King of the Urn
In ancient China, there was a legend known as Gu. One would place one hundred poisonous insects in an urn. The insects will be forced to kill each other for survival, the last one left alive is the king of the urn, said to have the powers of the killed insects, the Gu.

Mio places Sui down with a nod, merging the ring into her armour again. “”I say we risk it.”

Sui looks down apologetically and bowed slightly, “I… I’m really sorry, I didn’t want to… but he made me do it…” She picks her head up and looks at Jax, “I promise I won’t hurt you… So… please forgive me!” Ryuuji, too, glances at Jax and shrugs in a way that said, ‘you’re call.’ Then looks back at Mio, “I agree, might be easier than running around the city.” He agrees.

Jax chuckles and smiles, “Your fine kid.” His smile fades a bit as he thinks, “But who is it that you ate talking about? The one who “made you do it.”

Sui flinches slightly at the question, “No one important,” She mumbles, “…It doesn’t matter…” Ryuuji, who had only been half listening to their conversation in favor of polishing his gun, suddenly came to attention, “That’s a lie. A big lie. Don’t keep stuff from us.” He said, then pointed the gun her as a threat, although it was disarmed, “You’ll say it now.” He said in a low gruff voice. Sui stepped back and hugged herself tightly, “I-it was my brother…” She answers. Ryuuji put his gun down and stepped back, “She’s still hiding something…” he said somewhat quietly to Jax

Mio gently bonks Ryuuji on the head “don’t scare her” she scolds, “she’s just a child”

Jax looks at Mio then back to Sui then he slowly goes to her. “You’ll be okay. We won’t hurt you. I promise.

Sui nods and holds one of her arms behind her back, “Ah… thank you…” Ryuuji puts his hand against his helmet, “Hey! It’s not even loaded.”

Jax looks back at Ryuuji.

Ryuuji sighs slightly and puts his gun over his shoulder, “Anyway, we should get going if we want to get to those other three rings before someone else takes them.” He said, looking to each of the others in turn, “You guys ready?”

Mio straightened and saluted.

Ryuuji chuckles slightly, “Then lets get going.” He says, replacing the empty clip in his machine gun with a fresh one and beginning to walk in the direction of the next rings. Sui jogged a few seconds forward and stood next to Mio, glancing between her and Ryuuji.

Jax whistles and Skull comes running over and he climbs onto the large wolf’s back then follows Ryuuji.

Ryuuji falls into step beside Jax and the wolf. “I’m not sure, but it might be an ambush. Once we get in there, its possible someone will try to kill us.” He said sternly, “If you want to lead this one, you can trust me to watch your six.”

Jax looks to him and nods, “Okay but I have a better idea than just rushing in there.” He pulls out his scetch book and Skull stops. “Stand still for a sec.”

Ryuuji nods and stops beside Jax, shifting his gun behind his back and stretching out his arms, “Alright, what’s your plan?”
