[Wake]

Nagisa sat with his back to the wall of the hospital, knees tucked up to his chest. His gaze was fixed to the ground and didn’t notice Koharu follow him out.

[Jazzy]

Koharu gets out of the hospital, looking up and down the road. He then looks down, seeing Nagisa sitting there. His eyes lower a bit and he frowns. “Hey buddy,” he says calmly, sitting down next to him and resting his hand on Nagisa’s shoulder. “What’s wrong?”

[Wake]

Nagisa startles slightly, he hadn’t noticed Koharu until he felt his touch. He looks up to him but quickly returns to staring at the ground, “…It doesn’t matter… I don’t deserve your concern anyway…” He murmurs, hunching over a little more.

[Jazzy]

Koharu moves closer to him, rubbing his shoulder. “No. Nagisa, I want to know what’s going on. I want to help you. Everyone is having a bad day and I want to turn that around…what’s wrong? Seriously. You’re 100% worth my time.” he stays frowning, he had a little bit of concern in his eyes.

[Wake]

Nagisa shakes his head a little, still looking down, “I just don’t like hospitals… I never have…” he hugs his knees closer to his chest.

[Jazzy]

Koharu looks away. He exhales loudly, taking his hand off of Nagisa’s shoulder. “I know. Hospitals are pretty uncomfortable to be in. I don’t think anyone likes them. Just so you know,” Koharu turns back to Nagisa, smiling only a little bit. “I’m not going to force you in the hospital, you don’t have to go inside if you don’t want to. It’s totally fine.” he pats Nagisa’s head, ruffling his hair. He stands up. “I’ll be inside, you stay here, okay?”

[Wake]

Nagisa nods, still looking down. He pulls his knees closer to his chest and buries his head in his knees.

[Jazzy]

“I’ll be back out in in 5 minutes.” Koharu gives Nagisa a slight reassuring nod. He opens the hospital doors and walks inside. Just as he walked in, doctors and nurses are picking up Fang and putting him on a bench. They quickly roll him down the hallway. Koharu watches as Fang and all the nurses and doctors take him away. He walks up to the desk, leaning on it and looking at the front desk lady. “Um. Sorry to ask, but…will he be alright?”

The lady picks her head up, shrugging. “It depends, really.” she pauses, typing on her computer. “So, what happened?” she asks.

“Beat up.” Koharu answers, tapping his finger on the desk rapidly.

“By who?” the lady stops typing, giving Koharu her full attention.

“I’m not sure…” Koharu looks down, biting his lip.

Fang whimpers when he is moved.

[Jazzy]

The front desk lady cracks her fingers, she looks up at Koharu, nodding. “Ah, well, I believe one of your friends is out there,” she points her finger to the hospital doors. “You should go out there. I’m sure they wouldn’t want to be left all alone. If anything comes up about the kid, I’ll go out there and call you in. I’m guessing your the kid’s father, is that correct?” the lady takes out a sticky note and pen.

Koharu lets out a laugh, he shakes his head. “Oh God no. Just a friend taking him to the hospital. We actually only met today. His name’s Fang.”

“Sorry! I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to!” her hands wave in front of Koharu’s face.

Koharu chuckles, leaning on the counter. “No, it’s fine. Really. But I should get back out there…Thank you again for taking Fang in on such a quick notice.”

The lady quickly writes down Fang’s name on the paper and shoos Koharu away playfully. Before Koharu walks off, the lady speaks up, standing out of her chair. “The name’s Destiny, by the way!”

Koharu smiles, taking note of her name. He walks out of the building, sitting next to Nagisa again. “Hey, kiddo.” he says softly.

[Wake]

Nagisa picks his head up and glances at Koharu, “Hi…” He murmurs, then looks back down. He slowly leans his head on Koharu’s shoulder, “…I’m tired… I want to go back to my dorm…”

[Jazzy]

Koharu smiles, turning his head just a little bit to look at Nagisa. “Ah, well. Fang is still in the hospital and the receptionist was going to tell me what was going to happen with him…So I guess I have to stay here for now. I want to take you home, though. It might get dark soon. How far away is your dorm?” he asks, keeping a calm tone.

“…It’s next to the university, not sure where that is though…” Nagisa picks his head up from Koharu’s shoulder and glances at him, “Is it far?”

Fang groans softly as his eyes open a bit.

“I imagine it’s a bit far due to us taking a train to the hospital. If we were to take a train back to where we came from it wouldn’t be far to go to the university by foot.” Koharu nods at Nagisa. “But do you mind if we stay just a little bit longer? I’ll have to see if Fang is staying the night here, which I’m sure he will.” he gives Nagisa a little smile.
