Snidely smiles slightly, “Yeah, that’d be good.” He glances toward Leo, “That guy sleeps like a damn rock though.” Snidely leans back, closing his eyes.
-
Fern looks at Leo. “Ha, yeah.” she strides over to the kitchen. It takes her a moment to find everything, but, she finds it and begins making his coffee. “Did you get any sleep last night?” she asks from the kitchen.
-
Snidely sighs, pushing his head back into the couch a little, “Might’ve dozed off somewhere around 5 but not much.”
-
Fern nods. “So, not much sleep.” she chuckles under her breath. “I bet my parents are worried sick, I got my phone taken away, so…” she shrugs, “My brother is probably on a man-hunt right now. And he found out if I was hanging around a person like you? Oh God, I don’t even want to think ’bout it.”
-
Snidely opens his eyes, turning around to look at her, “you know, you could go back…” He starts, although his tone was the same as always, there was an extremely faint trace of concern on his face, “… It’s just a short train ride from here.”
-
Fern shakes her head, “no”. “It’s okay. I need time off away from my family for a bit. They’ll survive without me.” she finishes Snidely’s coffee. She walks over to him, handing it to him and sitting down.
-
Snidely takes a sip, “alright… I would be safer if you went, you know?” He pauses, taking another sip, “anyway if you get hurt its not my problem, k?”
-
Fern looks down. “I don’t really want to go back, ya know? I think this is good for a chicken like me to go out and explore.” she shrugs. “And I know, I’ll be okay. I’m pretty safe.”
-
Snidely nods, choosing to stop arguing for now. Leo opens his eyes, he seemed to have been only half asleep, “you guys are arguing…?” he sits up a little, he glanced between the two of them, seeming to be in a better mood than yesterday.
-
Fern narrows her eyes. “Not really…?” she says, looking at Leo. “I wouldn’t call it arguging…” she shrugs, glancing at Snidely.
-
Leo stands up, stretching out his wings, “So what were gonna do today again?” He walks into the kitchen, “We were gonna go to Morphine, right? But what after that? What about before?”
-
Fern shrugs. “It really depends on what happens when we meet Morphine. Either way, we will tell them what is happening.” she tells Leo. She looks at Snidely.
-
Snidely nods, “Sounds about right, may as well get going now.” He stands up and glances towards Leo, “you’ll show us the way, right?” Leo nods, “Yeah! Man, you’re gonna love it, it’s super cool!” He slings his bag over his shoulder and begins walking out the door, “What are you guys waiting for? Let’s go!”
-
Fern gives Snidely a ‘I still don’t trust this guy’ look. But she stands up and begins to follow Leo. “A-okay, you lead the way.” she says to him.
-
Snidely returns her glance with a shrug. Leo continues walking down the street really fast, occasionally looking back and telling the other two to speed up. Eventually they reached a warehouse lot near the river, “Ok! Lets go! This is the place!” He walks up to one of the warehouses, “Come on, guys! It’s here, lets go!”
