEONE’s attention, he pokes the woman in the nose and says, boldly, “‘Sup.”
-
All eyes immediately snap towards the cheeky Quilava who had been skulking about the rafters. Immediately, Brielle’s eyes narrow angrily. She disliked fire type Pokémon as a matter of course, and the idea of a sneak-weasel trespassing on their HOME riled her up even more. “W-What are you doing here!? You better explain or else!” She began hopping angrily, tail thrashing with agitation.
Sandstream looked at the newcomer, back to her angry older sister and then back to the newcomer again. “If you try anything, you’re gonna get it, mister!” She stuck her tongue out impudently at the Quilavea, revealing two pointy fangs.
-
Well. I didn’t really that through very well, Jason thought. “Uh…..” He raises a hand in protest, stops, and retracts it, saying, “Yeah I really didn’t think that through… bye!” Jason becomes a blur of motion as he strikes the guy in the head and runs like hell.
-
Annnnd then he corners himself in THE MOST CLICHE PLACE EVER. A dumpster alley, of course. “Why do they still have these, for this kinda stuff?” He says to no one in particular.
-
Gaelan fell to the ground as a streak of red and yellow hits him smack-dab in the forehead. “Oww! WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!?” Sandstream chattered happily from inside, pleased that no serious violence broke out, “Hahhahah, Firesparker went fwooo! Bad word, bad word, you said a bad word!”
The trainer groaned, but got back up despite the injury. There was no time to lose, there was still a possibly dying person who needed his help! A low hiss from Adrian sounded from behind him. “Gaelan….” The trainer nodded as picked up the oxygen tank and opened the door to the headquarters, the oxygen mask and tubing wrapped loosely around his arm. “Go ahead, Adrian, but don’t wander past our territory and come back if it looks too rough. You don’t want to be lured into a trap or something.”
Gaelan quickly strapped the elastic band of the oxygen mask over Ryuu’s head with Brielle adjusting the oxygen tank regulator and pressure, while the Kabutops dashed off after his quarry.
-
Adrian chuckled under his breath when he caught up to the Quilava in a dark alleyway. He stretched his arm-blades out, enjoying the way the sunlight reflected off of the shiny chitin. “You CAN’T have thought that one through, rat.”
-
“You don’t say? I mean, I just looove going inside of buildings of death. It’s practically my passion.”
Jason says sarcastically. “Also, alleyways. Why do they still have these? There is NOTHING IN THEM! I bet they keep these for situations just like this.” Jason tenses, preparing himself for the inevitable. -
-Ryuu was coughing all through being prodded and just trying to contain it. She then felt the mask go over her face and she tried to breathe evenly and deeply through her nose. She still coughed a few times, getting some blood on the inside of the mask. IT was not a very good sight but it was a relief.
After a few deep breaths and she caught herself, her head pounding as she swore she felt the horns grow and curl a bit, she spoke through the mask to him, “Thank you… So much.”
She thought for a second and said, “If you want, you can keep the car when you are done. I can’t really repay you for this so you can have that. I have more…” She resumed breathing in the oxygen deeply.-
-
Seeing an opening around the Kabutops, Jason surprises the enemy and breaks through with some form of Flame Charge, Knocking the Pokémon down while Jason runs back to the HQ, not thinking again.
-
Adrian sprung back to his feet, more surprised than actually injured by the fiery attack. “So that’s the way you want to play, hmnn” With his claws fully extended to either side of him, he sprinted forward with all of his speed, jetting water behind him in an Aqua Rush to catch up to and attack Jason.
-
“This may not end well… But THIS IS AWESOME!!!” Zooming past the guy at door again, knocking him on his face AGAIN as he zooms in.
-
Gaelan nodded to Ryuu. “I’m glad you’re okay. In times like these, humans need to look out for each other.” He paused and sighed, “Please don’t give me your only means of transportation just because I’m acting like a decent person…-what?”
The trainer turned to face his Breloom who had been clutching Gaelan’s sleeve with a magenta colored claw. “I’m sorry, we let that Quilava escape…”
Gaelan sighed, subconsciously rubbing the place where he had gotten hit by the Quilava. “It’s okay. I’m just glad you had the sense not to get involved with a fire Pokémon. It didn’t do anything to you guys, did it?”
