Maylee was curious now. She stood up and walked to the door. She was used to getting secrets out of people, but she wasn’t doing her job. This girl hasn’t turned her away yet, so she wouldn’t go where she didn’t belong…yet.
She decided just to go see what was happening outside. Maybe she’d see these young cadets wrangling a werewolf back to the base. She could use a good laugh. Judging by the reaction of the girl, something must be amiss.
She walked out the door and stood towards the forest, knife still in hand. Just in case. She leaned against the wall and watched for signs of action within the trees.

Max walks back to Kissa, putting his hands on her shoulders, he turned her in the direction of the compound. “It’s over there,” he answered. He took off his hands and started to walk off with Kissa slightly behind him.
Once out of the woods he looks up to see someone he was not familiar with. She had long, straight black hair and once he got closer he saw that she had grey eyes. She must be someone important to be here. Walking over to the girl, He said “Kissa got hurt. You should help her.” He said, indicating the girl behind him. Looking back at the girl in front of him. Waiting for her to say something, impatiently. After a few seconds he walks back to his dorm, bored, and he still had some unfinished things to do. -
Sitting at a large bank of screens, Bell rapidly taps in commands into a large computer. After a moment an image is projected onto the space before her. Placing on a headset she speaks at the projected little figures.
Near Rei in the forest
A small screen pops out of a nearby tree showing a furious Bell. “Rei!!! Report!!! What is this spike in paranormal-activity a few minutes ago?!!!! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING THEM!!!! OH SHIT!!! Someone’s back…I got to check in on this…”
Running outside she notices Maylee holding a small body. -
Kissa closes her eyes, swaying and falling over into the surprisingly strong arms of this unfamiliar girl. She’s starting to feel woozy, but she didn’t have to worry about walking anymore because the girl sighs and picks her up completely, carrying her inside.

The three walk a good half hour through the forest but it seemed like they hardly moved at all; the scenery was still just filled with a bunch of rather compact trees as green as ever. That made it more enjoyable for a walk since it was too hot and bright out to walk directly under the sun. For some reason neither of the other two had moved onto a path, so the girl excitedly wondered if they were leading her to a secret place – a hideout maybe! She figured that with any luck it would be one of the caves (she has been much too scared to enter any on her own).
Suddenly a high-pitched screech pierced the air. It wasn’t any kind of sound an animal could make – at least any animal she knew. By the way that the screech was hurting her ears a bit even at such a large distance the girl could tell that her master was calling her. As much fun as cave exploring is, she’d have to give it up to go the call.
So, she spun to face squirrel boy and bacon girl quickly uttering a “I gotta go. Goodbye!” and was off. Without sparing so much as a glance behind she tore through the trees, making a mad dash straight in the direction she heard the noise coming from. Eventually the girl makes it to the open area before the officer’s mess hall. Not being able to see her master anywhere, she began running around some more in search.
-
Sandy turned as he heard the werewolf girl’s hurried farewell, catching the sight of her back disappearing into the forest. His green eyes widened as he barked in surprise, “Crystal! She ran off that way!” The boy tugged on his companion’s sleeve once before tearing off after the running lycan. Although he wasn’t nearly as fast as the werewolf, he could at least keep track of where and in which direction she was going.
His chase led him back to the training facility, “Huh? she went back here!?” Sandy looked around in confusion, seeing tracks leading all over the place. His heart was beating manically, so he stopped to lean over his knees and rest long enough to catch his breath.

As Maylee watched the forest, she started to see some bodies emerge into the clearing of the base. A boy and a girl came walking up to her. The girl looked like she had seen better days. The boy asked her to help the girl…but she just glared back at him. She just wanted to observe what kind of place this was. But then the girl swayed in her direction and fell into her.
Maylee let out a disgusted sigh, and hoisted the girl up into her arms. She could sense the darkness and fear within her. She had tortured her kind before. All she wanted to do was take her into a room and pry into her brain until she released whatever this darkness was that she sensed within. It would be so easy, with her already in such a beaten state. A smile started to creep across her face, but then she caught her host out of the corner of her eye.
She turned and faced the girl who fed her. “I think this belongs to you” she said, and started to walk inside. As she started to walk a wolf-creature came running by, causing Maylee to stumble a bit. She grumbled under her breath and walked inside. She was reaching her last nerve, and she noticed herself squeezing the arm of the girl she carried. It helped a little bit with the current situation.
She continued to walk inside and found what seemed to be an infirmary and dropped the girl onto a bed.
“Someone might want to take a look at this.”

Reiji nodded as Max had picked up for him- once again, in a way. He offered a sort of half smile, half smirk as he watched the two depart, then pivoted around to continue on his watch. He made several steps toward the closest tree, his legs just about ready to spring back into the comforting shadows of the canopy, just before a piercing screech rang through his ears. He visually winced and quite nearly doubled over from the shock, from the break in his obviously detached concentration. Scowling, he shot his gaze toward the direction of the camp’s complexes, his gut churning and knotting in that odd sense of anticipation. Did something else happen already?
His perception had dipped some after cooling down from that quick dose of adrenaline rush that was that little hunt, but already he felt it shooting back to life. His vision intensified, being able to see the surrounding area and notable figures- live figures- in direct contrast; of gray scale and color, all without the HUD of his mask. He was tempted to flash step back into camp, noting that the wisps of color that represented sentient targets- like the cadets- began clustering to an arrangement of white against the black backdrop and gray ambiance- the camp complex.
His feet were already on the move, but before he could take off again- again, might he reiterate, another screech rang in his ears once more, but this time it was a static sort of reverberation. The mercenary hissed as his hand flew to the side of his visor, where it functioned as an ear piece. Was… was he getting a signal? Hell, Bell had signals even here? He noticed that when they were at the training hall, yes, but even out in the forests and he wasn’t let on the same side to be able to access information for his benefit?
Tch, I really need to press about that…
His thoughts was cut off as a convenient but all too familiar screech of a voice shrilled into his ears, not even wincing at the volume anymore. He had to bite down a hiss of a retort, his eyes flashing to a fierce silver behind his mask before cooling back down to a calmer albeit slightly irritated slate. He had to stay at a reasonable distance if he were to be able to watch over all of the cadets in such a vast expanse that is this forest. He would have been able to reach the scene a lot sooner if the situation wasn’t as immediate and initially obscure as it was- and if he wasn’t in the dark, both literally and technically. But regardless, he did the best he could in improvisation, and he managed to reach the scene just in the nick of time before the cadet sustained any more damage from that outlandish monster.
… Right?
He sighed to himself. He opened his mouth to respond, but the window of opportunity to speak a word wasn’t given to him as Bell nearly severed the connection just as quickly as he connected. Oh for heavens sake… With a scowl, Reiji dashed off into a whirling blur, leaving the faintest hint of an afterimage in his wake.

I landed beside Sandy, having traveled over the trees using my wings, which were now hidden once more. I adjusted my sweater and approached the lycan, my voice soothing. “Shhh…. It’s ok, calm down. Can you tell me what’s got you all riled up?” I asked, holding out my hand gently.

Kissa takes a sharp breath in when the person carrying her begins digging her nails into her skin, but quickly silences the pain and herself when she senses the pure malice emanating from her carrier, a good portion of it directed at her. Kissa still has her eyes closed, and her body is completely limp and unresponsive. If this girl wanted, she could probably kill Kissa right now and claim it was the injuries she sustained. But instead she is set down on something soft, and the girl herself leaves.
-
Bell followed them inside. She bits her bottom lip as she looks worriedly at the unconscious Kissa on the bed. Turning around Bell rushes over to the cabinets that cover the far wall, and starts pulling out vials of clear and pale liquids. “Lets see…Sleep, healing, Homo sapien tranquilizer, where’s that freaking Fox-Tranq? I know it’s in here somewhere. Ah ha! Got it!” Holding the vials carefully in one hand, she grabs a mixing beaker and a syringe with a steel needle and carries them over to a small table. Carefully Bell measures out various proportions of five of the fluids before draining the mixture into the syringe. “Ok then. Well here we go…” Bell walks back over to Kissa’s bed. “Move out of the way”, She tells Maylee.
“Kissa, I need you to listen to me. I am going to restrain you now. It is just a security precaution to protect the both of us, alright?” Saying this she presses a button next her bed, causing wool lined titanium clamps to spring up from the edges of the bed to fasten around Kissa’s waist, arms and legs.
Holding tightly onto Kissa’s left arm, Bell plunges the syringe into her wrist in her ulnar artery.

Arron deciding that he has spent enough time out in the woods. They will probably be looking for me if I stay out any longer. He silently walks out of the forest. As he walks out he notices some commotion. His pace quickens. Once he reaches the end of the forest, he sees the others rush into the building. He quietly follows them inside, though he is a bit behind them. He loses sight of them for a minute, but quickly finds the door to the infirmary. He enters the room. Seeing Bell give Kissa a syringe. “What happened?”
-
Kissa shudders against the restraints as she feels Bell slip the needle into her skin, letting out an inhuman shriek. Her nails lengthen and sharpen into claws, shredding through layers of blankets. She grits her teeth, feeling them sharpen. “Do it again.” She growls opening her eyes and looking at Bell.
“Kissa- you’re awake?!” Kissa growls again, more of an animal noise than a human one.
“DAMNIT BELL IT’S GONNA TAKE A LOT FUCKING MORE THAN THAT TO PUT ME OUT,SO DO IT AGAIN BEFORE I LOSE CONTROL!” Kissa yells even as her vision jumps back and forth between hypersensitivity and blurriness.
Bell comes back with another needle and another, and finally Kissa drops away into nothingness.
✴ Kissa slumps back down, unconcious once again✴ -
Maylee stands back and watches as people gather around and show concern for the fox-girl.
She starts off giggling as the girl screams, and slowly rises to a maniacal laugh as the situation intensifies.
-
Bacon girl’s attempts to cool the girl down aren’t working, but at least she staying in one place. For a few seconds she turns towards bacon girl with confusion written on her face. She then decides to low-five bacon girl’s hand and reply,”I’m trying to find my master. She called me.” Looking around she spots a man in all black heading to the infirmary. “I think the nurse’s room has a lot of stuff going on. I’m going there,” and once again she runs off.
As she nears the room she could hear a lot of indistinguishable screaming. When she enters the little girl sees a few people watching as a fox thing is stuck to one of the patient beds gets a few shots. The crazy fox thing seems to be the one that was yelling as it’s foaming at the mouth, though the shouting has started dying down and is turning into more of a slurred mumble like master has when she drinks too much. In another part of the room is some hysterical broad laughing her head off, something that the little girl can understand a little she supposes.
Amid the excitement the little girl finally realizes who was giving the shot. Her face lighting up, she waits until the crazy fox is fast asleep before tackle-hugging the shot-giver. “Sorry I was so slow, master!”
