*Since the rest of the family was going in and out of the other rooms. She found a tranquil room where she could serve her nephews sweet tea and snacks while they waited for her son Night to arrive. She did her best to explain things to the Nox and Summa and tried to keep them calm and comfortable. But she knew that their reactions to Night could not be predicted. She would have them take a seat next to each other. She opened the screen doors so they could see outside. She the went to the kitchen. In a short while she returned with water, some sugar cookies and sweet tea. She sat down and looked at them.* I hope you’re ready he’s almost here.

[Nocturnus & Summäneus (NighttimeFlameTwinSugarBeasts)]

*They both sat down next to each other. Nox looked defiant but Summa looked innocently and anxiously towards the door. They were both curious to see who their father was and what he looked like. *

Summa: *Summa enthusiastically responded.* Hai! I’m ready!

Nox: *elbows Summa but stays quiet.*

*Helena could hear Night heading for the door. She stood up and met him there. She kissed him and smiles.* Just be yourself Night son, and have patience with them. They are young and might have a lot to tel you. *She stands aside so he can walk in. She closes the door to the room and sits near it.*

*Night greeted his mother and watched her as she sat next to the door to maintain privacy for them. Night was actually nervous. He looks at his two boys. He couldn’t believe they were his and he didn’t know about them til now. He sits across from them and studies their features. They look like Shimei but they also look like him. He doesn’t know what to do with himself as he stares at his two sons. He finally gets up the courage to smile and greet them.* Hi! I’m your father, NightSyn! But um, family calls me Night.

*Both boys would stare for a while at Night, they were speechless for a while. They didn’t know what to say. They got nervous and looked over to their grandmother.*

*She could see they were asking for a little ice breaker. So Helena stepped in and introduced them to night.* Night son, these are your sons Nocturnus & Summäneus. *She points at Nocturnus who looks defiant and has his arms crossed.* Nocturnus’ nickname is Nox. And this *she points at Summäneus who has a more laid back and accepting expression on his face* is Summäneus, he likes to be called Summa. *She then puts cookies in their plates and pours them all tea. She looks at the boys.* Night is really your father Nox and Summa. It’s alright to approach him if you like.

*He chuckled a bit.* So Mou-chan somehow named them after me. *he looks at them* Both your names mean night, to put it more plainly. *he picks up a sugar cookie as he tries to lighten the mood for them.* Nox and Summa! You two are my sons and you have cool names.

Nox: *He kept his arms crossed and kept quiet. He wasn’t amused by his father.*

Summa: *He gets up and walks over to Night, his eyes become teary and he opens his arms waiting for his father’s embrace.* Papa?

*Night’s heart melted when he saw Summa’s eyes and heard him say those words. He pulled Summa towards him and held him close. He realized how scared they must have been in that village being pursued by that crazy woman.* I promise, I’ll protect you! I’ll protect both of you!

Summa: *Was glad to be in his father’s embrace. He cried for a while but heard his brother stand up and could feel his anger.*

Nox: *pointing at Night, he yelled out.* You’re not father!! Where the hell were you? Why didn’t you save mommy! *he hit his own chest* You said you’d protect us! But you weren’t there! *he started to cry and was about to run out of the room.*

*Helena got in Nox’s way. She grabbed him and fully embraced him. She looked over to Night, she knew those words had hurt him. She then looked at Nox.* Nocturnus sweetheart, the only reason your father wasn’t there was because he didn’t know. Your mom wanted to save the village on her own and we were here, very far away. We only found out because your grand uncle Gori ordered and investigation. That’s why your auntie Saya found you. *She would get up and take Nox’s hand and bring him closer to Night.* If your father had known you were there, he would have parted mountains just to get to you both and to save you mother. But this is not how it worked out.

*Night had tears in his crimson eyes. Nox’s words cut at him like a thousand daggers. He understood what his mother Helena was doing. So he grabbed Nox and embraced him along with Summa very tightly.* I never would have let that happen if I had known! I never would have left you in that village alone with that woman! I would have come to get you myself! I didn’t know! *he cried to them.* I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!

Summa: *he watched and listened. He was just glad he had a father and a family. He was glad he had a place to call home.*

Nox: *Surprised that Helena had blocked his way but so in need of a hug that he didn’t fight her embrace. He listened to her. He was sad he had said those words after understanding that they didn’t know about him and his brother. That thought scared him. The idea that this family didn’t know they were out there. He then felt himself being pushed into Night’s embrace. He had hurt the man hey would eventually also call his father. Nox finally felt a thug at his heart.* Gomen! I didn’t mean to hurt you! *his eyes watery and his body trembling. But he was surprised. The man who was holding him was warm but strong and he felt protected as he was being held.*

*Helena smiles as she could see that the boys were starting to feel less alone. She kneels behind Night and hugs him from behind to give him support. Her son Night was now a father. Helena’s eyes were also watery. She wished her husband Gin was there to see this reunion. As soon as Night, Nox and Summa stopped trembling. She got up and left the room so that they could get better acquainted. She had already spent time with her grandsons and knew them better. So it was Night’s turn to figure out his twins. She got up.* Night, you should all get some rest after this. I’m going to head out to buy some things we need. *She closes the door behind her and heads out.*
