“Dude.” The stairs shimmer, disappearing and making James fall onto his knees. “That was… Awesome!”

A girl strode into the school, her clear blue eyes like tinted glass with dark pupils, her stature only reaching five feet and an inch, blonde hair silky, full, and to her waist. Her bangs were semi-choppy and the most of it pulled to the back of her head to a light blue bow showing off her small round ears. A blue and white checkered sweater topped over a white frilly dress, a small black bow poking over the sweater’s neck line. In one small hand that poked out from a sleeve she clenched the extended handle of a wheel pulled bag, and in the other hand a pink digital camera. The thick wooden door slammed shut behind her assisted by a creak, and she stopped in the entry way, letting go of her bag to aim her camera and let it flash for a picture. Glancing up and down the hall she hummed a monotone tune. From afar, she must had looked like a misplaced twelve year old, but by the way she grabbed her bag and walked pointedly down the hall toward a staircase might have made someone think twice at her sureness. She looked up the long flight of stairs and shook her head with a sigh. “How tedious.” She said, her voice surprisingly having some depth, and with a snap of her fingers her bag levitated off the floor behind her, its handle retracting back into its compartment. The blonde girl’s shoes clicked up the stairs, her red suitcase bobbing after her as she continued with pictures of the old building.

Elliot wandered from corridor to corridor, skipping through the halls, his ears and hair trailing behind him. He stopped suddenly, his ears stood straight up, he wasn’t alone, he could hear one…no two voices, carefully peaking round the corner, he spotted their owners…and he could swear something smelt like wet dog hair. With his head still poking out, he began to lose himself in thought; wet dog hair, wet grass, fresh morning dew, the Dewey decimal system, cistern, poop…He giggled

Her shoes creaked over the warped staircase, the silence of the school pressing down on her with all its might. Where was the scuffling of shoes, the slamming of lockers, or that loud noise of everyone talking at once? This school was dead compared to her last, and with a sickening twist in her gut she wondered if this was another one of her grandparent’s “tests”. She shook the jitters of panic away, “If there’s a test there’s a way to pass it.” She assured herself. Any test could be passed if you looked at it the right way, really. Finally coming up that l0ng flight of stairs, which tired her legs out since she wasn’t very active, the blonde girl was on her way to her room when a shout called, ” Dude. That was…awesome!”  Her brows raise as she looks down a corridor where two boys were, one on his knees and the other standing tall. She smiles at the thought that tickles her mind, but decides not to pursue it yet. Its not like she knew these people. “Hey there. Is it always this quiet in school or are we just the first ones?” Her face blanched as she moved toward them. “Oh, no, I didn’t arrive a few days before school started, right?” She asked with a sigh.
-
Mica runs very fast up to the girl and looks down on her (he’s 6’2), “Yep. Everyone needs to settle in before school starts.

Deep breath then take the plunge he thought to himself “I guess we are all crawling out of the woodwork then, greetings and salutations or whatever your preferred method of hello is”, Elliot tried to sound upbeat and confident, but the drooping of his ears told the true story of how nervous he was, and why shouldn’t he be, social interaction was terrifying.
-
“Really? Well I guess being early is better than being late…oh, who am I kidding? It is just as bad.” She shook her head, her pale gold hair flying. She settled her eyes up on the taller man again, “I guess it can’t be helped. I’m Eleanor but you can…-”
Eleanor looked at the other male who’d approached them, taking note of his appearance more than anything else…the long white hair, and then the long white bunny ears. She felt something bubble within her stomach, and a laugh of joy came out. “-Bunny ears! Oh god, they’re so cute!” She gushed, walking over to him. She always wanted a bunny, but her grandparents said pets were insufficient and pointless. “A pleasure to meet you. I’m Eleanor Adler, but you can call me Ellie. Or Leanor. And you? What’s your name?” She asked excitedly. Back at home there were some rabbits and other animals she used to talk with in her yard, but after a while her grandparents ran them all off with an exterminator, leaving only the birds to call good morning from far off perches. Now she was talking to someone with rabbit ears but other human features, one that spoke the tongue of humans. She could only wonder what her grandparents would say at the sight.

James scrambles to stand, small balls of light flying in  his hands nervously. New students… Cool, he guessed. “I’, James Alliana, am the coolest illusionist ever.” He gives a small wave, still elated that his illusions could actually work as a physical object.
-
He laughed nervously “I’m Elliot March pleasure to make everyone’s acquaintance, although some people know me as the white rabbit” he disappeared through the nearest door only to reappear behind James “I’ve been wandering about the campus for a few days now, it’s been a bit lonely actually…alley, street, what is the difference between a boulevard and an avenue…sorry I have a bit of a problem with focus” he walked behind James, reappearing beside Mica, he looked up at the giant to his right “do you need a roommate, because i’d be glad of the company and well…you smell like dog which is oddly comforting for reasons I do not understand, I mean I’m a bunny, i should be thoroughly averse to all things canine…and I’m rambling again…sorry”. Elliot felt like a bloody idiot, he’d barely met these people and already he looked like a crazy person, well he was crazy but that was beside the point.
-
“Nice…Illusionist.” She stepped back, regaining her composure from the flurry of “awe” the bunny guy had given her. “Eleanor Adler. Or just Leanor, or Ellie.” She shrugged to him, watching with a grim awe as Elliot disappeared before her very eyes. She blinked, shook her head, before looking again and finding him behind James. That wasn’t logical, but again she herself wasn’t either. She squinted at the two of them, making up her own science as to how they were able to do what they did. She herself was testing how she mentally moved things around scientifically, but had yet to come to an conclusion. Science wasn’t really anything she took seriously though. It was all based off of ‘theory’. She examined the wall, which had a map on it as she felt unwanted in the conversation. Oh well, might as well find her room. She moved over to the map, reaching up to trace her finger to find the number of her room in hall K.
-
Mica fixed his hat and smiled, “Sure, I wouldn’t mind company. And yes, I change into a wolf.” Mica put his hands in his pockets and hums.
-
“And I’m just the short, nerdy sidekick.” James grins, blowing on a ball of light gently and watching it float around the room. “This school is… oddly empty.” He notes, standing up straight and messing with his hair in a nervous tick. He felt uncharacteristically brave and calm about talking to new people.
