Welcome to Escape from Otherworld! (Group for Everyone)
+++
But please note the following first:
**All new arrivals and new rp characters, we ask that you first join Skyrie.net group and Skyrie Sandbox group so that you understand how to get around Skyrie and what’s expected.
**If we find any post we deem irrelevant we will delete it without warning. Use the existing topics as your guide.

This started as a group for fugitives, outcasts and escapees from Facebook. (The group is named after the movie Escape from NY). It’s now a possible starting point for those who wish to explain their arrival in Skyrie through RP. It was renamed to include those that come from other social networks besides facebook.
This group is strictly for rp. Please read the topics and feel free to contribute or start your own journey topic either in the topic area or just posting directly into the group without using the forum.
You are welcomed to come back and fight the malicious monsters that don’t allow the refugees through the borderlands, you can rescue them or you can bring food to the temporary shelter to help those waiting to be rescued.
Thanks to everyone for all your contributions!
FYI: We call this place the borderlands and in here we call facebook (old world) and Skyrie (the new world).
Hope you have fun!

Dangerous Borders: the challenge
Posted by Devilman (Akira D. Amon Fudo) ^Lord of the GalactoseBestiarusz^ on August 21, 2017 at 3:38 pm*The borders between the old world and the new became more dangerous to traverse with the passage of time. An evil wizard alerted the guardians of the old world of the large number of their fugitives and prisoners escaping to the new world. The old world guardians in turn became angered and increased their numbers in the area. They increased the number of their ferocious cyberdogs in order to detect the escape of their refugees. Refugees that were caught going to the new world would be sold to merchants of that world as slaves, others would be returned and tortured in the old world and many would be killed on the spot. The giant old world guardians would thank the wizard for the information provided and created a more challenging and hostile environment for those wishing to cross the borders between the old world and the new.*

*Rising from the sea, Urakaze found an entryway into the new world via an old abandoned seaport. She heard through the sea vine that a new promise land was close by and that the one who gave her new life was in that world.* This is it! *She looks around holding her weapon firmly.* There be some ugly giants here! *she can see some in the distance.* I best stay undiscovered for now. *She ran through the sand and found cover under some palm trees. She could see the old abandoned buildings just ahead. She takes out a compass and looks at it.* Don’t cha worry ’bout me new world! I got cha in my sights! hehe *Makes her way through the desolate resort area and heads into the city keeping her wits about her.*

*Kikuno had stepped into hostile territory. She wanted to make her way into the new world. She knew she was strong enough to take on a giant with ease, her Yato heritage made that all to easy. She just didn’t want to awaken that lust for fighting especially since she was going into a new world and she wanted to change. After having heard from her cousin Kagura how well she was treated by her family, she wanted to visit and to have a chance at remaking her own history.* I admire you little cousin! I hope to be with you and your family soon! *She thought and would smile. She held the heavy purple umbrella which was one of many distinguishing traits of the Yato tribe. She crouched down near an abandoned building. There was a window that allowed her to look around. As she waited for the coast to clear, she made her way through the pathway on the map Kagura sent her. She wasn’t sure if she was ready the map correctly until she saw others carefully making their way to the new world. And then she felt it, the ground made everyone bounce. Kikuno saw a large group of people shivering in fear.* I guess it can’t be helped. *She watched as the giant was approaching them and lept forward towards the giant’s face, she used the full force of her foot to smash its nose and then as it was falling she jumped right on it’s throat. The barbarian giant tried to gasp for air. Kikuno could hear the people who shivered gasp and then run. She was glad they were able to get away. She then jumped to the giant’s chin and jumped up high allowing her to fall downward, she pushed her umbrella in front of her, it was closed and would be used like a dagger to pierce through the giant’s throat. She broke through. Her whole body, hair and dress were soaked in blood. She heard the gurgle of the giant and lept out of his throat.* Tsk, what a shame. I’m all bloodied up now. I better find a nearby stream and wash up. *This is how she ran into Urakaze. They stared at each other and after noticing Urakaze was also crossing the border, she explained what happened to the girl. And went to the side of the beach to wash herself off. She now had someone as company during this trip.*
-
*Urakaze was in utter disbelief. This woman single-handedly took down a giant. As they spoke Urakaze understood this lady to be kind and strong. She would make an excellent companion out of the borderlands. When Kikuno went to wash up, Urakaze tried to lift the umbrella, the sheer weight of it was unreal.* Well, damn! Amazin’! *When Kikuno came back, they started to walk and head through the path that the Yato lady had on her map.* I’m glad cha came along! I would be wanderin’ around in circles! *she smiles* Let’s get the hell outta here!
-
*She squeezes the water out of her hair and puts it in a braid.* I’m glad to have a companion. And it looks like you are capable with weapons. *She noticed her artillery. She bends down to pick up her umbrella and smiles.* It would be wise to get going. I don’t want to have to fight again for now. I really wanted to avoid it.
-
*She couldn’t help but laugh.* That was hardly a fight Miss Yato, it sounded like you just squashed a damn bug under yer feet! *she would grab her items and walk with her eager to see the new world herself.*
-
*She looks at Urakaze.* How did you know my name? I didn’t mention it to you? But if you will call me by a name, please, just call me Kikuno!
-
*She looks at Kikuno* That was a simple enough guess. You’re pale skin, the blue eyes, I noticed you kept outta the sun as you headed towards the waters when there’s water right next to us. You preferred the shaded area. Another give away is your umbrella, heaviest umbrella, I is eva tried to pick up!! And then, there was yer story! Definitely a Yato! *She then introduces herself.* My name is Urakaze! Great to meet you Kikuno!
-
*opens her umbrella to avoid the sun.* I have to say, you’re very observant. I’m glad to meet you as well Urakaze! *the further they went, the closer they got to their destination. They had become friends during their trip and she was happy to have the company.* There’s the tower she pointed. Nothing followed us and we can just go right up. They say, the exit is at the very top of the tower!
-
*She couldn’t believe her eyes. The tower looked like it was gleaming and the door opened almost magically. They walked in and saw the spiral stairs. Followed it all the way to the top and reached the exit. They were met with lots of grass, trees and the feeling of freedom.* We made it! *She bows to Kikuno* A million thanks are in order!
-
*She looks around and smiles. She sensed no danger and the smell of the air was so pure.* We made it! *She would also bow* There’s no need to thank me! I appreciate your company. It made the trip seem so much quicker. Do you know which way you are heading?
-
My compass is telling me to go East! What ’bout you Kikuno?
-
*Kikuno looked towards the west.* It seems our path go in different direction Urakaze. *she would smile kindly at her.* Perhaps our paths will cross again some day.
-
*They said their goodbyes and Urakaze began to walk away* We’ll meet again! Don’t cha worry about it Kikuno! *she waves and heads onward to her own path.*
-
*He had stopped guarding the tower doors long enough to inspect the damage made by his cousin.* So she is here! Kikuno cousin made it to the new world. *He grins and then heads back to the tower doors to keep it safe for those entering.*
