Startled she looks up from her dessert. “A while.” She tells him nervously. “I was changed by my father as a girl.” She stopped not wanting to continue. Its been a while now since I have thought of him.
-
Do you have much contact with him?
*Isen notices how quiet she has become.*
You don’t have to tell me, I won’t push you.
-
Moodily she pushes her food around its dish. “I killed him.” She says abruptly.
-
*Isen isn’t surprised. He isn’t surprised at all. In fact he smiles a bit. Then he begins laughing. Soon he is so loud people are staring at him.
He stops suddenly*
Oh fucking brilliant. You killed him. What kind of a fucking situation am I in
*he carries on laughing*
-
Ava glares at him. “It’s not all that funny you know.” Quieter she continues. “I didnt have a choice.”
-
*He stops laughing, but continues to smile*
I’m being selfish. Sorry.
It’s just a little ironic is all, I’m helping you so I don’t lose my life but I’ll probably die in doing so; that’s all I’m finding funny.
I didn’t mean to mock your past.
-
“Its fine. It has just been a while since I have thought about it.” Raising her eyebrow at him she asks “You believed that I would kill you if you refused to help me?” Her smirk grows.
-
*He suddenly feels very hollow and starts playing with his cup
It’s good you can look back, more often than not… that’s the first step.
He stops playing, looks up and smiles.*
I believe you’d have tried.
-
Humph. “So you doubt my skills then?” Turning her smirk into a genuine smile she goes back to their previous topic. “So when are we going after this /Kane/?”
-
Din sighed, “still have to go to the city for quality supplies but I can’t go now with me going flaming crazy and noticed so… wait,” he remembers the clothes he got from a guy he killed he knew it was his size so he checked it out in his cracked mirror, “this could work,” he laughs an evil laugh and puts the clothes on “I will have to do something about the blood though,” Din says as he turns around.
-
We’ll find him tomorrow. Humans are much friendlier when they’ve had some sleep.
Come to think of it so am I. Tell me do you sleep at all? I know you don’t have to but still…
-
“I cannot. There are times when I might fall unconscious after a immense release of my power, but beyond that no.”
-
Do you do anything characteristically human? Not even out of nostalgia?
-
A crease formed between her brows. “Nostalgia for what? I remember next to nothing of my mother. And she was all I had in the human world.”
