2847: Three years since the Massacre of Chiron-5, three years that have measured out the tense struggle of the broken intergalactic superpowers to procure a new and beneficial peace. In this short interval, the heroes of old have been deposed, in preference for milder bureaucrats, and the Universe as a whole, every criminal and council, is seeking to rebuild their empire upon the shambles of the cold power vacuum that is space conquest.
