”Sure I am.” Pyralis said, sounding a bit offended. When Blaise grabbed her sword, however, their energy automatically began blending, and with The sword back to his master with no physical or energy connection to the hybrid any longer the communication line dwindered and collapsed. Blaise’s eyebrows furrowed as he chattered in her mind however, and she smiled slightly. “He would like you to know that he is Pyralis, the great sword from the fire demon in Hawaii.” She laughed before straightening up. “Well. Your energy is up?”
-
“Yes, thanks to your ‘great sword’,” she responded.
-
She rolled her eyes. “Okay. Well.” Blaise looked around, thinking of a proper word to depart with. Not a friend, if she were an enemy maybe a stab to the gut, but again that would be pointless. “Later.” She said simply, liking the ring of it and what it promised. Pyralis strapped around her hips she lowered her flame rate to slip into the shadows.
-
Eni waved her hand in a small goodbye, walking into her small base. “Anyone here good with construction?” she called.
-
Blaise’s metal soled shoes dug through the dirt and brush that sprouted up at random. “Alright, so for the henchman I think we should make it clear with the henchman that the Hybrid never existed. If he gives us issues…” Pyralis glowed orange like fire within his sheath. “We’ll get rid of him.” They both said at once, and she grinned. “And then I’ll look over the DNA she left me.”
-
Eni sneezed. “Am I getting a cold?” she wondered. Then she laughed. Right, she can’t get sick! She swept out her wings and took a running leap, sweeping them down and flying into the air. “I suppose, I still have the bunker. Maybe I’ll make Nuri get off his lazy butt and clean it out, haha.”
She thought back to Blaise, wondering how she was going to deal with the girl. She couldn’t have her running about free. She would go after her tomorrow, even if it meant using her secret weapon and disguising herself. -
They walked in silence for a bit, and Blaise whistled quietly mulling over her thoughts. Okay, so after taking care of the henchman and looking at that DNA… “The Hybrid will return for me?” She asked quietly to Pyralis. “I would say no since you really have nothing of interest of her as far as I can see. I mean, other than battle tactics you are one sorry Firekin.” Blaise reached over to his handle and squeezed it tightly to shut hum up. “But! But, she did snatch you that first time and you haven’t really benefited her yet. It is a possibility she is done with you.” The questions swarmed, “But she let me go so easily.” Pyralis sighed, “It is better to be cautious than sorry later.” Blaise groaned, kicking a rock so it shot off in the distance like a bullet catching fire and lodging itself into a tree. “Dammit! I’m not running from her. She can forget that. I mean, who has time to flee from some Hybrid-demi-god wannabe? I have stuff to do.” She stomped off toward her home.
-
Gekido heard Eni “I can help. What do you need built?” he says walking up to her from out of the shadows in the woods “Bless you” he says as she sneezed “What was that all about? And where is she going shall I go and retrieve her?”
-
“No, not today.” Eni replied. “Also, we’re going to attempt to build some semblance of defenses.”
-
“I wouldn’t tell my father about that failure, then.” Blaise said, explaining to the quite distraught henchman at the gate of her home. “You couldn’t have known, her power. I hadn’t expected such power either.” She smiled, clapped a hand on his shoulder. “But I’ll retrieve her, after I take a look at her DNA.” She spun on her heel to climb the steps to her house, and looked at the time once in the foyer. Dinner was well over, and this would be the second night she missed it. She trekked up the stairs to her room, not particularly caring to say anything to anyone as she was too tired, flopping onto her bed to groan. “We should look over the DNA…” “I’m tired..”
-
Eni landed on the roof of the rather large house without a sound. She wasn’t here for Blaise- in fact, she had all but forgotten it was Blaise’s house she was currently situated on. She was here for another… a trader whom she had long assumed dead.
-
Hyper senses were nice when you needed them—when on watch or an enemy attempting a sneak attack…However, being a warrior that slept with ‘one eye open’ had its downfalls of always being on edge even at the slightest noises. Thrusting herself up by her elbows she propped a foot underneath her in the bed to touch her sword’s handle, immediately awake at the sound of a thump on a roof. “I wish it was just a dead bird. A very large dead bird.” She muttered drowsily, and Pyralis rumbled a laugh. “Ahh partner, things are never that simple.” They both felt the undeniable presence of the Hybrid, and Blaise felt guilty that she was glad of her mother throwing one of her ‘you’re always busy’ tantrums to her father, practically forcing the general to take his wife out on a date. Alone. “To the roof!” Shouted Pyralis as she hauled herself off the bed with a yawn, not bothering to put on any shoes as she moved outside to the latter leading up to the roof. She didn’t come up here often, as this roof was a dead time where her family would come up to go star-watching when she was little. The redhead’s hair picked up in the breeze here on the roof, and she let her gold-amber eyes look over the side to the people passing by before shifting them to the silverhead. “Enjoying the view?” She arched a brow, and Pyralis laughed. After thriving off of her newly created fire energy he was feeling much more cheerful it seemed.
-
“Not particularly. Go back to bed, you aren’t ready to fight me again.” Eni said, not taking her eyes of the crowd. Nicolas was brave and stupid to be trading in the city, and even stupider if he thought she would continue supplying his disguise without him paying the due price.
-
“Oh, okay~” She said a bit cheerfully at the thought of returning to the soft duvet and plump pillows strewn across her bed. “Ahem, Partner…” Pyralis’ gruff voice slowed her and Blaise sighed before turning on her heel. “Okay, can’t you go sit on the MCconn’s roof? I highly doubt their view of the crowd is any worse than mine.”
-
Eni shrugged and stretched out her wings, taking a leap off the roof and flying over to another rooftop. She was scanning the crowd from there when she saw the human. He had grown quite accustomed to living among the firekin, she could see that as he peddled his wares to the unaware firekin. She waited until they had left and then glided over to his spot, landing on the table. Her hair, her aura, everything about her now seemed firekin. “Nicolas, Nicolas… you don’t cheat me without paying for it.” she slammed the human, who appeared as much a firekin as she did, against the wall.
