You are in a room.
The floor is made of concrete.
The walls are made of concrete.
The ceiling is made of concrete.
There are no doors, windows, or other openings. Somehow, the air in the room is being refreshed constantly.
You have no idea how you, or anyone else, got in this room. You don’t see much of a way out. There’s nothing here except the clothes on your back – even the light is just a dim ambient illumination, with no visible source.

“I think she’s out cold…” Emmaline coughs out water, wheezing in pain from the water having momentarily entered her system and almost drowned her. “We’re lucky she didn’t drown.” Flipping on her back, she floats and stares at the ceiling. “I think we’re going to make it. We have to, right?”
-
Samuel looks to Velia, checking her heart beat with one hand, holding her in the other. Steady…seemingly, he continues kicking his legs watching Elijah disappear from sight, she begins stirring in his arms and coughing up water. As her eyes finally opened she sees Samuel with a sigh of relief. “I slipped.” She says apologetically. Samuel unwraps his scarf, and it’s even apparent there’s a slight difference in skin tone, being his neck is ever so slightly lighter, he takes the red scarf and knots it around his wrist, knotting the other side to Velia’s thin grey wrist, however being very careful of…things. Velia watches curiously, wincing if he gets too tight. “Thank.” She said when he finished and she drops from him and begins to swim awkwardly in doggy paddle-like-movements.
-
“She’s alive? Good.” She turns around, looking at her. “Does anyone have a plan? I didn’t want to go out choking on water.”
-
Elijah opens his eyes, the world completely blurred to him…but the shade of pink of Alex’s hair should be easy to spot. He turns around. Is that?! Yes! Oh shit, air. He quickly goes up to the top and takes a breath before quickly going down again, opening his eyes and swimming in the direction of Alex. The pink appears to be close to where he stopped, he reaches his arm out to feel around, bumping his hand against something. He sees the tone of semi-pale skin and a blurred black sleeve.
Hell yes.
The brunette reaches out and wraps his hand around a weirdly winy forearm, swimming up and surfacing himself and Alex, he hoists the unconscious Alex onto his back, keeping himself floating and swimming back over to Samuel and Velia, but with a bit of difficulty. He feels shallow breaths against his back. Thank god…none of them died…they’re all okay for right now.
-
“Looks like everyone is here. Good.” She giggles dryly, staring at the ceiling. “Are we going to die? I sure hope not.” She looks into the water, searching for anything that could be of use. Swimming down after spotting something glints, she comes back up with a pocket watch. “I don’t think this will much help.”
-
Velia coughs a little looking to Elijah and Alex. This all was happening so fast, and she…almost died…How many times has that happened? Samuel watched the others in the room. It was a horrible way to die…drowning…He felt so bad suddenly for Mina, of course the reason why wasn’t hidden but him thinking of her seemed kinda sudden. Hopefully their earlier message plans was working…Velia paddled around Samuel, not being bothered by their “leash” connection form the soggy scarf. She didn’t want to drown as much as he didn’t want her to drown.
-
Elijah sticks to Samuel and Velia as he has been doing, but he does make sure that everyone else in the room is okay. Suddenly there’s a coughing from behind him. Alex is coughing, slowly gaining consciousness.
“Remind m-” cough “me” cough “to um…” cough cough “hug Mina.” Alex Manages this in a worn out voice between coughs.
Elijah sighs in relief. He thinks “Do you think that the puppet master may have put something on the ground after the water got to a certain point? Something to stop it?”
-
Samuel shrugs “your guess is as good as mine.” He says and Velia blinks “There is an end to every road .-.” Samuel translate,s “She says it has to stop eventually.” He says processing how morbid that was…
-
“And that end might be us dying…” Elijah mutters.
Alex tries to regulate his breathing, still quite weak, and also cold, “Or we can stop it…some…how…”
Hope. That’s what Alex wants everyone to have and hold onto right now.
-
As the water rises, Samuel continues to get more and more frustrated. Velia Couldve meant that in a completely non morbid way…right?! Velia’s face offers no solution, and the hope diminishes…except the single thread of hope that was their message to the outside world. Was it pathetic he thought of this as the outside world already? Ugh this was enough to make him loose it but he couldn’t. There’s no way in hell he could loose it, the others were…he couldn’t…For Velia.
Velia absently forced the look of nothing she’s held for awhile now, she couldnt make Samuel too worried, he was always so worried about her, for nothing she…could show him she can help she can fix this, maybe it will stop before they all drown. Yeah. That’ll be a way to show him. She’ll be the hopeful one…but will he be okay? She…was reluctant to admit that in the life or death situation, she didn’t care about herself, but…if Sam-Sam died? She….she didn’t know what she’d do.
-
Eventually, with all the shit going down, I woke up. “alright, how long was i out, who the hell are you, and what the fuck is happening?”
-
The odor in the room does not change.
The water level is now eight feet. Two feet of air remain.
-
Samuel is beginning to get claustrophobic as the space between his head and the ceiling decreases too rapidly for his liking, Velia’s breathing becomes gasps as if she’s beginning to swallow the water, she can’t tell if there’s going to be an end or a new beginning as she looks around. It was too much for them, the scarf now completely soaked begins tearing, so Samuel grabs her free hand. Velia’s soaked white dress becomes transparent, you can see her dark undergarments, and grey skin. Across her stomach and beneath sleeves, her scars begin to be visible. She doesn’t seem to care too much at the moment. Her voices were so echoey. Like they were drowning with her. She could pick up the usual whispers and tell them apart from the hallucinations that currently could not be seen.
-
I swim up for a breath I see that Veila is struggling so I dive back down to her feet and I push her higher up so she can get a breath but not so high so she doesn’t hit the ceiling.
-
With a cough Velia looks to the stranger/savior “Thank.” She says paddling closer to Samuel.
