Ryuuji looks glances around, not seeing anyone in the area, “They must’ve run. Some players use their sigils to ambush people while they’re off guard.” he glances down at Mio, “I want to scout the area, can you watch over him in the meantime?”
-
Mio hmms, looking over Maxwell as she pulls out some gause and holds it out to him “press this to your wounds.”
-
Ryuuji nods, “I’ll work my way up, once everything is alright, use the game to text me.” He said, putting his gun against his shoulder and beginning to walk further into the building.
-
Mio deftly wrapped the wounds before backing up “tell me something, if you got attacked from behind why are there wounds on your front?
-
“A good fighter knows how to jump someone from behind yet still kill them from the front.” Maxwell says as he weakly pushes himself up.
-
Mio slowly helps Maxwell into a chair “My name is Mio, the guy going upstairs is Ryuji”
-
Maxwell nods some and closes his eyes laying his head back.

Miru ghosted along on a higher floor, grumbling to herself. She hadn’t run into a single other player- how boring…She had hoped that wandering the floors of the hotel would bring more folks to her, but apparently not. She activated her sigil and appeared to vanish, creeping towards the blinking dot on her phone that denoted a ring. It was hanging in the hallway, and she cautiously took it, glancing surreptitiously around.
-
Seeing the ring start moving on her phone she texts Ryuji “did you just get a ring?” before taking up a guard position by the door, looking like a statue of a samurai.
-
Ryuuji feels his phone buzz in his pocket and pulls it out and checks his texts. “No. Someone else got it. They’re nearby. I’m heading over there now.” He turns on the in-game map and follows it to the rings location, arming his gun and pointing it in front of him defensively. Heading down a hall and turning a corner, he reaches the area where the ring should have been, but saw nothing. He armed his gun with a loud click, “Whoever’s here, show yourself or I’ll shoot this place up.” Despite the aggressive demand, his voice sounded perfectly calm and measured.
