The barkeeper returns, putting a of mead in front of each of them. Minato picked his up and took a long swig from it, “Yeah…” He sighs, putting his glass back down on the table and leaning back in his chair, “A few townspeople have been hurt recently… it’s disconcerting. The priest’s guild’s practically overflowing with injured in the past weeks, really it’s a headache.” He runs a hand through his his hair and leans forward against the bar.
-
“Well if you like I could stick around and take care of the problem.” Arenadd says as he picks up his own mead but doesn’t drink it and just swirls it around.
-
“Really?” He asks, looking towards Arenadd and tilting his head slightly to the side, “You’re strong, then? All we’ve got here is weak knights, usually cant take out more than a couple in a trip and half the time come back full of scratch and broken bones.”
-
Arenadd sets his bow on the table, “Just get me a good shooting position and I can help.”
-
Elis’ tail whips the rear of a wench as she passes by, she turns, spots Arenadd instead and slaps him.
-
Arenadd grabs her hand before it hit him and he looks at her. “I won’t do that if I were you.”
-
The Wench huffs and storms off as Elis slowly sits up, blinking and adjusting his hat.
-
Arenadd looks to Elis. “You better watch your tail before it gets you in trouble.”
-
Elis blinks a couple times before going wide eyed and tucking his tail back into his cloak, blushing.
-
Arenadd looks back to Minato. “So anyways just show me where I can go to help first.”
-
Minato watched their exchange, quietly sipping his drink in slight boredom. Similar acts of mild aggression were typical in the pub, he’d been completely desensitized to it. It took him a second to reply to Arenadd as he’d begun to zone out, “Huh? Oh, yeah.” He turns back to the bar table, then looks up at Arenadd with a smile, his eyes returning to their usual brightness, “If you’d like, we could go into the woods to find the goblin village, they aren’t particularly sneaky so they shouldn’t be hard to track, especially for a hunter like you.”
-
Arenadd nods, “Okay bit I will need to make more arrows.”
-
Minato nods, “If you’ve got some coin, there’s an armory a bit down the road.” He says, downing the last of his mead, “I hear they’re pretty good.”
-
“I prefer to take my own but thank you.” Arenadd says as he stands.
-
Minato nods, hailing the bartender with a hand, then turns around to face Arenadd, “Will you be going now, then?” He asks in response to him standing up.
