“Hm… What should I do? … Summer Vacation gets so boring after a week,” Zeran, a brown-haired 18 year-old boy, mumbles to himself while riding the bus. His sister came back from the hospital, only to go right back. He was lonely by himself. So very lonely. He sighs, “What do I do… Mother, what do I do?” He chuckles to himself, ” I know what she’d tell me, ‘Decide with your heart’, heh, I don’t know what’s left of it.”
Zeran accidentally drifted off into slumber. He soon wakes with a start, “What the heck was that?!” He then looks around, “This doesn’t look like any place I’ve been to before… Where the heck is this? …Mogeko…?” A sign had caught his attention. “Crap! I’ve missed my stop! How long is it going to take to get home?!” He mentally kicks himself for falling asleep and walks out of the buss. Nothing here seems familiar at all. He explores a bit more. Nothing, except for a bunch of papers on the fences. “What are all these about? They seem so random…” he looks foward, a giant castle lies in the distance. He whistles, “man, that’s huge… who knew that castles were still around?”
He pulls out his pocket knife and enters the castle….

“La la la la,” Echoing through the halls was Miu-ko’s haunting lullaby, her voice as sweet as silk, and yet bored to death. “La la la la. Hmm…”
Her two black eyes roll up to the shackles whose chains looped into a hook high above her head. It was interesting, that if only she was free, she could be with Moge-ko again. “Mmh…” A plan was forming in her mind, even now.

Hearing the song, Zeran instantly became fearful. “Dang it, what psychopath resides here? … oh right. Moge-ko. Of course. The dream. Duh…” Still scared as heck, he follows the lullaby to its source, expecting Moge-ko to hop out at him at any time. Of course, she does… to steal his knife and leave it on the floor next to him and runs away. “DANG IT, MOGE-KO!!!” Zeran yells after her. Noticing that the lullaby has not ended yet, he continues to follow.

After she had successfully tricked the mogeko, Miu-ka gleefully swung the prosciutto over his head. Stealing it was easy, and now he was in chains. This gave her no small amount of joy.
“Waaaa! You are mean, Mew-chan!”
“Nya!? Don’t say my name like that. For this transgression, I won’t give this to you.” The magenta haired girl left the tasty treat behind just out of reach, when she heard a voice. This voice was strange-not like the other moge-tans. It was a young man’s voice.
She hurries to a place where she lays in hiding, humming her tune while she waits for the visitor. If I like him, we will have great fun! If I don’t… well, I can figure that part out later.
“Mmh hm mh. La la la la-a~”

“Definitely not Moge-ko…” He breathes a sigh of relief… then gets a worse thought, “Probably something worse… Dang it, should I follow?” He grits his teeth, thinking hard on what could happen. “Gah…” he takes his pocket knife back out and holds it in front of him as he turns the corner. “Wha…!?”

The bars of the cell around that corner snap shut, and a voice like honey can be heard in the shadows.
Miu-ka’s deep blue eyes shine back light from the torches along the wall. “Hey, you aren’t a Moge-tan…” A key hangs around her neck. She looks human, until she steps into the light. Like Moge-ko, she is not human. She leans forward, sniffing like a dog. “You smell… human.”
The blue in her eyes turns into ice, as her pupils snap into slits.

Zeran starts thinking immediately. Think fast, think fast!
“Um, hello? I’m not human. I’m a… a Dandy! We fight better than the humans and can outsmart them” Pretty true in my case, I guess. The smell attracts them to me. Again, kinda true… ugh, my school sucked…

The girl tilts her head all the way to the side. “Are you sure, because if you are human, and you are lying to me…” Her small fingers wrap around something at her side. It has an edge that glints in the light.
I swear, I remember that scent. There is no mistake. But if he is telling the truth, it changes things. It changes everything. She thought to herself, her eyes distrustful. If he is human, then this will be fun, either way.

Crap, crap, crap, crap!
“Trust me, I hate my scent too. Do you think I want to smell like those disgusting things?” Once again true, I hate being a human… or being associated with the bad ones.

“They aren’t disgusting.” She pulled back, her body relaxing. “It’s just… that you can’t trust them.”
A sigh escapes past her lips, and her brow un-furrows as she brightens. “But… since you aren’t human, we can be friends!” Her eyes close, and she smiles, offering her hand. Tiny claws mount each finger. “My name is Miu-ka.”

“Call me whatever you want, though where I’m from, I’m called Zeran.” He shakes her hand. <i>Dang, she’s cute! </i>”So… um… know where I can get a sword?”
(man, that would make for an awesome twist… if he actually wasn’t human)

“Oh, well, if you want, you can go to the arena… and if you win, you will get a reward…probably a weapon.” She smiles brightly, grabbing for his hand. “I’ll take you there.” The door opens with a menacing creak, but Miu-ka walks with a skip in her step.

I’m horrified, yet I’m attracted… What the heck is wrong with me?!
“Well, that’s sweet! Thanks!” and Zeran is almost dragged the entire way.

Miu-ka finally stops, and puts forth a hand invitingly. “It is just ahead.” She giggles quietly, and waves around a sickle. “Now, get your weapon ready. It won’t be easy in there.” Her eyes paled, and her smile was disturbingly hard to read. “But if it gets too rough, don’t worry… I’ll help you.”
