Leviathan shrugged, ” Extra water?”  The words phrased like a question and yet, the woman held out her glass expectantly to the waiter. She also tucked in her tentacles, twisting and folding them up within the small confines of her backpack so as not to alarm too many of the restaurant patrons. She didn’t want to be kicked out before she finished her chow.  She savored the taste of the light fried batter while pulling out her own smart-phone and typing down a few notes, including the location of the house she would be breaking into.  She had never pulled off a job this high profile before. Planting illegally downloaded files and incriminating evidence onto normal laypersons’ computers was an easy job for her and Simon,, resulting in easy blackmail. Tackling the district attorney meant much more risk for a far greater gain. Leviathan passionately forked three more mouthfuls of squid into her face as she thought. The most important thing would be to hide her face and scout out the place.  A man important as that in such a crime ridden area might have dogs, bodyguards or worse and she wanted this to go without a hitch. Her phone chimes in with a news report from the Neon District. Curious, she clicks the link to the city’s main news website and  looks for more information about the chaos and pandemonium occurring there.

A few minutes later, the heavily disguised Lucas was making his way through the back alleyways of the arclight district. He hadn’t been in this district since the cult days, but that gang was long dead and gone. However, he did remember a few key places, even if they wouldn’t know him. After all, he had a new face, and it had been years.

His wanderings brought him to the very same seedy mechanics shop, where he tossed back his hood. “I’ve heard you’re quite the capable man, Simon. I’ve got a bit of a project I’m hoping you’ll take me up on. It’s surveillance based. You can name your price. Interested?”

His red eyes morphed to a deep, oceanic blue as he spoke. Lucas spoke confidently, with an irresistibly likable smile. Of course, there were other shops if Simon refused, but old memories led him here. Perhaps memory was even a bad word- it had been so long it was almost like instinct. But sometimes you just gotta go with your gut.

Rivyena used her hands and feet to run away from the pole’s range, passing under empty tables, and jumping over a empty table close by, Asuza roled under the pole and used the bar close by as a barricade as she mumbled something over her radio

“BAR FIGHT! I BET 10K ON MYSELF!” she smirked while picking two .45 pistols from a attachment under her dress and watching the the thugs from her, not so, high position, half a second later a bullet came through the ceiling and severed the iron pole in a half
“Hey Asuza, bringing campers to a bar fight is against the rules!” a sonorous *fuck you rivy* came from behind the bar

Charlie dashes out of his room, pushing his window open he steps back to make a run up before leaping it the window and spreading his wings wide. He figured he’d boost his own confidence that way, feeling daring yet in a small amount of pain he soars, exercising his wings and stretching before the dread of the lab. He looked down, seeing people walk below he flaps his wings which make small eary screeches which hurt but he knew he had to keep out of site.

Without the appearance which made him BlackBurn he was merely the mutant guitar player many recognised from their passing of his regular corner. He flew higher, keeping an eagle eye on the city below him as he flew over the many districts, further and further from his apartment in Haven,

Jericho looks at his phone, the message coming immediately. “Well that was helpful.” He said simply. Now he didn’t have to follow any leads, he could get right to the action. The message read of the Inferno club, he could be there in 2 minutes, screw 5.

He walked out, hands behind his back, and with a quick look around to make sure no one was watching took to the air, at super speeds, and was at the Inferno club in a minute 30 seconds, landing down behind the club and rounding about. “Now where is big boy….” He said, watching the front of the exit, and looking around for potential weapons he could just skewer him with and be on his way. Telephone poles, Railings, Iron Studs, Cars, Mail boxes… anything metal will do, long as its dense enough to get through him.

He smiled, spying a nearby car, with the wheels on bricks, and sat on top of it, waiting for his target to show himself. He checked his phone, and set his timer for 2 minutes. “Should be about the time this huge necked fuck comes around here.” He said to himself, pulling out a malleable piece of aluminum from his pockets, and playing around with it, making it into several shapes through magnetism, a star, a cube, and just a few other simple things.

Simon turned to look at the stranger who just entered through the door. The shopkeeper’s arms were filled with an open cardboard box filled with scrap parts and a variety of devices, some of which might have been stolen but he carefully twisted to place the box down onto the plastic counter at Lucas’ words.  The kid had one of those convincing smiles as he introduced the start of what he felt in his gut to be a very lucrative business deal.  “I’m very interested, but give me just a second. Don’t want anyone walking in on us.” With that, the owner switched off the neon “OPEN” light on the outside of the door, and closed the window blinds. The doors unfortunately  only locked from the outside, but at least pesky customers wouldn’t come barging in. “You came to the right place. ”  Simon had fished out a small  notepad from his pocket, intending to take notes in a messy scrawl legible only to himself as he looked towards Lucas intently with sharp, observant eyes. “So what kind of surveillance are we talking?”

“Portable. I’m looking for a way to see from multiple perspectives at once. What I had in mind was glasses based. A screen on a pair of glasses, or some other sort of visor. I’d prefer movable cameras, but I’m willing to bet the city has enough surveillance themselves. Hacking into that network could be sufficient if you’re not up for the complexity involved in some sort of drone or robot system.”

Lucas left a pause, letting the general idea sink in. “But then, you’re the expert, aren’t you? I think you understand what I’m looking for. If you can think of a better way, I’m all ears.”

    —-ARCLIGHT DISTRICT—-

    (Inside the club) (Rivy)

“Burn. Bitch.”  The fiery juiced hissed as he inhaled and breathed molten fiery liquid at Rivy as she hid under the table. The roid fueled EZ walks over to the bar. And then rips up a rough 500 lb chunk of it as he chucks it at Rivy’s body guard. As they fight, the juiced calls out to the EZ. Get the guys on the roof.” “Leave a piece of her for me hombre.” He runs up the stairs to go deal with the guys on the roof.

The juiced who remains inside dives behind a counter. Not wanting to stay out the in the open.

In the chaos of the club, anyone who had guns were shooting. The FFM members went off into the bathroom. They catch a couple in there who are frantically putting their clothes on. “I don’t wanna fight that bitch on my own terms.”

    (Outside) (Jericho)

Jericho’s target was in sight. He was rushing to bust in the club, and help out his home boy. He was sprinting very fast at around 35 mph. His footsteps could be felt for a ways and they dented the concrete.

    (In the restaurant) (Kraken)

And decides to come back with water. Then moves on to another table. Kraken looks up the activity in the Neon district. Social media generally is blowing up. That is where the news is actually getting a lot of their pictures from. Now everyone is estimating the creature currently there on a rampage is maybe 50 feet tall. A few stories. The size may have been over exaggerated, but this creature is noted to be rather fast and very powerful. 50 feet isn’t Godzilla sized, but it was nothing to snuff at….

Around 50 people are confirmed deceased and many, many more injured.

    —-NEON DISTRICT—-

    (Charlie)

Charlie saw all the districts. The city was bright, Artemis, Haven and Green districts were all busy as always. The Axel district was a deadzone. The Neon district…well…it was partially on fire and a few buildings have already collapsed from the rampaging monster who appeared not too long ago.

Was not alone in the skies as a squadron of 3 F-35 fighter jets sped by at 600 miles per hour right past him. He didn’t show up on radar because of his size and nobody seemed to notice him. In the Neon district, the creature could be seen as it stood….

    Kaiju

It opened it’s enormous maws, as it began to glow along it’s stomach and then to it throat. People began to clear. They knew what came next….A beam of molten plasma shot from it’s mouth. It burned, melted or straight ionized anything in it’s path. It drilled deep into the ground, towards the sewers and the beam cut an entire building in half. One 6 story building collapsing on itself.

It’s mouth cools as it continues forward, and Jet unleash 3 Hellfire AGMs upon it. The missiles collide with it and knock it into the side of a building. The beast quickly recovers

On the ground level, people scramble below to get inside somewhere safe and out of the way. Though some people are trapped under debris, wounded by the explosions and countless other things. All men, women and even some children hurt…or worse.

It picks up a minivan and throws it like a baseball at the Jets, who steer away from it as it misses them. They are very far away and hard to hit. However, the mini van it threw happens to heading straight for Charlie.

Rivy rolled a to the side and unloaded half her pistol ammo on the guy who tried to burn her’s head, her left was burning and the fire was starting to spreed through her shoulder and hair “surprise! the roasted bitch is still alive!” she said with a grim while getting up and aiming at the other EZ head with her right arm’s pistol

Rivy’s body guard still under effect of the stimulants managed to heard someone picking up part of the bar, she quickly got up while unloading her SMG at the man’s torso, pinpointing his vital points, hopping that was enough to stop him from throwing the whole thing at her

The electronics owner blinked once as he took a moment to process the sheer scale of what was being asked of him before his brain kicked into gear to figure out exactly what would be needed for such an enormous project and the most efficient way to go about doing it. Once Simon had come to a conclusion, he nodded, “Creating a city-wide surveillance system from scratch would take far too long if you’re hoping to have this done within the near future, but there are a few gaps in the city’s coverage. How’s this for a plan? I could hack into the network for you and direct the feed to your glasses, no problem. In addition, I could give you a small number of mobile camera drones to use at your discretion. While the entire surveillance wouldn’t be mobile, you would be able to direct the drones to areas you deem need additional attention. Also, how soon do you need to have this system set up? I can set up your glasses to hack into the city’s network but if you want camera drones I’ll need some extra time to gather parts and program them.” Simon gave a slight shrug, “The longer I have, the more I can give you. ”

Leviathan was currently riveted by the news update streaming in from her phone from Neon District. Not only had that monster from the Green District attacked but now this 50 ft behemoth! The death count continued to rise, making the postal woman very thankful to be safe and sound in the Italian restaurant, chowing down on calamari. She began attempting to doodle a picture of the monster onto her napkin, according to the few blurry pictures received from the media when it first attacked.
