Thomas got up and stared at the fire. After a few more seconds of rest he began to walk where the devil girls were, “Annie!” He held his sword tightly as he stared at the fire. With little strength he had left and the lack of sleep he couldn’t do anything but walk. “Annie!” he was hoping that Annie was helping her country and saving lives. Thomas walked to the devils dragging his sword.

“Oh, hero boy finally got a sword…” Valenia glared at Thomas and stood somewhat in front of Annie and Akasha. “Did you enjoy your little hiding break?”

“Tommy why are you carrying a sword?” she facepalms “aren’t you the one who thought killing people, even though they were the first ones to attack you, turned us into monsters?” she let out a deeply sigh “whatever, i will not try to understand you since it’s clear that even you don’t understand yourself…do you at least drink rum?”

“Hang on, now i’m confused. Isn’t he an angel? What, did you guys now each other before all this? I need more painkillers…” then She downed three shots of sudden vodka: one for each pill She popped in her mouth. At the stares of the others, She grinned sheepishly and muttered something about alcohaul and new year’s party.

Thomas stared at them then walked up to Valenia then hugged her, “Good to see you’re okay.” He let go and walked up to Annie and hugged her, “This sword is here not to kill,” he let go and stared at her with a tired face, “It’s here to protect.” He rubbed his eyes and stared at the third devil girl and smiled, “Hey there, I’m Thomas Winter.” Thomas then fell on Annie’s shoulder ,”You people smell like my parents…” He closed his eyes and fell asleep on Annie’s shoulder.

Everything seemed to be happening in Brazil. To get there from new york would take much time. Kanji could not tell how fast thomas was going, but he was going fast and semmed to be generating a sonic boom, a minor cracking noise wherever he ran. He seemed to be going at around mach 1. At that speed, it will probably take him some 5.7 hours to reach Brazil. Kanji himself making such a trip would not be easy. Kanji could travel at such speed, but only for brief periods of time. Air would cause a lot of friction and he would have to make a vacuum around himself to stop the friction from wearing away or ripping away his skin. So, Kanji decided to use one wish.

“I wish for an item that allows me to safety transport myself to wherever I choose instantly withiin the terms of the game.” The wish was granted as a small grey runic rock glowed blue in his hands appears in a flash of light in kanji’s hand. He wemt back to his home to gather some things. Eskrima sticks. A pistol. Armor. Some clothes. And the rest of his arsenal in bags and a case. Kanji mentally commanded the rock to take him in Brazil. Below Kanji on the floor an insignia appear. After about 12 seconds Kanji is then instantly teleported to Brazil, he appeared near the area, and rented a hotel room. Then, he was soon off as he then went to the group, still trying to remain hidden. He arrived and Thomas was there with a sword. Kanji watched from a rooftop of a house as they chastized him sarcastically. The fire was put out

Thomas fell asleep on Annie’s shoulder eventually. Kanji shook his head. He also wondered to himself Thomas would wish for a sword if he was against lethality. A sword it not a weapon that allows for easily controlled lethality. If his bat was not sufficient….perhaps he should have wished for it to become indestructible. On Kanji’s person he had Eskrima sticks, his katana sheathed at his side, his bo staff at his back. His pistol holstered, throwing knives hidden within himself and a his flying guillotine at his back…which looked like a flattened paper lantern…rgight now. Kanji listened to their conversation. It did strike him someone may sense him, however they didn’t before, so he stayed hidden.

“Hey who Are these characters that don’t have an angel OR devil sign next to thier names?” Akasha asked, passing the Surface to Valenia. “That kid seems like he doesn’t belong in a death game like this doesn’t he?” she continued, gesturing at Thomas.

Annie get a little startled at the boy he is so big and still he fell asleep on a little girl shoulder… she signed while patting the boys head, she was thinking about just throwing the boy at the bed, but if she did it there was a chance for he to wake up and she would have to deal with the continuation of The Sword Meant to Protect thing and she was not on the mood for another Thomas Breakdown so she sighed again “what would we do without our little knight in shinning armor right girls?” she giggled softly and proceeded to gently put Thomas in bed, she even covered him up with a blanket she found lying around.

“if they aren’t angel or devil they aren’t players, they must be part of the game police officers” she looked at Thomas “he may be older than me, but he still didn’t found his place in the world…i kinda feel envy of him, he gets to run around the world calling himself a hero without having to make any kind of real sacrifice” she gave the sleeping boy a sad smile “i don’t need him to save me but i can’t save him either…”

Valenia stared at the Surface, thinking hard at what she was seeing. She was distracted when she noticed a unique sign, what looked like a mix of the devil’s and angel’s sign together. She walked over to Akasha and quietly discussed her thoughts with her, not wanting to interrupt the Tannie scene in front of her Wow, now I have a name for them, I’m going mental She thought. “Hey, look at this.” Valenia pointed to the symbol and the girl on the screen they had encounted earlier. “The game controlers don’t have this kind of symbol, they have their own, protector one I’ve noticed. This girl has an entirely different symbol than i’ve seen in any-” Valenia turned the page on the Surface, and automatically shook her head. “This wasn’t here before…” She stared at what appeared to be a boy, a boy that looked like an angel, but had that same confusing symbol by his head. She got a very bad feeling as she turned to Akasha. “Akasha, I think some new people have entered the game, and I don’t think they’re going to play as nice…”

Aquila

Aquila used this time to perform a swift and silent escape, when she was far away from the group… Aquila erased herself from their memories and went to go complete her mission.

Aquila then looked up in the sky, as she had heard something,…

“Fuck.”, she said quietly.

Zi roughly landed in the middle of the group of people in Brazil.. She stumbled and rolled until she came to a stop.

Thomas opened his eyes and look around. He tap his head, “Where’s my hat?” then he felt the bed, “Where am I?” He rubbed his eyes and stared at Annie, “Annie?” He tries to get up but felt a sharp pain in his legs and fell on the bed. He cringed as he held his legs. His breaths became heavy, “What’s… going on?..”

Kanji was sitting down on the house’s roof. Clearly somebody was lying. One of the girls. He couldn’t quite tell but there was an unsettling air to one of them. He couldn’t quite tell who. One of the new girls. However, Kanji’s eyes then narrowed, as he watched the skies. Whatever it was falling from the sky, be they aliens, divine beings or other players. Kanji knew one thing…

Nothing good can come of this.

“Um Annie? That’s not in your head…That’s real.” Valenia turned towards Annie and Akasha. She pointed to Thomas. “We’ve got to get him out of here, he’s injured.” Valenia then turned towards a small book and pressed a small triangle in the center of it. “I hope these goddammn gods know that I’m fucking sick of this game about know.” A small cabinet opened in the wall and Valenia got out a fairly large backpack. She closed the compartment and turned towards the others. “It arrived here at the begining of the game. I’ve never looked at it, but I think it’ll come in handy for this emergency, now pack up your stuff… We’re leving in about three minutes.”

“so i not crazy?” she said with the craziest smile she could put up “thanks for reassuring me on this matter Valenia, but you know what?” she said while completely destroying one of the windows with her water powers “i tired of running” she said while throwing herself out of the window, with the same crazy smile, she creates a sequence of water flushes bellow her feet to leap towards the skies

After cutting a god’s head and another god’s wings on the sky she let herself fall on a great bubble of water she created on a nearby roof top, her dog was chewing the corpse of something that was supposed to be a god on the streets bellow.

She was throwing spikes of ice at the incoming gods from the roof top madly laughing “I AM ANNIE RIVERFIELDS! LET THE SOUND OF MY LAUGHING DIRECT YOU ALL TO THE AFTER LIFE!”
