“Something like that I guess. I love dark places, my brothers would sneak me with them to hunt in the dark with them and it was always fun but more than anything else it’s a place to escape from all the bad things. In the dark no one can see or hurt you and it’s like you don’t exist anymore. It’s kinda peaceful, so I always would hanged out in the dark alone.” Asona says shrugging a bit, feeling that she was being too dark she decided to bring up a more positive topic. “So what type of fish are we gonna find here?” she asks curiously.
-
Vasanistis nods, “Good, make sure to get a few extra baskets for the rest of the crew.” He says before looking to Dante and nods to him.
-
Gully bows, placing the basket around Dante’s neck before flying towards the ship.
-
Theon chuckled a little, “I see, I have some fond memories of the darkness too, though I’m sure mine are quite different from yours.” He spoke, suppressing a small smirk, covering his mouth with a hand. “Anyway, we’ll probably be able to find some mackerel, maybe a tuna if we’re lucky. They’re good game, big, slow and dumb. I like to try and get them through the head, it’s a bit of a fun challenge.”
Dante took the basket off his neck and returned Vasantis’ nod with a sternly respectful one of his own, “Permission to board ship, sir?” He asked with the same air of tense courtesy.
-
Vasanistis raises an eyebrow, “There is no need to ask permission to board a ship that is your own home.”
-
Dante nodded to him respectfully, “Thank you, sir.” He said, then somewhat hurriedly boarded the ship, dropping the basket off at the galley before deciding to wander the ship for a while, still a little unaccustomed to the layout of the boat.
-
Vasanistis sighs and begins to walk along the beach again.
-
Gully makes two more runs, taking two large baskets each time, smiling down at her catch, before returning to the crow’s nest.
“looks like a storms coming captain” Morgan Calls from the ship.
-
“I used to have hunting competitions with my brothers to see which one of use would get the most food for the week, those days were vert fun especially when we played in teams. but we never had any challenges on stabbing certain areas of the fish.” Asona says happily thinking back to her hunting days. “Ah I miss hunting with my brother, well the good one” she says smiling a bit.
-
Theon chuckled a little, “My brothers were never that big into hunting, all of them are irritatingly straight-laced, I’m kind of the bad apple of the barrel, or at least that’s what they say.” He said, turning around to face Asona, holding his harpoon behind his back casually, “I’d usually just be able to hunt alone, but once in a while I was able to go with a certain childhood friend or take a girl out with me,” He chuckled a little, “That was a surprisingly good way to get some action.”
-
Vasanists nods and looks to the sky then to Gully, “We will stay here till it passes.”
-
“Aie Sir” Morgan calls before barking orders to batten down before the storm hit.
High above Gully gathered her shinies into a bag and launched down to the deck with it in one taloned foot, hopping into shelter.
-
“I have a twin brother that hunts with the our older brothers so he convinced them to let me hunt with them every time they went hunting so it was always a lot of fun.” Asona says happily, “we even kept it a secret from our parents for a while until we got found out for it but I didn’t get in too much trouble from it since they backed me up a bit.” she continues smiling a bit. “But then my mom started getting all serious about me growing up and how I was being childish for hunting with them so hunting started to become something harder to do with them recently…” she says slightly with dissapointment.
-
Theon nodded, “My mother was the same, she always said that I should spend more time studying and learning the laws of the land if I was to become the heir, though I never listened.” He shrugged a little, “My dad always went soft on me, apparently I’m the spitting image of him when he was young, though I cant really see that. I’m sure he thought that because he turned out well, I would too.” he chuckled pridefully, “I bet they’re only finding out that I’ve left now, I’d kill to see the look in their faces, especially my one uppity bastard of a brother.” He frowned slightly, “Ahh, what was his name again…? I forgot. Well, it doesn’t matter anymore.” He said with a shrug.
-
“Responsibilities suck, if only I could just go in life without them then everything would be much better but eventually I need to pay attention to them and take the same paths my mother set out for my older sisters even though all their lives sucks.” Asona says in a irritated tone before looking back at Theon, “that’s a long time for people to notice you went missing, I know for sure my family noticed as soon as they couldn’t find me but I doubt they care too much about it except for some of my siblings and my mom maybe…well more for other reasons..” she says unsure of her statement, and beginning to question herself a bit more.
