Ryuuji nods and shifts the position of the gun over his shoulders, “Then lead the way.” He says, turning to face Jax.
-
Jax nods and grabs Ryuuji’s arm and takes off running with him.
-
Mio shifts slightly on the bench, her phone counting down.
-
Ryuuji allows himself to be pulled along by Jax, jogging a few steps behind him. “Where are we going?” He asks somewhat flatly.
-
Jax glances back at him, “Just trust me.” He says as he stops at an old house that didn’t have anyone living in it. “Here we are. Go up to the second floor and keep a lot out.”
-
Mio starts awake as the other two run past, she skitters back into the alleyways.
-
Ryuuji nods and quickly scales the staircase. On the top floor, he finds a window overlooking the streets of Shibuya and opens it just enough to fit the barrel of his gun out. He turns off the safety in preparation to defend base. Keeping one eye out the window, he watched the final seconds of the timer tick down. The second the timer hit 0,everyone in the densely populated city of Shibuya seemed to get a phone call, then all of them slowly began to walk away. Ryuuji narrowed his eyes slightly, “…that’s how they do it…” He murmurs to himself, adjusting the position of his gun closer to his shoulder for a firmer grip.
-
Jax sits down stairs looking out the window and drawing then he runs his hand over the art book and brings multiple creatures to life but he seems to get weaker He looking even more tired than before and he slowly goes upstairs to Ryuuji.
-
Mio takes a deep breath, her armour materialising around her in the shape of a giant samurai she places herself on a street corner, stock still and trying to look like a statue.
-
Ryuuji turns his gaze from watching the civilians to Jax. He notices how tired he looked pulled his gun out of the room, leaning the gun over his shoulder and sitting with his back against the wall, “You’ve already exhausted yourself?” he scolded, “The event has barely started, you’ll be useless if you cant even run. This isn’t like an ordinary event.” He puts his gun back on his shoulder and turns back towards the window, “Rest for now, you’ll need your strength later.”
-
Jax smiles tiredly at him, “Don’t worry about me. I was just making sure the front door was guarded.” He says as he sits down and leans against a wall.
-
Mio clomps along the street, watching carefully up and down each street leading to the house.
-
Ryuuji nods, facing the window and manning his gun once again, “Alright. The other players have probably apportioned by now. Tell me when the event objective is announced. I hear these sort of things usually have an objective.”
-
Some minuets later, a soft jingle plays from Ryuuji’s phone. He produces it from his coat pocket and glances down at the screen, a notification from Gu. He stares down at his phone for a moment, reading the words on the announcement, then glances back up at Jax, “It’s a collectathon.” He begins to explain, “It’s game over for all players who don’t collect three rings by the time the game is cleared or 24 hours from now. The first wave of rings have been scattered. Have a good time!” He read the final line spitefully, “it looks like there are 100 rings to 100 players.”
