The Electric City

Public / Group
An old tale suggests that there was a city that had extraordinary people. These people lived with powers, not like the ability to fly or be invisible or anything like that. They had the ability to bend electricity to their will. Some people lived peacefully, others got in trouble with their ability. They could not control their powers, and as a cause of this, they destroyed everything in their path. They were put in a special building. This building helped them control their powers. After they were able to do that, they were put on the police force to help keep peace in this wonderfully built city.
There was one thing though, some children were born without powers. They were brought up by their parents just like other children. These kids were called The Unknown. But, one day a mysterious man appeared suddenly. He called himself Finn. He had an aura that was pretty much screaming that he was much more powerful than he looked. Much, much, more powerful than he looked.
(This is an adventure RP, where you can either be someone with powers or one without. Either way, we have to work together to survive. No god-moding, or else this RP won’t be all that fun)

(You happy Bell?)
So first off, I’ll give you the setting. The city is underground, with tall buildings and small lamp posts. After that small introduction, use your imagination, because I know you have it, to navigate through the busy streets and back allies.Sneaking up, Colt watched behind a wall. There he could see the mayor, Randolph or Randy for short, talking to Finn. Colt hated that guy, he could tell there was more to be seen than just a friendly face. He couldn’t catch what they were talking about, but Randy looked quite angry. His big bushy eyebrows turned down, and his short brown hair was messy, he probably hadn’t brushed it yet. But Finn, he looked calm. That was another reason why he hated Finn, he kept his emotions bottled up. Sadly, he never opens that bottle.

Jason was sitting on the edge of a rooftop 9 stories up. He looks around at the rather dark, sunless city, but very lively city. Bustling streets, traffic, lights. Like New York at night. All the time. Jason had grown accustomed to it, and liked it . Sitting up in dark blue jeans, an open hoodie and a black punisher skull shirt that can be seen through the open hood. jumped down into an alley. To slow himself, he ionizes the air to create thrust and lands on all fours.
Jason puts his hands in his pocket and walks out the alley, seamlessly blending into the crowd like everyone else. He felt for a philly cheese steak and left off to go get one from a place he knew. Rather than a generic franchised store, Jason opted for a single quality place. City like this? Best place to go.

Cookies…where are the cookies?
John was looking for a cookie shop to raid. He had a very good technique. First step, send in Beary, then while the shopkeeper was distracted with John’s giant electric bear, John grabs all the cookies in the shop. Mmmmmm cookies…I’m running low. There was so much to see too! So many people. So many full purses within easy grasp. Should we perchance buy cookies for a change? He asked Beary looking down at the electric bear tucked under his arm, a evil grin on his face. Heh, Yeah. I like the sound of that. A new challenge. But the question is who? I could just pick on that fellow over there with his wallet hanging right out of his pocket…Nah, too easy. Looking around he hunted for a tougher target. That one! He knew that was who he was looking for. A old manish person glaring over a wall. Walking over quietly with his bear clutched under his arm, John carefully attempted to reach his small hand into the man’s pocket…(Your move Max~)

Zane walked through the streets looking for something to do. He had spent the last few hours grinding on the newest rpg “Shockstorm” and just felt like getting out for a bit. As he walks along he notices that he is being followed. He cuts into an alleyway and the pursuer follows. He recognizes the face, a bully from his old school named Joshua. Apparently he wanted revenge for the fact that Zane had clocked him in the face for picking on a defenseless freshman. The guy knew how to keep a grudge.
Josha speaks in a low, angry voice “We have unfinished business runt.” The massive hulk increased his speed in order to catch up with Zane. He takes a reckless swipe that allows Zane to counter. The blow hits the stomach, hard enough to knock him back, yet not enough to rupture any organs. Joshua falls back breathless, yet them says with a sly smile ” Too bad you couldn’t always be there to protect the freshmeat. I wailed on him so hard they had him wheeled out in a stretcher.” Rage filled Zane as he thought about the pain that the boy and others had suffered at Joshua’s hands.
He felt it… him slipping into dark mode… he then muttered “Well let me repay the favor.” Zane then grabs onto Joshua’s legs and sends a surge of internal electricity throughout the muscles and nerves. Joshua screams like a wounded animal, yet even this was silenced when Zane sent electricity to his vocals chords to fry them. Once he was finished, Zane walked away from the crippled Joshua and said “I only took your voice and legs this time. Next time it will be your arms.”

Patrick found himself sprawled out on the floor next to his bed. Utterly disoriented, he took a deep breath, placed his palms flat on the floor and pushed himself up into a standing position in one fluent motion. Yawning he slid his hands up his face and started massaging his sore temples. Sighing he looked around for his cell. Around twenty minutes and a flipped over bed later, he found his phone. “Finally.” he sighed under his breath , as he walked into his apartment kitchen he switched the lights and kettle on. With a quick flick of the wrist Patrick pulled his phone up to his eyes as they turned a shocking blue and a tingling sensation went over his body causing goose bumps to spread as he scanned his phone. He noted 2 missed phone calls and 9 new messages. “When did I get so popular?” he muttered putting the phone onto the counter. Feeling a bit sleepy again, he slid down on a chair while we waited for the water to boil. He did not feel like doing anything else he , he closed his eyes.
Startled, Patrick woke up to the whistling of the kettle, yawning he stretched his arms and walked over to the now open cabinets and took a cup of hot&spicy Shin ramen down and opened it, grabbed the kettle and poured the water in a little under the suggested line. Hearing his phone go off he picked it up and felt the shock across his skin as his mind devoured the information. Visually straightening and eyes electric blue Patrick went over the message addressed to James and he mouthed the words how cute and slid the phone back onto the counter again. Quickly walking back into his room to look over his current attire, boxers and his charm bracelets. Patrick slipped on a pair of black jeans from his dresser , A Rocky horror show T-shirt from his closet, green and black striped socks organized in his designated sock drawer and a pair of purple high top converse that were next to his mirror. Seeming pleased with himself, he grabbed a pack of gum and hair wax off his desk and slid the pack into his back pocket pocket, and rubbed a bit of wax onto his fingertips and quickly fixed his hair so the tips were slightly pushed over to the right. As he left his room, he grabbed a plastic fork from a dispenser on the counter and his ramen in hand, he opened his door and exited out into electric city.

*Rosalind’s face is grim as she strides down the corridor.
She enters the building and looks around the silent nightmare, there are no fires just scorch marks where two loving parents had stood. She didn’t know what to expect really.*
‘Hello? Evan? I promise I’m not going to hurt you.’*She moves further into the apartment with caution, one wrong step could be Rosalind’s last.*
‘I know this looks bad but you won’t in trouble if you come with me!’
*She hears shuffling down the end of the hall and moves forward with a quick grace*
‘You’re scared, I get it. I would be too.’
‘Leave me alone!’
‘Evan, I can’t do that; you realise this don’t you.’
‘You’re going to take me away! I didn’t mean to hurt anyone!’*Children are always the hardest to bring in*
‘Evan, I’m going to open the door slowly.’
*She pulls a rubber glove out of her pocket and puts it on. She begins to turn the metal handle when all of a sudden she senses a nauseating wave of pressure.*
‘Evan, you said you don’t want to hurt anyone; don’t start now.’
*The door creaks open and Rosalind is met by a huge blast of electricity. The surge lasts for a few seconds and when it finishes Rosalind is apparently unscathed. In the center of the room a wide-eyed 8 year old boy is sobbing uncontrollably. Rosalind walks up to him, still smiling. All goes black.*

Turning around, he looked down on the boy. He new he was there trying to steal his wallet. Bad for him though, everyone disliked Colt when they got on his bad side. “Why don’t you skedaddle, kid. If you just wanted something to eat, you could’ve just asked.” He said, “What’s your name? I’m Colt.”
Then turning back he saw Finn started to walk away in the direction him and that kid were in. Pushing him in the ally with himself. He hid in the darkness as he watched Finn walk away. If only I was just a little closer, I could have been able to listen in. He thought angrily.(Nah, I think it’s yours now~)

Felix walked aimlessly with a cloud following him it was a cumulus he had made himself, and now he was following it around for some reason. His train of thought had shifted far away Nimbus had assumed he was looking for something but all he could remember was a t-shirt, so he decided that’s what he would look for but he got distracted and made a cloud. while not looking he bumped into a guy walking away from another on the ground his cloud dispersed and Felix’s attention changed to him he apologized, ” hey, sorry about that I was… I waaaaasss oh yeah looking for a t-shirt,” he points at the guy’s game themed t-shirt, “well now that I say it i know that’s not what I was looking for,” he facepalms himself and laughs, “well I guess I’ll just stick by you until I remember what I was doing.”

Much to his embarrassment, John was pulled into the alley. What a mean butthead. Touching me. Me! Usually no one sees him, let alone touch him. He hadn’t been roughed up in such a fasion for a long while. “What was that for?” He whirled upon the man. “Why did you grab me?!” He hissed indignantly.
Boy, John was pissed. Beary…Want to come out to play? He was furious. It was time for Beary to come out. With a thought of concentration he pulled Beary out using electricity from the surrounding lampposts, up to his full form. In mere seconds a giant, 12′ tall, neon-blue bear had formed standing protectively in front of his master. “No one touches me. Unaceptable. Beary, please.”(Bitch please~)

What a haul! Tophat couldn’t help but be impressed – one of the more pathetic groups they dealt with was actually able to nab some interesting artifacts. There were some authentic ancient rock stuff, including pots glowing with electricity that were kind to the skin, some jewelry from long-dead monarchs, and even a heavy ass coffin of one of them (how they got it into such a narrow alley Tophat would never know). Selling all of the loot would make a handsome dime from the right people, though the coffin would be too much of a hassle.
“Well, well, well! You guys have brought in some pretty decent loot this time around. Nothing I couldn’t get myself, of course, but still incredible. How did you manage to get your mits on this?” Tophat marveled.
Several members of the team bore broad grins. Looking pretty proud of himself, a tall, burly, blonde man replied,”We saw news of a coming soon mummy exhibit at the museum and ever since then planned this ela-”
“Fascinating,” Tophat cut him off picking the dirt from under their nails. The man seems to dim a bit at this. “Since the coffin can’t fit into my van, bring it to the warehouse. This will compensate you well,” they brought out a couple of briefcases from the van and threw it to one of the women. She opened one and a gold, sparkly light illuminated her face and that one “Hallelujah”
song started playing just like one of those singing cards. Rather satisfied with whatever amount of cash they were seeing, they parted to the warehouse, loudly making plans to get drunk afterwards.Once they were out of sight, Tophat moved to the back of the van to check that everything was completely hidden. As always, they were, but such an amazing person would always double or triple check even though they know they did it right the first time. Getting into the driver’s seat, Cuckoo jumped from Tophat’s shoulder and curled up on the navigator’s seat. With a little chuckle, Tophat began to drive off.

Zane as begins to revert back to himself he notices that the guy he bumped into is talking. Something about his shirt… he can’t really tell. His mind is calculating how to get away from the area as soon as possible. He hated when his emotions controlled him, it always meant for a quick getaway. The guy then says that he wants to tag along. Got to lead him away… a fried Joshua nearby equals a bad situation if he came to. “Sure, why don’t we get a snack. There is a good cookie place around here.” He then hurrys the stranger away with him just as Joshua’s eyes began to open and a man approached the scene. The man seemed strange, yet Zane couldn’t put his finger on it. There would be time to think about that later
As they near the cookie place, Zane realized how rude he had been. “Sorry for dragging you around. I don’t even know your name. Mine’s Zane. What’s y…” Zane stops short as he sees flashes of blue lightning near the shop. Zane sighs and then thinks “Here I go again.”

Avyen was in a dark corner looking at his pendant, a silver with the shape of a family crest, his Mentor said it was within Avyen’s cradle when he was entrusted to serve the Building at the age of 8 months.
A emerald shield shaped as a leaf crossed by two silver daggers and a red arrow, this was the only thing he knew from his family, a moment later he was sighing and frowning as he often do while trying to remember the family he never had.
Early that night he saw the silhouette of a man falling down from a far away roof top, he said to himself it was not his problem only to see from a dark spot a situation where a Gifted striked down a ruffian and leaved him knocked out on the ground, once again it was not his problem so he just fell deeper into the dark alleys.
All he wanted now was a cup of tea…as Avyen walked away from the shadows he encountered a guy leaving a building, cool dude, but that was something about him, he was eating a box of ramen, Avyen stood there staring at him, Evaluating him, and them he comes close to him smirking “Nice socks lassie”

Jason walked through the street at an electronics store, and picks up a few supplies. Some transistors, circuitry. Various part for a small generator. Capacitors. Batteries. He put them to the cashier as she ringed them up and he paid for it all in cash. About $103. THe cashier bagged it all for him with a smile and Jason took it with a rather faked smile. “Thank you” he said quickly and left walking out rather hardly. He turned and walked
Later Jason walks out a jersey mike’s with his philly. Looking down. Apparently lost in thought. His eyes locked on the ground as he walked idly, and then bumped into a man. “Hey watch it!” The man said walking by. Jason sparked a bit under his clothes and clenched his fist, however the man could not see his fist. “Sorry.” Jason kept walking as did the other man. Jason was angry at himself.
Jason walked into his 2 bedroom apartment. He then sat at his desk as he laid out his his tools, parts and electronics before.
Jason couldn’t help but keep thinking as he ate away from his food. And looked at his punching bag. About electricity. About lightning. About his power. Jason was powerful. He could hold and project large amounts of electricity. Lightning in itself was like the unbridled power of god, used to strike down whoever so god choose. For a while, Jason thought that was how it worked. He had a lot of time to think in Prison. And to research. Because what had happened to him before the week before his trial was forever engraved onto the side of his mind. Like a hit iron brand on the side of a cattle…
(Flashback)
Jason rolls on the ground with another larger kid, Todd. Jason at this time is about 15 and Todd 17. Jason is on top of Todd and viciously swings on him. Making Todd bleed from the nose. Todd back-fists Jason off him causing him to roll off. He gets back to his feet and Todd lunges at him with blurring speed. Jason tries to side step and knee but Todd turns and grabs Jason. Wrapping his arms around Jason, picked him up and slammed him on the hard tile ground, he grounded and pounded him, as if this was an MMA match. Jason tries to get up but Todd is bigger, stronger and not exactly slow. Todd punched Jason repeatedly and rapidly. Jason trying to punch swinging. Punching straight. Try to block. But Todd came in from all angles on Jason. And for every 1 punch Jason landed. Todd landed 6. Jason’s head bouncing against the tile each punched he took. First…his nose broke. Jason’s eyes begin to close up and turn purple. Todd was hurting his own fist from how hard he was punching Jason. Jason’s punches were growing lethargic. He reflexes slowing. Jason was blacking out as his vision disoriented
Jason could hardly see a thing as he came into and out of the world. All he could hear were muffled voices. Todd’s the loudest. He felt like he wanted to throw up. Jason was making out something as he felt the absence of a fist in his face. He saw Todd. Standing up. Shouting something. Jason wondered how did it get like this? He had been preparing for this for months. Planning to himself. Watching videos of fighters. Watching countless instruction videos. He even got a punching bag. He probably spent a bit more then a hundred hours on the bag. Literally. But after all that. All his planning went out the window when that first punch connected with Jason. As if Todd knocked it out of his head.
He couldn’t understand at all what Todd was shouting. He was being pulled back. Restrained. Jason got up to his feet and Todd was getting closer somehow. Oh. Jason broke free. Todd gets to Jason in under a second and elbows in the face. The elbow is a lot more severe than any punched. It is one of the hardest bones to strike with. It hits Jason’s forehead and actually cuts him. Jason gets knocked back and lands on his knees in a makeshift recover sliding against the ground. He gets up. Bleeding from the forehead. Blood leaking into Jason’s eyes. The crowd gathered helps Jason back up.
“You alright man? Jason? Bro. Jason. Come on man speak to me man.” A student says. Jason looks about confused. He sees Todd restrained by 3 people. Jason turns around. Blankly faced. And walks towards Todd again. Jason himself is pulled back. “Jason. Come on man don’t do it man.” “He’s is out brah. Pull him back. We gotta bring him to the nurse.” “Somebody call an ambulance!” A girl yells.
Jason shoves both people off him suddenly. Rage seething in his eyes. A current jumps along Jason. He clenches his fist. As electricity begins to rapidly flow around him and cackle. People begin backing away and Todd stops struggling. Todd is let go as he too backs away now.
Jason holds out his hand at Todd. His arm surges intensely as Jason glows brighter.
*BOOM*
There is a flash and a thunderous noise of an arc discharge. A lightning strike. Jason can’t see anything. All he can see is white. A blinding light. A ringing in his ears. It’s like an explosion went off in front of his face. “Am I blind?!” He thinks “Am I deaf?” Jason wanders around aimlessly. His hands out. He touches a wall. He stops but he can’t feel the wall. Jason hears yelling. Screaming. He wipes his blood from his face
Jason’s site begins to return. He smells a strong smell. A sweet smell….A horrible smell. A smell Jason would never in his life forget. It was acrid and nauseatingly sweet. It reminded him of pork and charcoal. It was all that came close, and was not as pleasant. Jason looks down, and it becomes clear what the smell is.
Jason looks down and to his horror, sees his hands. They are burned, like cooked meat. Not black. But his skin was a darker caramel color now, with patches of a very pale white. Seared. Steaming. His veins larger, bursting from his skin. Forever scarred. That smell was Jason’s own rapidly cooked flesh. The smell of it lingering strongly in his nose. The steam rising from his hands, boiled from his flesh. Jason thought that he would be screaming right now. But he in fact cannot feel anything. Nothing at all in his hands. Nothing at all.
Jason’s attention shifted up. Towards those who stayed. Jason could still see several. People running away. One person still frozen. People wandering around. Some blind. Some deaf. Most temporarily. A few people, not so lucky. Looking at Jason. Jason saw people gathered around a girl laying on the floor. People performing CPR.
“She’s not breathing.” A student says to Jason’s horror. She is in cardiac arrest. Jason’s eyes dart to someone getting up on the floor. Jason sees Todd getting up. Todd looks around in confusion and disbelief. He backs away and runs he disappears down the hall as Jason. Jason looks back blankly at the girl he knew. Nala. Blood is leaking onto his face.
This was not what Jason wanted. Not what he wanted at all. Blood leaks from his head to his face, and he doesn’t notice. He feels someone tackle him to the ground. He doesn’t quite remember who. And he doesn’t care. Jason can hardly remember the next few hours after that. Everything a blur as his whole world seemed to stop. He was wrapped and completely devoured by his own mind for some time. He can recall being taken away. And sirens.

Where am I going again? She thought bitterly as she looked around. A long frown was on her face. She didn’t like the city. How did I end up here again? What day is it? She couldn’t remember. Everything seemed so blurry as she walked. The sidewalk was spinning and the tall buildings were wiggling like those things you’d see in front of a place that sold cars. And the sky? Wait where was the sky. She pulled her head back and looked up and squinted. She felt as If they were in a orb. But they were only under ground yet it made her wonder what it was like up there. I’ve been up there before haven’t I? She closed her eyes suddenly stopping as the people continued walking and brushing pass her. She though , and she thought ,but she couldn’t remember. Maybe she’s always been here. Maybe. After just standing there for a few minutes , her body seemed to be shaking , her eyes were wide and began switching into a mix of green and electric yellow. She began breathing heavily and continued walking forward. Her hands deep into the pockets of her shirts as her flowly cardigan swayed around her as there was some type of odd movement happening between her body and clothing. Her stomach growled and she looked up. No sun . No Sky. No Cloud. Darkness. It’s Dark. I feel cold. Why is it so cold? Inside her head , she couldn’t shut up , it continued to ramble it continued to worry. She felt the ceiling of the underground city coming down on them and the sidewalk rising up , building , crumbling collapsing. By now she was running , holding her hat tightly. Trying to feel safe , because safe was good. Safe was good. She continued to ran , her sneakers tapping quickly against the pavement, she continued to run until a building came into view. She turned into the entrance of the building and jogged up the stairs of the apartment and opened the door to her apartment room and slammed It shut behind her. She breathed slowly and her eyes slowly began to turn green and she slide down the close door and curled up into a ball , her eyes slowly closing. Obviously , it’s not good to think about the past. She thought bitterly and then it dawned on her . Maybe her past was erased on purpose… But who was stopping her from the truth? Who was watching? Her eyes widen and she covered her face. Just breathe. Your thinking crazy. Breathe. Breathe .. Ariel’s eyes closed slowly and she sighed heavily.

(I’M SORRRRY BELL, I JUST HAVEN’T GOTTEN AN IDEA OF WHAT I SHOULD PUT. I HAVE ONE NOW THOUGH!)
As he watched the kid’s bear rise up to twelve feet, he thought up a plan. If this teddy bear absorbs electricity, then all I have to do is add to it. Soon enough it’ll become too big to move and attack.
Grinning, he ran over to it. Forcing the palm of his hand to the teddy bear standing before him. Using his static shock ability, he pulsed some of his electricity into the bear. Seeing it grow was so cool! Having it grow so big it couldn’t even walk without bumping, by that he means breaking, into things was awesome! This was one of the best plans he’s come up with yet!
