Personal Information
If you join Skyrie as a member then we’ll record some of your information, including your email address. This information is needed so that we can secure your account and provide you with a good service. This information will always be kept secure, and we will never sell or give this information to any third party without your express consent.
Email Notifications
We may send you updates by email regarding your service, such as payment invoices. We may also send you notifications and newsletters if you have specifically requested them. In addition, you will automatically receive an email notification if another user or a member of staff sends you a private message. You may unsubscribe from email notifications at any time, with the exception of important emails that we are required to send to you, such as those relating to security, policy changes, or payments.
Payment Details
If you become a premium member, or if you purchase a service from us, then we will need to take your payment details. We use Stripe to accept payments, and you can learn more about how Stripe keeps your card details safe if you wish. We only share information with Stripe to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing payments you make on our website.
Security
We take your security very seriously, and we take every precaution to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of your personal information. Your passwords are encrypted and can not be revealed to us or anyone else, and we will always use SSL encryption when asking for sensitive data, such as your card details. Whilst we take great care to ensure that your confidential information remains protected, we cannot guarantee the security of data that is sent over the internet. You are responsible for keeping your password and user details a secret. Nobody at Skyrie will ever ask you for your password, so please do not trust anybody who asks you for it.
Collecting Statistics
We use a tool called Piwik to help provide us with information about our visitors and how they use our site. This records which pages you view, how you found Skyrie, what browser and operating system you use, as well as some other basic information. None of this information records any personally identifying information and it is always collected anonymously. We will never know who you are, just that you are somebody who visited our site. We collect this data so that we can help to improve our website and services, as it helps to tell us which sections of Skyrie are doing well. All of the data we collect is stored by us, and is not sold or shared with any third party. You can find out more about Piwik, or you can opt-in or out here:
Policy Updates
This policy is designed to protect your privacy and your security, and we may update our policy from time-to-time in order to achieve these goals. We will never make dishonest changes to any of our policies, nor will we change them in an effort to disadvantage you. You can always review our latest privacy policy here. If we make any changes to any of our policies that would change the way we deliver our services then we will always make every effort to notify you by email.
