Gaelan shouted angrily as the darned Pokémon hit him once more in the face as it rushed by, with Kabutops angrily in pursuit. The water pokemon promptly dashed through the open path the Quilava cleared and rammed into Jason.
-
-Ryuu smiled and silently insisted he keep the car. She heard the first news then watched the Quilava burst back in. She startled a little but kept composed with her oxygen mask on. She leaned against the wall and stood up slowly. She was feeling her pockets and she found what appeared to be a leather strip.
She looked at it and pressed a small button hidden on the one end and threw it at the Quilava. The strip beeped as it went towards the creature and seemed intent to tie its feet together. Ryuu smirked and said, “One of Oak’s last presents… If it don’t restrain him, then he’s a human.”
She chuckled at her joke, some raspness to her voice but she cleared it quickly.-
-
Recovering only to find himself unable to move his legs, Jason began to- My turn. I thrashed like nuts trying to get outta that thing, spewing fire all ’round the walls. Sad to say, it didn’t work, and the Kabutops shut me up pretty quickly.
What’s strange was I saw a kid somewhere in the fray. A Sandshrew, I think. Dunno what he’s doing here at True Heir HQ, but I’m gonna guess he’s with big tall and pissed over there.
-
When Professor Oak’s device worked on Jason, Gaelan’s eyes lit up with malicious delight. “Well, it seems he’s not human.” As soon as the device began working, the fiery Pokémon began trying its best to set the entire base on fire, but managing to only burn the wallpaper. Adrian slapped it with a clawed arm to keep the Pokémon quiet.
Gaelan quickly considered his options and then nodded to himself, “Alright, Sandstream, make sure that Quilava doesn’t burn the place down.”
“Right!” Sandstream replied cheerfully and began smothering any smoking or singing parts of the walls and floor with a Sand Attack.
“Adrian, rough up that Quilava with an Aqua Tail just to make sure.” Before the words even left Gaelan’s mouth, the Kabutops was rushing towards Jason again, with a spiraling torrent of water circling around its spiny tail. The fossil Pokémon took great delight in attacking the Quilava with its powerful attack. That would teach it not to attack his trainer and defenseless old ladies.
Gaelan unhooked a vacant Great Ball from his belt and pressed the button, causing it to enlarge and activate. “I wonder whether Pokeballs still work…” He chuckled, maliciously. “Alright, Quilava. You’re going to tell us what you know about any legendary Pokémon or else.”
-
“You know, I love having some water every so often. It makes me feel all giddy and cooperative.” Jason said sarcastically. “These, ‘legendaries’ you talk about, I have no clue where they are. Or do I?” He chuckles. “You know, I won’t dash off again. Seeing as I’m a little, ah, tied up.”
-
-Ryuu looked at the caught one flailing then at Gaelan and his poke’mon. She sighed into the oxygen mask and heard the comment on the Poke’ball. She moved close to him and whispered, “It won’t work unless he is 75% Poke’mon. After that you need a collar so the least you can do it try it out.” She moved the tank with her and thought about what was going on.-
-
Gaelan sighed, “Alright. Well, it’s worth a try.” He really would have to ask Ryuu where she was getting her information. She seemed to be quite the wealth of knowledge, and a valuable asset to a trainer like him, stumbling around blindly.
He turned to the fire Pokémon. “You think I’m joking, huh?” With that, he hurled the Great Ball at Quilava’s head.
-
“Gee. That really hurt. Not.” Jason said, laughing at the stupid ball he threw at him.
“You wanna see me play fetch? ‘Go boy, get the ball!'” Is laughing his head off at this point. -
-Ryuu sighed and drug herself and the tank out. She knew the Quilava was being quite a pest so she would have to employ another thing that she had acquired. She went to the car which, surprisingly, the door was still open. She reached herself in and shuffled around in hidden door compartments and sighed.
“It has to be in here somewhere,” She said to herself. She finally gripped what looked like a red and white collar with a poke’ball shaped clip. She went back to Gaelan and whispered, “This might work. Wasn’t from Oak but one of the others. Once this Poke’mon is gone or tamed, I will explain.”-
-
“Woah there, sister. Define ‘gone’.”
I’m going to guess this will hurt. A LOT.
-
Red eyes flashed towards the fire weasel, “Gone meaning if this collar doesn’t make you more cooperative or finish you, I’ll rip you to ribbons. I have no use for a pest like you.” He took the collar carefully from Ryuu and walked over to the Quilava.
“Sandstream, if you could hold him down…” The Gligar nodded and turned a small area of the floor underneath the Quilava to quicksand.
Adrian crossed his claws together hoping it would work. Although he was angry at the fire pokemon, he could never be so angry as to kill another Pokemon even at his trainer’s command, at least not when he wasn’t hungry.
Gaelan snapped the collar onto Jason, tempted for a brief moment to hook it too tight. He curbed that thought though and looked towards Ryuu for any further instructions on how to operate it.
-
-Ryuu watched carefully and took the mask off for a second to show a sincere smile. She spoke out loud, “You just caught yourself a Quilava, if he can’t get it off. This is the only one made with a shock collar in it.” She was only jesting but she would never let on about this bluff until everything calmed down.-
-
“So. I wonder what you people do around here. You know, for fun. You always run around for Pokémon, or no?” He makes a distracting gesture with his head flare. “Well. I guess my initiation is complete. Welcome to True Heirs. Grandest cause ever.” Scoffs, then shuts up for a bit.
-
Moving to a gentler tone than usual, Jason begins muttering to himself.
-
Gaelan smiled at Ryuu before sighing at the Quilava. “If you didn’t want to join, why did you come?” The trainer kneeled down slightly so that he was at eye-level with fire Pokémon, “Alright, since we’re going to be spending time together we might as well try to get along. My name’s Gaelan, this is Ryuu, Gabrielle, Adrian and Sandstream,” he said, introducing the formerly wild Pokémon to the Rocket leader, Breloom, Kabutops and Gligar respectively. “What should I call you?”
